This is a great introduction to Herbal remedies from a Canadian source - which means easy access to most of the herbs.
Pros: 1. The first section provides a great introduction on how to use herbs and why, terminology, dosing, equipment and most importantly a REMINDER to write everything down! 2. The section on individual herbs (kitchen, garden respectively) is super informative and often contains recipes for both ingestion and traditional remedies 3. There is a great resource list at the back and all information is sourced. The author, Katolen Yardley is a respected Canadian Herbalist, so you are in good hands!
Cons: 1. Many of the recipe/tea blends don’t fully explain why certain other herbs work well together - which I always want to know. 2. Some of the recipe directions are very vague.
