Urban landscapes offer artists a rich diversity of architecture, often unique to that one place. They’re fun to draw . . . and not as complicated as they might seem. Renowned artist Sarah Wimperis shows you how to bring cityscapes to life, using media from charcoal to watercolors. With her guidance, you’ll easily capture the mood, texture, and character of urban spaces, from Harlem, NY, to London, Paris, and Venice.

If I were to teach a beginners class in urban sketching, this would be a decent textbook, especially if I lived in England. A bit too basic for me, but if you're just starting out, you should give it a peek.

A quick an easy read but a light-hearted and open approach to the subject. Some inspirational ideas or just a quick overview for beginners.
