Read this in preparation for a visit. A helpful guide to the basilica. It has a convenient map of the interior and all of the various monuments and altars and chapels, numbered for easy location as you walk. The contents of the book then follow those numbered sites in order, making it easy to find the ones you are looking at (or, as in my case, desiring to see). Without this guide, it would be quite overwhelming.

Read English translation which was satisfactory. Content is scholarly with good illustrations. Not too propagandist!
