A short story about a dinosaur whose hunger has him convinced that he needs to make a special treat. As the rhyming story continues, the reader learns about the plan to bake a cake, since that is sure to hit the spot. Mixing and pouring and even a little baking, all before the cake can be iced and is ready to eat. Neo asked about making a cake, but bedtime is not the ideal time to begin this. Perhaps tomorrow...

My grandsons said I'm a Hungry Dinosaur is even better than I'm a Dirty Dinosaur! These are books that will get the liveliest kids loving books because they can act along with Dinosaur.

I love the look of the magic pencil, chocolate frosting, sprinkles, flour, cocoa, and watercolor illustrations. The simple, minimalistic images draw all your attention to the dinosaur’s cake baking and the mess he makes. He is the perfect toddler, doing what he likes, and doing it his way, without parental intervention. Kids will like this dinosaur. The repetition of the onomatopoeic words will help build confidence and reading skills.

Toddlers will find much joy in repeating these action words. The only thing better

This is a really pleasant rhyming book when read aloud. The girls enjoyed how messy the dinosaur was as he baked and spent a lot of time speculating about how grandpa would feel if they baked a cake and made that kind of a mess.

this book is so fun! The illustrations are in pencil and then some aspects might be in other mediums, its not very much to look at but the illustrations are still really fun. I really like to add fun voices when I'm reading, and this book is really fun to read out loud.
