This is an Omegaverse manga where the omega is married to an elite alpha. However, no one at the hubby's job knew his "wife" was an omega. People look down on omegas so the "wife" is unhappy since his husband never told anyone what he was at work. He has been to his husbands work a few times so it was a shock to him.
A wonderfully cute story about a little family and their day to day life - the most remarkable thing, apart from the unbelievable cuteness and warmth of the story is the background setting - this is part of the so-called omega project, a series of manga using the alpha-omega-beta concept as used in fanfiction originally inspired by Teen Wolf (or originally used in Teen Wolf, I guess). There is an explanation of the whole omega verse thing in the beginning, but it wouldn't even have been necessary for most of the story to work. I find it really fascinating to see how a Western fandom influenced Japanese BL in this way though (initially also through fanfiction).
Mmmm... no me gustó.
(... Curious about how their relationship started, we now know they met in college...I need moreeeeeeee)
Damn!!! This manga is good!!! I need to rate it now, I can't wait anymore, the main couple is just too beautiful and I love them. Finally a real Alpha and an Happy Omega, something rare to find in omegaverses. <33333333333333333
Ps: I need A Tomoyasu(Hiromu) and Yuuki story!!!!!!!!!
I read this online because, at the time of my reading, there was no official English translation, and the story seemed to adorable too pass up! I think it is being released in English soon, so if you're on the fence about reading it, that might help you make up your mind!
When I first read this series, I chose it because I wanted to read more omegaverse stories that also built upon and improved the tropes of the genre. If you're not familiar with omegaverse, you might want to read up a bit before you begin. This particular story is one of my favorites within the genre because it is uplifting and lighthearted, more of a slice-of-life story, not really getting into the darker, more possessive, aspects of the genre.
The main story of all 4 volumes follows married alpha-omega couple Hiromu and Misaki after they move to a new neighborhood. They have a young son, Hikari, and begin to build a new life after some issues with their old home and the way they were treated. I really enjoyed this series. It was, at times, a little long and a little too home-focused (not a lot of conflict), but the change of pace was nice. I honestly didn't realize I was reading 4 volumes when I was reading it, so that might have made me think it felt longer and more drawn out than it actually was.
The art style is really great, and the children in the series are absolutely adorable. The relationships shown are also very healthy, which can be a rarity. If you like the first book and want to follow up with this sweet family, I don't think it would be a waste of your time!
The anime adaptation was really cute so I decided to read the original manga. Hi-kun is soooo adorable, just a cute little bundle of joy (and I'm normally not that fond of kids), and the whole vibe is just so wholesome.
Incredibly romantic, sweet and lighthearted BL story about a young family. It's omegaverse, but I think it's done quite tastefully - and, let's be real, anything that brings forth such an adorable toddler has to be a good thing, right? ;D <3
I think I'll revisit this manga many times in the coming years :D
I found out about this series very shortly before the anime started, so I knew a tiny bit going in. I knew it was omegaverse, but this was my first time reading anything like that. I appreciated the information at the beginning of the book - because it explained it in a much "less scary" way than just trying to google what omegaverse is.
The actual series has been really cute so far - the couple does struggle with some discrimination, but most of the people in their lives are very accepting. Their relationship seems very healthy and not toxic at all and they truly make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. The baby is adorable as well. The omegaverse details are sprinkled through, and explained but not overly shoved in your face. If this isn't your first one you probably understand it more. In my opinion, this is actually done much better in the manga than the anime if you have started watching it. (ie the mark on his neck and the pills)
If you are new to omegaverse and are looking for a way to ease into it - this is probably a good place to start, however I don't have anything to compare it to so I'm just speaking from a personal level. I think this is a series you could enjoy even if you don't like omegaverse material, it's just that cute of a story.
I recently found the first 2 episodes of the anime of this series and was hoping the manga might give me a better idea with more character depth and story details to see if it was something I wanted to try and keep up with the releases or not. Hirumi and Masaki are still sweet together, but it seems like Masaki has a bit of a troubled past mostly due to issues with his secondary gender as an omega. Hirumi on the other hand is very protective of his family, especially of Masaki, following his treatment back in their old hometown where they met and at the hands of his own father. It's rather tense when Jiji shows up at their new house, but Hikari sets things straight in about the most adorable way possible for a child. If anything, the two seem to be moving rather quickly with Hinata's addition to the family, though there must be a fairly significant time gap in the chapters given what little is shown of the sequence of events and when the announcement is made.

This is a world where there are three types of humans - alphas, betas and omegas - and the two genders male and female. All in all there are four different sexes, because the male humans have sex organs. And every human, regardless of race and gender, can become pregnant and imporegnate. therefore intersex marriage is quite normal. However, there is quite some racism, it is still a standard to marry in your race, so alphas marry alphas etc. Our pair is an alpha and an omega male couple who have a cute son. There isn't much drama and it is at the core just a sweet story about a growing family.
A delightfully wholesome story about a same-sex couple and their daily lives as they raise their children. It is set in the omegaverse which means one of the men in the couple actually gave birth to the children. But that is so seamlessly interwoven in the story that you will never find it logically interfering with the plot.
This one really had me thinking about family and bursting with love. The children are so pure and almost always the solution to every conflict in the story. I also appreciate how open everyone is about their feelings in this story. We can definitely learn a thing or two from this one about acceptance, the meaning of togetherness and ultimately the love of a family.
Tadaima Okaeri fills a bit of the whole in the heart of any lonely soul.
I guess this was removed from all of the platforms it was on so I was only able to read the first volume. This was cute. It was mostly just happy, wholesome, family content. Then towards the end a small conflict arose that opened it up for a second book. When I started it I was a little confused on what the plot was lol. Since the couple was already together and there didn't seem to be any issues. I thought it was just going to be episodic day in the life of this family type things. Now it makes sense why it's 5 volumes, but since it's not available anywhere I can't continue and I don't like it enough to buy the physical copies and attempt to google translate them lol.
A sweet, calming story about a family and the beloved friends that help them out with day-to-day dramas that occur, along with some struggles over identity, growing up, and how often one should say ‘I love you’. Nice when you get little titbits of world-building sprinkled in through background characters and general culture. No serious drama or much plot, but perfect for some escapism into the life of a happy family.
Legitimately one of the CUTEST things I've ever read in my life. It's so precious. Soooo precious. One of the things this manga offers that 99% of yaoi don't is that this is 100% about family and paternal care. There is maybe one or two very brief instances that allude to sex, but it's not explicit or inappropriate by any means. Really, the manga is about the two perfect little angels the two male leads have as their children. It honestly made me tear up a bit at just how adorable Hikari is.
‘tadaima, okaeri’ has everything i’ve always wanted! the amount of comfort i get while reading this book continuously made me burst into tears and i would never want it any way else ;A;
When I picked up this manga, I didn't expect this kind of story at all. I mean, usually, Omegaverse story is full of lustful and intense themes. But this manga is different. It's totally soft and heartwarming, with a little hint of bittersweet feeling lingering in it. This is the first time I've read a relationship of a family with normal everyday life as the main theme in Omegaverse. And I totally love how the story turned out.
Such a breath of fresh air! 🌬 A good read indeed! 💎✨
[ ★★★,5 / 5 ]
((p.s. : i think i have a weakness towards cute little children in a manga. damn.))
I'd give this a four if the story wasn't so disjointed. There is a central plot but it's often cut up into scenes set at varying times rather than one continuous flow. If you're the type that likes this style, definitely read this. But even if you're not, it's still a peaceful and satisfying read. The main couple is a fairy tale, romantics will definitely want to consume. Extra points go to their cute kid.
