Deacon Douglas has it all. A loving home, good looks, a fast track to the major league.

But then he makes a mistake. A mistake that would derail most, but not him. He takes the challenge, turns the mistake into another accomplishment. His life it altered – for the better.

Saylor Lewis is just a girl. A girl she doesn’t even know. Always the good girl, never rocking the boa

Loved this one..I was told I didn't need tissues but i still teared up..TWICE! Lol..even when you don't mean to evoke emotions you do. Well done friend. ❤

I know going into a Leigh Ann Lunsford book I will be a part of something. Usually I am a part of the kleenex as I cry like a big baby, this time I was promised there would be no tears. LIES! (LOL)This author writes in a way that even though you are only a witness to the story you are so connected that their struggles become your own. Their ang

This was my first ever read by Leigh Anne Lunsford. And I can say with absolute certainty it will NOT be my last. Generally for me when I read a book it takes a couple of chapters for me to really get into it. I would say I was probably hooked and deemed it book crack 5 pages in. Not only do I just love the author's writing style her characters were just so easy for me to love. The story was so good and well written I couldn't stop reading It until I was completely done. Saylor Lewis moves into ...more

Review by Lisa Kane

Saylor Lewis is determined to keep on the straight and narrow. She's just started college and is there on a scholarship. She's rooming with two other girls, Avery and Emmberlee. Living right by them are their closest friends, Deacon, Mason and Caden. Their lives could not be any more different than hers. All have wealthy families and money has never been a concern. Saylor's dad abandoned them, then died shortly after. Her mom struggled to keep a roof over their heads and food

This is the first book I have read from this author and now I am a fan. This is the first book in the Endgame series. This book was a homerun with bases loaded.

This is the story about two college students Saylor Lewis and Deacon Douglas and their struggles in finding love.
Saylor Lewis has had a really hard life growing up. Her parent's split up when she was just a little girl. When she was just a teenager she finds out that her dad died. Her mom Nina was left with her husband's debt and she h

Well I finally found a Leigh Ann Lunsford book that didn't have me bawling!! Playing Fate was amazing! Saylor has lived a life full of being let down and feeling like the other shoe is going to drop at any moment. Her dad left and then passed away and she watched her mom struggle until she just couldn't fight anymore and they had to move. She vowed she would never depend on anyone ever in her life and never have to owe anybody anything. When she goes off to college, she's thrown into the fire of ...more

Baseball has and always will be my ultimate favorite sport. I love everything about the game.... The crowds, the buzz of excitement over who's going to win, the food, the drinks, and now I can add something else to this.... Deacon and Saylor! Yes, I know, they're fictional characters but God... The book was so well written you'd think they were real!

Deacon is just trying to live his life the best way he can, given his circumstances. With the help of his parents and friends... He's not doing too

Playing Fate by Leigh Ann Lunsford was a great 5 star read.
(Endgame Series #1)

This is Deacon and Saylor’s story.
Saylor has grown up in a different lifestyle then her friends. They grew up with money and never had a need/want for anything. Saylor has always worked hard for what she has, although her mom has remarried she refuses to ask her step-father for money.

Deacon has some things that he is trying to work out. His goal was to play in the pros but he’s not sure what he wants anymore. When he

Was an enjoyable read, had a lot of angst, at times did get annoyed of the back and forth between them and her constantly pushing him away. I really loved Deacon's character, and i loved how he was with Julie and all that he gave up. I liked Saylor's character but at times the back and forth she played with Deacon started to annoy me.

I have to add thought that I would have loved to seen more sports action included, it's what I love most about sports romance, seeing the passion they have for a s

What an amazing start to this new great series!!! The minute this book landed on my kindle I could not put it down!!!

I just fell in love with Deacon and Saylor and of course the whole gang of secondary characters that I hope we get to know a lot better as the series goes on... I just fell in love with Deacon and Saylor

I just thought Deacon was the perfect alpha to counter Saylor and her fiestiness!!!

I just cant wait for more from this series!!!

Actually 3.5/3.75 stars. I liked it very much but I felt it skipped time a lot. For example, they would be getting to know each other and then it would be 2 months later and they would be taking about some of the things that happened in those 2 months. Why not just make it part of the story? On the other hand, there where plenty of things that were described well. I was ready was going to give this 4 stars until the end. But I would definitely recommend this book.

I am excited to have found another author who is able to evoke such passion and emotion in her readers, helping them to connect with the characters as they learn about themselves and journey through the prose that have been woven together.

In Playing Fate, readers are introduced to Saylor Lewis, a young woman determined to make it on her own—whose focus is on her college career and the scholarship she has earned. Having watched her mother struggle for years to simply survive, Saylor is determined

She only wants to work hard to finish school and become a successful person that can take care of herself. Saylor finds herself in the middle of people who care greatl ...more

I must know more about this circle of friends. From the beginning, we see their bond and loyalty. I will be adding the entire Endgame series to my collection as soon as it is available. Leigh Ann Lunsford took this sports romance to a whole new level.

Deacon Douglas is the definition of a star athlete. He has a great family support team, he's super handsome and he's on his way to become a major-league star. But his life takes a turn and now his priorities have changed.

Seriously, it is incredibly hard form words right now! Wow, just wow is about all I am able to form. Leigh Ann Lunsford has done me in with Playing Fate! This absolutely amazingly perfect book unquestionably merits way more than the 5 stars I am able to give! I have always been a sports fan and Lunsford definitely does not disappoint. Our main characters Deacon and Saylor are beyond perfect but they would not be who they are with out their supporting characters!

Playing Fate by Leigh Ann Lunsford was so good. Wow. This story had me hooked from page one, which seems hard to do for me lately. I think the reason is because I completely connected with Saylor. I knew everything she was feeling, as I've been there.

Saylor Lewis moved from New Mexico to Florida and now to Kansas for College. Her father left her mother and then died, leaving her with an obscene amount of debt. She found a house with two other girls and realized that the twosome is really five be

Playing Fate by Leigh Ann Lunsford is the first book in the Endgame Series. Deacon Douglas “DD” lives the American Dream. He is good looking, rich, and is athletically talented. He is on the fast track to play major league baseball along with his close friends. He has a past mistake that has altered his life for the better, adding the attractive qualities of being well grounded and responsible to an already perfect package.

WARNING SPOILERS.....Playing fate by Leigh Ann Lunsford is the first book in the Endgame series, and uses the idea of a single dad trying to juggle a baby, collage, baseball and love.
Deacon Douglas has a lot on his plate, more than most 19-year-old college students. But his priority is and always will be Julie. Trying to find a balance in his life, he starts to, unconsciously, push his friends away, but when Saylor Lewis moves in 2 doors down, his world is rocked and he realises something has go

Deacon Douglas is young, sexy, loving, and is a incredible baseball player. His whole future looks bright. Saylor Lewis is reserved, a introvert, and has always followed the rules. Deacon wants her and what Deacon wants he gets. Saylor is very afraid of making relationships. This book has it all, pain, love, hot sexy time, heartache, secrets, fun, and determinatio ...more

Playing Fate (Endgame Series #1) by Leigh Ann Lunsford is a fabulous book…. definitely 4.5 star worthy. It had me laughing and crying.
We first meet Saylor when world falls apart, her parents split, daddy dies and her and her mom have to move across the country leaving her friends behind. After moving to Florida, her mom meets Jack, and they get married. Saylor doesn't like borrowing or owing people money but when she gets accepted to college, she gives in and lets her mom and stepdad help her.
