I'm used to going for the easy things in life.
The easy A in school.
The easy lay in bed. The easy life my trust fund affords me.
Until I met Shelby.
Never in my life have I found retro T-shirts and lip balm so damn sexy.
She's exactly what I never knew I wanted.
And she's anything but easy.
But suddenly, easy is overrated.

Only one damn problem... For Shelby, hating me is easy.

When I read the synopsis of Blind Spot by Katana Collins, it sounded like a fun read so I immediately bumped it up on my TBR pile bypassing the other books that I need to read and review. As much as I enjoyed the book, it still didn’t live up to expectation. The story line was monotonous in several scenes and so I didn’t feel the strong connection to either Shelby and Tate. Don’t get me wrong the book is well-written, but it didn’t le

Hmm.... Well I’m on the fence. I sort of loved this story but I felt like it was just a tad bit too slow to hook me fully. Blind Spot pairs up Shelby and Tate. He’s the trust fund college kid living in the penthouse above her single bedroom box of an apartment – and although there is an instant attraction and a great first encounter, parts of this story stalled for me.

I love the cover, the blurb and the whole concept of this book. And although I did enjoy it, it just wasn’t a memorable read. Me

This book does a lot of things that are really awesome. First, #CoverWin ... that cover grabs your attention and makes you want to read about the man behind that picture. Second, the story-line isn't overused so its attractive to a person like myself who is constantly reading. And third, the synopsis was written in a very eye-catching manner, so #BlurbWin.

However, when I started reading and getting into this story, it took a while for it to wow me. That was disappointing, but when it finally di

I enjoyed this book. Shelby and Tate had really great chemistry. The story was interesting and I was loving it until we got to the big misunderstanding that always takes place in NA books. I liked the writing, the pace of the story and the characters. My only issue with this one was the big misunderstanding that happened and the characters reaction to it. It was a bit too predictable and kind of pissed me off. I did still enjoy this book and would definitely read more by this author in the futur ...more

"...I could handle a little darkness. Because I had a feeling that deeper below that darkness was something blindingly beautiful and bright, ready to shine through."
Where do I start with this beauty? It's been a couple days since I read this and I'm still tearing up at how insanely beautiful it was! This book takes the prize of being my favorite ending ever. That ending left such an unforgettable impression on me that no book has done s
This is a light and easy romance with a rich, trust fund male who is used to having everything he wants without any effort whilst she is an orphan who has to work hard for all her successes. Their insta-love/attraction leads to some misunderstandings but his patience and resilience make this an enjoyable read to escape into. She's been damaged both physically and emotionally by events from the past but he is willing to work hard to help her and to be patient to help her heal and trust again.

“Was it possible to loathe something you wanted to lick so much?”

Shelby stays away from men. After a troubling incident in her youth, boys just aren’t on her radar. She is too strong, determined, and focused to need distractions. However, one look at Tate and those thoughts flew out the window.

“The flutters were like no other I’d experienced. I was far from a blushing virgin, but still, no man had been able to cause chill bumps to surface with just a look. Until now, apparently.”

I wasn’t sure when I started Blind Spot if I was going to be satisfied with this story. I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to handle the “spoiled rich boy” theme that it started off with … If I was truly going to end up hating Tate … if my heart was truly going to break for Shelby.

Katana Collins did a wonderful job in getting me to have so many different feelings for all of the characters that she wrote that I can’t help but wo

When Shelby's mum died she had no-one left but her stepbrother Harrison and best friend Regan. Her stepfather feeling guilty gets her an apartment in a good part of the neighbourhood after making a call and getting her application bumped up the list. It's not big but for Shelby, it's perfect and it's hers. With her mother gone , reading this made me relate as she talks about missing her mother and how she wishes she could call her and with my mum being gone 2 1/2 years now I can relate to it as ...more

Thank you, Entangled.

This book gave me one of those “it’s me, not you” moments, and that’s why I’m not rating it higher.

There’s nothing particularly wrong with it. Nothing I can point out as the reason why I didn’t fall madly in love with it. The writing is solid. The characters have good backstories. The sexy scenes are hot. The drama is there.

Still, I just couldn’t… connect, I guess, which makes this review much harder to write.

So, let’s start with the

A sweet romance, that is an easy read, it is written well and the characters within the story are endearing and easy to love whilst reading.

The story focuses on how to survive loss, learning to trust again after suffering at the hands of authority and overcoming fear. Also having patience and understanding. Shelby and Tate the main characters in the book have to learn the balancing act and the banter as well as the misunderstandings they have is wonderful, whilst they stumble through their diffi

I really enjoyed this one. While there isn't anything particularly spectacular about it, it does have a nice story with a very easy flow to it. The writing is excellent and the characters are interesting, it just didn't have that "awww" moment I needed to make this a 5 star read. Tate was great with Shelby though and I really appreciated how he didn't push her. Overall the book did keep me entertained and I would definitely recommend it.

I don't really know what to say about this book. There was nothing really wrong with it, I just wasn't wowed by it. The storyline felt familiar with the damaged leading lady having a hard time letting the leading man into her life. From the description, I had envisioned Tate as more of a bad boy but he was kind of a softie. I also didn't expect Shelby to cave as quickly as she did. So that was a little d

I’ve been so unlucky with most of the books I’ve been requesting on NetGalley, as you might have been seeing on my reviews, that I went to this one with low expectations. Good thing I actually really liked this one and it was a pleasant surprise.

Sometimes you just need a good college romance to get your romance feelers satisfied. At least, sometimes I do. And Blind Spot by Katana Collins totally hit the spot for me. Blind Spot is a new adult college contemporary romance, and I really enjoyed it. I had a little snag with the plot details early on, but the characters more than made up for it. Overall, this was a satisfying romance for me.

This was a quick read and it wasn’t necessarily bad, but it also wasn’t necessarily good. The biggest problem I had with this is the lack of connection between Shelby and Tate. They fell for each other SUPER quickly (and by super, I mean SUPERRRRR) that I just couldn’t believe it.

“I didn’t want any of them, just Shelby. I shook myself out of it, It was the challenge, that was all. It had to be”

The good:

This is a sweet, love story about overcoming fear and surviving all the loss and pain that life can throw in your lap.

From their sarcastic banter to their emotional hangups, Shelby and Tate are lovable characters, learning and growing beyond their opposite pasts.

I love that the author isn't afraid to touch on emotionally explosive topics and some of the "REAL life" consequences of dealing with and

So emotional, so heart-achingly sexy and yet sweet with a hero I did NOT picture as a hero at first, and a young woman who has been through some serious stuff. I fell hard for Blind Spot and it was amazing with a roller coaster of emotions and a romance that was just my type.

The characters I found truly endearing. I loved how there was a unique quirkiness and irresistible charm to both our hero and heroine. And the plot, OMG how I LOOOOOVED the plot!

The best part of the book in my opinion is the characters. Shelby is a smart independent young lady. She is loyal to her friends. She does not have a lot of friends, she is kind of closed off. there are things in her past that explain why. She does not like to ask for or receive help. It was hard for her to ask Tate to help her with her french class. then there is Tate. I loved him. He had is issues and his insecurities but he was one of the sweetest heroes I have

Blind Spot was not what I expected. Tate was more of a lost soul than a bad boy. Until meeting Shelby, his life was a piece of cake. Shelby taught him that the more effort you apply, the more precious the reward. Tate was Shelby's total opposite. She knew anything worth having was a fight to hold on to. Her life was full of turmoil and hurt. Her ability to trust is non-existent and her BS radar is permanently on high alert. Meeting Tate taught her that she was deserving of love and he brought ba ...more

Four Beautiful Stars! Shelby has had a hard life and does not trust very easily. She thinks she is moving on with her life when she moves in the new apartment but then she sees Tate. This was a quick read. It definitely wasn't a bad read, it was just more of a typical rich boy meets poor girl. He wants to change his ways just for her. She's damaged. He wants to fix her. They work through it together, suffer through a few miscommunications and voilà it's all back to roses and being in love. Shelby and Tate were a cute couple. Throw in some steam & you've got a light, easy read.

Wow, this book has so many different levels to it, by the time you get to the end, you better have a box of Kleenex waiting, because you’re going to need it.

Tate is the rich guy at school, Govenor’s son, is getting over a bad breakup with his ex fiancé who only wanted him for his money, so he’s totally the playboy now. He lives in an upscale apartment, penthouse of course, school comes easy to him as he enters his college senior year. Shelby is a hard working student who has recently lost her mo
