A songwriter is nothing without his muse. Sucks that mine turns out to be Katherine D’Arcy––hot as hell, but the very definition of country-club living and everything I came to this quiet little island to escape. The last thing I need is some live life by her day-planner summer girl screwing with my head, but I can’t stop thinking about her…those curves, silky brown hair, ...more

I hate doing this, especially considering this is an ARC, but I'm not feeling this even the tiniest little bit. Technically, the writing is excellent but the story itself can't seem to get moving. It's taken me several days of trying then putting it aside after boredom sets in to reach the almost half way point. Time to throw in the towel.

I really loved this book! I liked the characters, the setting of the island and the plot. I love the way both Bennett and Katherine changed and grew throughout this book. Bennett was perfect- he is the best book boyfriend. There was a little bit of angst, a tiny amount of drama and some really good steamy scenes. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more by this author.

If you like NA romance, you will LOVE this book!

New Adult romance usually isn't my first choice. But holy cow, I was SUCKED IN to this book. Couldn't put it down! The story moved at a perfect pace, and A.S. Did a fantastic job of keeping me sucked in by dropping little hints about a huge mystery that I couldn't wait to see solved!

I loved Katherine. Her inner monologues gave me some good chuckles, and I enjoyed watching her grow as a person throughout the book.

And Bennet. Oh my gosh. You WILL du

Loved this one!! The writing was fantastic and the characters grabbed my attention immediately. It was fun to watch Katherine evolve from the very dependent, rigid girl we first meet in the story to the more relaxed, fun loving Katherine she truly is. She arrived in the island town of Little Bear just wanting to put in her time, get paid, and get back to her real life. Never did she expect what the summer had in store for her. A couple of dogs, some really good friends, and a very sexy guy turn ...more

This is A.S. Green's debut novel and I massively enjoyed it! The characters felt incredibly real and it was no surprise that they won me over fairly quickly. They were well thought out and because of that, I was also interested in the side characters.
We follow Katherine, a 20 year-old lover of lists and all things clean, as she navigates a summer job that is completely out of her comfort zone with the intent of finding her true self. T

Wow, just wow! This book was amazing and is totally big screen worthy.

I absolutely loved this book & I couldn't put it down. I rank this book right up there with Nicholas Sparks.

Sometimes our childhood affects who we are as adults and the choices we make...Kathrine has her whole life planned out in perfect order until the unexpected happens. This book will take you through her journey to get outside of her comfort zone. That's when she takes a summer job on a little island. It is there that

Summer Girl by A.S. Green is the perfect end of summer read! The story starts off a little slow, but once she reaches the island the real story begins. Throughout the novel, Katherine finds herself taking so many twist and turns. Don't forget about the surprise towards the end... You won't want to miss this phenomenal read! :)

Summer Girl is a New Adult Romance Standalone book written by A.S. Green; I loved this story, and, well, it's an standalone so far, I don't know if she'd write about any other character who appeared in this book or anything, but I'd like to, seriously.

As the blurb says, a songwriter is nothing without his muse, and Bennet knows perfectly how it is and how it feels, you can say he's been through a block-author/songwriter phase, but wh

I loved this story so much!! This was a first read for me by A.S. Green but I can say that it won't be my last. I love her writing style and the way that she was able to suck me into this story from the very beginning and keep my attention the whole way through. The characters were very well developed and I fell in love with them!

It's like he knows they'll eventually end up together, even though he's not ready right now. summer girl, is a sweet (and sexy) new adult romance by a.s. green. told in the alternating(ish) viewpoints of our two leads, katherine d'arcy and bennet whose last name is kind of a spoiler so i won't say it here.

katherine is a list-maker, a planner, someone who needs to control her emotions and her surroundings to feel safe. she has deep-seated abandonment issues and is trapped in a platonic relationship with her best friend, andrew mason, who she happens to think she is madly in love with. w

This book was so refreshing. I loved the idea and the concept behind it all.

When I met the heroine, I seriously wanted to shake her. She was a master-compartmentalizer. She was set on having life a certain way and was bound and determined to make it all happen. When she got some really devastating news about her college fund, she knew she had to find a better job to make tuition happen. Her friend, who was hilarious and supportive and FUN, found her the perfect job for the perfect amount of mon

Summer Girl is a steadily paced new adult romance with a HEA!

Summer Girl is a good new adult romance about two people who both needed to find themselves individually again to truly be their bests, especially Katherine, but through that, they also find that in each other they can bring each others best out and inspire. Summer Girl is very steadily paced, spread over a three month period, so it’s a fairly long read (I couldn’t read it in one sitting to be truthful) but don’t be put off by that.

I'm a bit torn with this one. I liked the romance, and really liked Katherine and Bennet together, and the setting of Little Bear and it's (sometimes quirky) inhabitants was wonderful. But Katherine's character annoyed me for a bit, especially her obsession with Andrew. I just couldn't understand what exactly she saw in him. And I liked the hero, Bennet, but didn't necessarily get to know him that well.

I really, really enjoyed the middle 3rd of this. Bennet and Katherine exploring Little Bear, K

I had the pleasure of reading Summer Girl last night, and let me tell you - it is a book that you don't want to pass up. I could not put it down, and had a hangover when I finished. It was so good. The story involves the main character, Katherine D'Arcy house sitting for the Summer in a beautiful, yet very rural town. She knows no one, but ends up becoming friends with the ferry driver - Bennett, a song writer escaping a life he didn't want. Katherine isn't escaping, but she isn't NOT escaping. ...more

I am so torn about this book. I honestly thought the beginning was very slow. It took me a while to get into the book. I struggled, but I finally got into it, I started to fall in love with it. Katherine D’Arcy took a while to warm up to. She was not someone you warmed up to right off the bat. She has kind of a tough go at life. Her mother has spent her college tuition paying off her mortgage to keep up appearances. Now forced to come up with college tuition, she takes a summer job at lighthouse ...more

Katherine is a planner who loves lists. She has gotten a summer job tending to the lighthouse at Little Bear Island. As a songwriter trying to come up with words I understand Bennett has it hard right now but felt there should have been more. Katherine was okay for him but didn`t really feel any spark between them. The passion could have been there but felt Katherine was stuck in her other life with her best friend who by now should have made his feelings known to her. I loved that Bennett was torn between hating her for what she represents and wanting to love her for who

It's 2:35 in the morning as I write this. I JUST finished Summer Girl, and all I have to say is that I love this book so hard. Summer Girl is very well-written and truly gave my heart a nice, big and warm squeeze. This feels like a story I'll be thinking about for days, unwilling to let these characters go. Bennet and D'Arcy are simply really special. Definitely recommend!
