She is from Delhi while Rohit is from Pune. They pursue M.B.B.S from Bharat Medical College. They both met first at college. Rohit is a stud and carefree. He never takes studies seriously. Aisha is the complete opposite. She is studious and sincere. Apart from these two, there are Alok, a small-town boy. Neha, a sarcastic one and Kriti, love of Alok and a good friend.

These five spend their college life together. They share love, joy, drama, agony, horror everything. They always help each other no matter what the situation is. Rohit and Aisha soon fall for each other. Their relationship is perfect. They complement each other. Rohit's life has completely changed because of Aisha. She brings the best out of him. There love story is sweet and simple. They all were happy until a tragedy hit their life. A tragic incident turns their world upside down.

I am not gonna spoil the story by telling you about the traumatic incident. It was a turning point in the story and their lives as well. They all completed their graduation. Rohit and Aisha dreamed of their marriage; Alok, Neha, and Kriti were looking forward to their post-graduation. They all were excited for Aisha and Rohit. Their love was strong, and it had left a positive influence on everyone's life.

We all have regrets in our life. We have dark sides as well. But we don't show that often. It only comes out when we lost something very dear to us or when someone cheats us, leaves us alone forever. Some people forget and forgive, but some seek for revenge. This story is a perfect blend of love and seeking revenge. Sometimes your emotions cloud your judgment, and you no longer are the same person as you were once.

The author describes their friendship and love life in detail. I can connect with the characters. I felt their joy and pain. The writing is flawless. The story is engaging and didn't bore me. It shows the reality of our society; a harsh one. The author tries to bring a change in the community through this story. This book gives you a sad ending and leaves the reader with so many questions and pain. The author creates suspense elements very well. This story touches my soul and makes me cry.

The narration is powerful. The author narrates Aisha's relationship with her parents well. The story is described by Alok's point of view. The characters grow with the story. But I expect more from Neha and Kriti's character. The story keeps readers hooked. The language is simple. At some points, it feels cliche. I love reading the letter written by Aisha to Rohit. Circumstances change a good person into a monster. There is a lot more about this story rather than love. All the happy moments they shared with each other will live with you even after the story ends. I would strongly recommend this book to everyone. "To Love with Love."

A good story is important but a great writer is the one who does wonders with the story. This goes the same with this book.
Firstly, the book's cover and title is enough to appeal anyone. Cover is unarguably impressive but the title is rock-solid.
Secondly, the story of the novel seems like I'm experiencing any film on screen. I really wish to see a movie on this novel. Amazingly written.

The reason why I chose this book for review was the vibrant cover. It was so well-designed that I hoped that the story would be as good as the cover. But I think I went in with too many expectations when compared to what I actually got out of it.

'Until Love Sets Us Apart' starts off with Aadi, a writer and an MBBS student, trying to find out details of a murder case so that he can put it in his next novel. But what he and his friends find out chills them. How can a beautiful love story quickly turn so gory? What exactly happens and how the entire story pans out forms the rest of the story.

While the story, as you go page by page, wasn’t as appealing to me, looking back at the story in hindsight gives more detail than I had expected. The character detailing becomes clearer towards the end, and I think that’s not a bad thing. The kind of love portrayed between the two protagonists is rare and the stuff of dreams. And to see it flourish was a sort of guilty pleasure for me.

I say ‘guilty pleasure’ not because I’m cynical and such a love doesn’t exist. It is because I liked reading about Rohit and Aisha’s love story despite the not-so-great writing. It is full of clichés that could have been done away with. Cliché phrases that are badly placed and don’t need to be there. Plus, there are quite a few inconsistencies in the story that the author needs to hammer out.

The one thing that I do not agree with that the author declares in this book is: Injustice is best combated with non-violence. That is not how it works, in my opinion. Gandhi might have started that against the British but even then, it was unfair on a number of levels, even if it got us our independence. But this is just my opinion.

Aditya Nighhot is 20 years old and has a long way to go. If his first novel can evoke so many emotions, imagine what a little honing and sharpening of his skills can do. Hopefully, whatever story he is writing next will have all the elements in a better order than they are in this one. There’s a long way to go for the young author and he has to make sure that he only looks forward and not repeat the chinks that are in this one.

'Until Love Sets Us Apart' is an easy read that you can finish in one sitting. Ignore the clichés and you will probably enjoy the book. ...more

So I loved the book despite it's familiar tropes. For me what matters most is how you feel while reading a book and it definitely moved me despite again same tropes. It's a love story of course, also it's a wonderful first attempt by the author Aditya Nighhot (All the Best Buddy).

The book begins with the news of some murders and story moves ahead when the author along with his friends tries to find more about the killer. And then it becomes a story like hundreds of books set in different course So I loved the book despite it's familiar tropes. For me what matters most is how you feel while reading a book and it definitely moved me despite again same tropes. It's a love story of course, also it's a wonderful first attempt by the author Aditya Nighhot (All the Best Buddy).

The book begins with the news of some murders and story moves ahead when the author along with his friends tries to find more about the killer. And then it becomes a story like hundreds of books set in different courses and colleges, Engineering, IIT, IIM, MBBS, MIT, NIT etc. But again despite my repeated use of the word tropes, the difference is in the execution of the material and it is written wonderfully. Also I liked the poems and songs and cover is nice too.

One mistake though which is mentioned in the first few chapters when the writer goes to get information he is told that information can't be shared as it can sway the jury. Well we haven't had jury system in our courts since the Nanavati case in 1959, jury system was discontinued in India after that except for Parsis who still have Jury Trials for their Matrimonial Disputes (Information from Wikipedia, where else? :) )

Overall I would say that Aditya definitely has talent and hopefully his next book would also be this good or even better. So give it your support and read and share and then keep on Reading.

People who don't read generally ask me my reasons for reading. Simply put I just love reading and so to that end I have made it my motto to just Keep on Reading. I love to read everything except for Self Help books but even those once in a while. I read almost all the genre but YA, Fantasy, Biographies are the most. My favorite series is, of course, Harry Potter but then there are many more books that I just adore. I have bookcases filled with books which are waiting to be read so can't stay and spend more time in this review, so remember I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and then just Keep on Reading. ...more

I was happy to know that ‘Until Love Sets Us Apart’ has been declared a national bestseller recently. It is published by Fingerprint Publishing, who are one of my favorite publishers and are also publishing my book in the near future. I had bought it a couple of months back, but I got a chance to read it only a few weeks back.

The story starts off well with a murder mystery and an author and his friends trying to find out what exactly happened by listening to the narration of Alok, the suspected I was happy to know that ‘Until Love Sets Us Apart’ has been declared a national bestseller recently. It is published by Fingerprint Publishing, who are one of my favorite publishers and are also publishing my book in the near future. I had bought it a couple of months back, but I got a chance to read it only a few weeks back.

The story starts off well with a murder mystery and an author and his friends trying to find out what exactly happened by listening to the narration of Alok, the suspected murderer, Rohit’s friend. Thereafter, the love story between Rohit and Aisha begins. It was a wonderful way to start the story as you would want to know happened that led to the current situation. The narration has a nice flow to it, and I didn’t know how time passed as I went through the pages. The love story is a typical romance that you would find in a majority of the Indian bestsellers, but in hindsight, it was needed to build up the emotions for the latter half of the book.

Then, the dreadful incident occurs which brings an interesting twist to the story. The story takes a darker turn, and even the prose, which is plain till now, turns philosophical and reflective. I really liked the maturity that the author has shown in that phase of the book and also in the epilogue and the author’s thoughts at the end. The end part that focuses on an important, prevalent social issue raised the level of the book a notch and made it totally deserving of the bestseller title.

The characterization is good, and I could feel for the characters and relate to their friendship, joys, and pain. The language is quite clean and colloquial and is perfectly suitable for commercial fiction but in my opinion, could have had more descriptions and a little more beauty in some places. The only thing I found strange was how Aisha’s thoughts are narrated by Alok. Rohit could have told Alok everything, even his thoughts, but I think it was impossible for even Rohit to know Aisha’s thoughts. The third person omniscient technique in which the narrator can show the thoughts of all the characters might have been a better alternative in this case. However, this is a very minor thing, and most readers would not even notice it.

Overall, ‘Until Love Sets Us Apart’ is a brilliant debut by a very talented author, and I’m sure that the author will be a superstar in the literary industry in the years to come.

The book started off really well and got me hooked immediately because of the events that happen in the first few chapters. I wasn't expecting a mystery arch in the book but I'm so glad it existed because it made the book stand out than other hardcore romance books we read.

The story revolves around Rohit, our main protagonist and his journey which consists of his college life and how he fell in love with our female lead, Aisha. Theirs was a love that was too good to be true. Along with his perfect relationship with the girl of his dreams, he had friends he could count on, an aspiring future with a carefree life. Everything seemed to be working out for the couple until one day everything goes downhill and changes their life forever. Especially Rohit's. He goes on a path where he loses his old self and becomes a completely different person, a person who thrives on anger and seeks revenge from the people who stripped him off of his happiness.

The narration is smooth and so is the writing style. Every character stands out and you can feel their pain, their suffering and you can relate to them because they're as real as you are. The journey they go through is something that can happen to anyone and it makes sense because the book is based on real incidents which really makes me want to give the author a round of applause.

The book is a perfect blend of mystery and romance and also gives you a reality check. It shows the harsh reality of how the society works and how it takes only a few minutes to ruin someone's life. It also gives you an insight on how human emotions work and how even the innocent people can be pushed to the dark side.

The graphic details of the brutality that occurs in some scenes actually shook me. I'd like to tell the readers that there are sensitive but crucial event that happens in the book. Just a heads up.

The climax, though predictable to some extent, still gets you because of the intense narration and the build up.

My only problem with the book is that I felt that the romance part was kind of dragging and cliché at times and I get that it was to make us understand the protagonist better and to provide an insight but I guess it would've worked the same nonetheless.

What makes it unique though is portrayal of how an immature college romance turns into intense love. How the opposite personalities of Aisha and Rohit rub off on each other and how they both mature as a person is beautifully described.

Like every other novel belonging to the romance genre, this book beautifully picturises all the emotions a juvenile young couple feels when they first fall in love, the hiccups that come their way and how they overcome those to ensure their love triumphs, and as their relationship progresses to the next level only to become stronger and more committed than before. But what is different about this book is that a lot of us would be able to resonate with the characters in the book and be able to relate to them.
The book has a lot of poems that I felt were malapropos and the tone of narration is quite juvenile. Despite the language used being raw and Bollywood-much, something a cynical romantic like me believes doesn’t exist, it elicited a sense of feeling in me. Like I knew Rohit and Aisha and lived their story or may be I wanted to have a story as happy and fulfilling as theirs. I am sure the book will strike the right chord with the intended audience.
While Rohit and Aisha believed and dreamt of a happily ever after, fate had other plans in store for them. An unfortunate incident turns their lives into pieces. The fingers that were intertwined into another were now dipped deep down in blood. The grief of separation, the silent mourning, the ire over injustice all lead to a doctor who was supposed to save lives turn into a cold blooded murderer.
When we hear of such barbaric acts committed upon mankind we no doubt sympathise with the victim, express grief over the incident but little do we know about the pain inflicted upon those around the victim. The family, the dear ones , the ones who die a million death everyday overshadowed with the feeling of guilt and repentance.
When you read the book, at some point, you would definitely feel Rohit’s loss, Aisha’s pain, Neha’s guilt and Alok’s helplessness. Love never set Rohit and Aisha apart, it only brought them a little more closer to merge into one soul.

Never been keen on reading Indian romances. But this one was an exception. After hearing so many good reviews about it and it being a different story than other clichèd romances,I had been so inquisitive in reading it. It has definitely not disappointed me. For me, this book will be in one of the best book's list. I have never read a book like this. It started with Friendship, Love, Fun and romance and ended with a traumatic incident. The author explained each and every incident so clearly and introduced to each character so perfectly that you will imagine yourself in that place. As a five persons story, author describes friendship and love life in detail with every character. The author narrates very well with Aisha and every character growing with story. The writing is flawless and story is perfect blend of love and seeking revenge.
The end of the story is sad but Aisha & Rohit love left a positive influence in everyone's life. The author tries to change in the society by this story.
