💫Death is not a solution because life has never been the problem. How do you propose to solve a problem that didn't exist, you fool?
💫 If you don't like the rain, rise above the clouds. Cursing the rain won't make it go away but it will surely make you wet.
💫 Don't continue selling your life and your soul to the highest bidder.

The story is a spiritual adventure and an encounter with the force that is in all of us. The story is of Arjun – a human being in distressed state of mind and is at the brink personal breakdown. His life changes forever when he meets with an accident.

An experience that leads him to find himself. It is when he comes across a sadhu who asks him to take a journey to Hemkund Sahib located in The Himalayas to unravel the Purple thread. Arjun isn’t aware that this journey would bring him w

Wow! What a book!

This is a book of wisdom. A book of self-realization. A book which will unleash your true self-The Calling.

The book has so much of wisdom that it really makes you to think deeply. Though the book is around 160 pages, it took me a long time to complete it coz there is so much of wisdom to digest. You will feel really enlighten after reading this book.

And though it comes under self-help book, it is totally different from the others.

This was my first book

It has been a surprising book to me.

Me and my sister started reading this book together and she loved it far much.

It was a surprise because when I began the book it started with a cliched story of a man at the brink of loosing out on his spousal relationship, job, and life at large. It is a much spoke about confusion to begin any book with. With patience and understanding the liking my sister shared for the book, I kept going with the journey.
The flow of the book that followed

Let me tell you something about this book before I proceed with my review. You would really find your calling, if you go past the first few pages of this book. You’d never really regret reading it till the end. It is a gem – almost a boon – to all those souls who are in desperate need of something motivational to read. But, if you are going to give this book a miss, either you must already be on the right path in your life or you’re just ignorant of something that holds the true power to unleash ...more

When the author asked me if I would review this book, I accepted, fully aware that it was a non fiction book. It could have been the title or the summary but something made me want to read the book. I now know, that it was my calling!

I have read books like these in the past, I won't deny, but only some have the ability to make a lasting impression. The Calling is one such book by Priya Kumar, who is a motivational speaker and has authored several books. The book is described as a spi

This is a very different book, a first of its kind, that I received for review along with a beautiful mug printed with the book cover and a hand written note by the author Priya Kumar.

The book dwells on finding the true purpose of one's life through a fictional story of Arjun who seems to be mired in various difficult situations in his everyday life. His married life is in shambles and on verge of break-up, his work doesn't excite or satisfy him....He is thoroughly confused why his l

Not Bad. But not a quick fix either.

If you are looking for answers to life questions … don’t expect to find the answers in there.
If you are looking for your own calling … don’t expect a road-map to find it in there.
If you are looking for a quick fix … well … don’t expect to find it anywhere !!

The book is like a good Management Consultant – asking the right questions to you so that you give the answers – and then he can present the best answer basis the answers you gave refined with his own e

There are some books which you can go back to again, from time to time. The Calling is one such book that makes you think, introspect and enlighten you in the process.

It is the story of Arjun who is dejected and unhappy in life because his personal and professional life is in a mess. He is on the brink of a divorce and feels that life has been cruel to him all along. An accident during a work trip makes him come across a Sadhu who saves his life. The sadhu

Sometimes we're mistaken about the source of our unhappiness. We walk around with a short fuse, ready to explode if anyone crosses our path. Then, when we do explode, we think it is the other person's fault. At other times we have frightening physical reactions and worry that something is wrong with our bodies. But we are not aware that a deeper feeling of not being able to stand ourselves causes the problem. Most of us have problems accepting ourselves. When we make peace with our consciences, ...more
