Millie’s Butterflies, by Dori Scarano, was heart-wrenching on the one hand, and uplifting on the other. Like Millie’s Butterflies, I am one of 3 sisters and we also lost our mother after a brief illness a few years ago. It’s as if I’d told the author my story - from when we all heard the devastating news of my mother’s illness, up to her passing and afterwards. Never judge a book by it's cover. With a ray of colorful characters, this book will give you all the feels. With the reality of someone leaving us, the pain before and after. This story tells how we are different in coping with a passing of a loved one. Also, how life moves on. I do hope this author writes more books. I can't wait to see what she will write next!

What a great book for a first time author!!! Dori has a talent for character development, and pulling the reader into the emotions of the family. I laughed, I cried, and I was right there with the sisters as they went through the ups and downs of life. Don't miss out on Millie's Butterflies!!!
