This story is all about the tease and slow build toward a delicious climax. Doyle's characters feel like genuine people existing in a world with the very real hardships that come with romance. Her protagonist Marny draws us in from the very first scene, and we are cheering for her to find healing and a better love than the abuse she left. The dialogue is effortless. Her descriptions are superb. A lovely read for a lazy afternoon, or an exciting indulgence before bed, whichever you prefer.

Dagny Doyle spends her days contemplating food, romance, and really great margaritas. She can often be found at the coffee shop writing. Although fantasy was her first commitment, romance has been her great love affair. She has a penchant for strong female characters, an economic style, and delicious contemporary romance.
