It is what it says

It has a lot of information about kid beginner chefs, but it's dry. My 8 year old son wouldn't read it. He likes the colorful title, but no interest in reading inside.

There are word games in it, but it's similar to the word puzzles given by his teachers in school. Ultimately, he gets bored with them. He likes cooking as an activity, to help in the kitchen, not learn it by text books.

I think the way it is presented would be better for 11-13 year olds.

there are always more to be read when it comes to a cookbook, but i appreciate the details, the photos (illustrations) and all that .. this is a good place to start. guess you could always color the illustrations yourself .. if you had a real hand held book ... so cool. i have this through my local library leaning program .. well done!! check it out. so many recipes to try. i will do that.

I have found better recipe books for kids. This one is very lacking.
