Thought I'd give this author another try after seeing so many of her works transformed into interesting tv series. Still disappointed - really didn't like the (lack of) depth in the work, the jumpiness and stiltedness of the dialogue, the awkward transitions between scenes, the lack of chapter breaks. Which is a shame, because the subject matter and plot points she chose were generally good - and I'm guessing that's the appeal as to why her books were optioned for tv, with a LOT of additional work put into the screenplay adaptation to make it work.
I'd recommend watching the TV series, pass on the book.
