Preparing for a road trip to Assateague Island. Now I've included Delaware in my travel plans, thanks to this guide.

Honestly, I wasn't too thrilled. As a Marylander, I didn't expect to find a ton of new spots but I was disappointed at a few glaring omissions (Bengie's drive in movie theater in Baltimore County, St. Mary's College of Maryland though Historic St. Mary's City is mentioned, and Port Deposit in Cecil County).

My biggest gripe with this book is that the Delaware section was a complete afterthought... the section of Sussex County (southernmost county) is laughable. What about Holt's Landing State Park? Delaware Seashore State Park? Dogfish Head Brewery? There are towns other than Lewes....try mentioning Millville, Roxana, Milford, Bridgeville, Seaford, Dewey, etc....

This is a great guidebook. I would recommend getting the latest edition, though. This was a few years out of date but still really helpful.
