Reminds me of the book 'Raccoons' by K. M. Koystal. Not entirely sure which age group this book is for when at the back of the book, the author is talking to the reader as if they're a parent. Otherwise, informative ... that's the best I've got. (Please note that I am an American who occasionally suffers from what he thinks is 'British Humor.')
One of the first great books I ever owned, along with “The World Beneath Your Feet”. Each for young readers about animals and their habitats and habits. The photos are full-color fantastic and fascinating. They are part of the “books for young explorers” series from the National Geographic Society.
