He’s the biggest JOCK in the NFL, and I just found myself in his bed!
Andrea: My editor sent me to ruin his career, but the BIG story wasn’t the only BIG thing to fall into my lap… I let myself make a BIG mistake, and now I’m totally screwed.
Tony: I knew the second she walked into my life that I was going to **** this girl, one way or the other. She thinks she’s going to dig up some dirt and come out on top, but I’d rather see her beneath me begging for more…
There’s only one problem…
I’m starting to like this dirty little princess.

I made a decision a little while ago not to waste my time reading a book that just didn't do for me. This is one of those books. I just found the characters to be too unbelievable to continue on.
A female reporter wants to be taken seriously by her peers, but almost instantly falls into bed with someone she is supposed to be interviewing. She didn't realize that one of her coworkers had the hots for her, and the whole thing with the publisher (that she never talked to) signing her without seeing a word of her work. She was not much of a reporter if she didn't know that wasn't plausible.
I am also supposed to believe that this womanizing jock thought that a woman was "special" just because she walked in on him in the buff? Come on that didn't make since and at that point in the story they didn't know enough about each other for him to think she was "special" for anything else.
Okay, I thought this book Big Jock was actually good, it wasn't really that short in my opinion felt like it was taking me forever to finish it. Felt like it was dragging like like I would never end. Lol, but the book wasn't a disappointed just Andera and Tony was having a lot of SEX in every scene of the book. I am like lord, then towards the end, she got pregnant. Go, figure she had twins, lol but hate the names of the babies though!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review....
WOW! Cold shower here I come! A really terrific story. The plot was a little different from other sports romance novels. The twist and turns of the plot was great. The storyline flowed smoothly as well. The sex scenes were hot, steamy and well described. Tony and Andrea had explosive chemistry between the two. I really would have liked to see Andrea's co-workers get what they really deserve; however, Andrea had some really great negotiation skills! The one thing I did find lacking in this story is "intelligent" conversations between Tony and Andrea. I would have liked a little more than football and sex discussions (though there's nothing wrong with those topics). This would have made them a little more relatable. Still a great read and I'm looking forward to reading more from Abbi Hemp.
I preferred other books by Abbi Hemp over this one, this one just seemed to not get to the point quickly ... a lot of being angry and one another and not getting to the ending. it does have a happy ending but took way too long to get there. why the higher 4 stars ... verses a 5 for me. Andrea is news reporter, wanna-be romance author, she deals with a few nut job co-workers. Tony and angry problem, major money gambler .... wow wee this was a interesting one indeed .. just wish it would have been a quicker to the point kind of read would have gotten to a 5 for me if that was so. ( :
Let's get this out if the way first... I received this book in return for an honest review.
What a great book about a bad boy football layer, tony, and a female sports journalist, Andrea. It chronics their may ups and downs during their relationship. It was a very fast read as I had read it in one day. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone and everyone. I actually took it to the beach with me!!!
Tony might look like and act like a big tough guy who takes no shit from anyone but that's all a facade
The moment Audrey stumbles into the locked and comes face to face with all that Tony is, his caught. While she fights for the interview to save her job, Tony fights the electricity that cackles between them.
Once will never be enough.
Now he just has to convince Audrey, he's worth the risk
Big Jock was a fun sports romance. It dealt with real life problems like gambling and anger management. Tony almost lost it all due to those two issues. It takes an ambitious reporter walking in on him to catch him off guard. She helps him while deal with her own drama at work. Love the end especially. I don't want to spoil it but it's really cute.
What a great story. I loved it. The bad boy and the quiet girl. Funny what a good girl can do to a bad boy. Lots of ups and downs. Really attention catching and fun to read. I call this a must read. I was given an ARC by ebook itch in exchange for an honest review.
This was a fun sports romance. The author does a good job taking you along with the main characters during this story. There are some twists and turns, lots of personal growth from the main characters and lots of steam. While their personal growth feels a bit rushed it is still a good story.
I thought it was a good book. I thought it lacked in some areas and could have been more elaborate.. I was however engrossed in it and love me a footballer and writer romance especially if you walk in on a NAKED FOOTBALLER!!!
Stupidest book I have read in a long time with dysfunctional characters. We have Andrea who seems to be a fiend for punishment. She is obviously a co-dependent woman who loves drama and abusive relationships. Then there's Tony, the extremely arrogant, no-brained, excessively anger ridden, gambling addicted jerk whose only saving grace it his physique. There's also Scott, porn addicted, misogynistic douche bag Finally, there's Kenneth, your average loser geek, IT tech and part-time psycho/stalker. I questioned many times why was Andrea always going back to Tony? He clearly was very immature and had serious anger and addiction and was a major a-hole? I asked why stay at a company where your self-respect is compromised every single day? Besides, it was clear Andrea had no real journalistic integrity if she let her subject sample the goods and ended up sleeping with him. Please explain why she kept turning to Kenneth when it was plain to see he had serious mental health issues? I mean no one could be that stupid. But Andrea was ... there was nothing likeable about these despicable characters. Each page got worse as it went along, especially with all of those editing errors. Stupid plot, stupid book
