Gross-out topics are always a favorite with the elementary school set, and this one uses real-life nature facts to lure reluctant readers and teach science, as well.

This book explains about insects and their poop, what they do with it is shocking.

This book is a great tool to use in science. It teaches students about insects and it teaches them about what insect use their poop for. This teaching tool could also be used to help children develop presentation topics. The diagrams and pictures included are a great way to show students what the words are saying. The books that talk about normal bodily functions such as poop show students that is it a normal thing

Gross and fascinating all at once, this book tells kids everything they ever wanted to know about dung beetles in vivid color. Photographs and fun facts on each page. Includes glossary, index and references to websites and books to learn more.

This books explains all about Dung Beetle's lives and how they're helpful to the environment. This book had real photographs in it, which gave it a very real and factual feel to it. This book was more in a story form rather than just listing facts. It explains why Dung Beetles are important. ...more
