Don't Tell
Simon found his mother stabbed to death when he was seven—and his father is in prison due to his evidence. But, supposing his seven-year-old eyes had been too unperceptive? Suppose his father was actually innocent, as he vehemently claims to be? The uncertainty has made Simon moody and violent, and it seems that no one can help. But then, he runs into Kirsty, who is prepared to be persistent and to ask the questions that matter. Is the real killer still out there? Are all the near-fatal accidents happening to Simon extreme attention seeking, or is the killer after him now? What is it that he knows?

The book is easy to read + very predictable which takes away the thrill of turning over the page. On the other side, the plot of the book is original.

This book can be read quickly.
The plot of this narrative seems a little hazy at first, but if you were good at deducting, I believe you could have easily made the connections. I simply wasn't paying attention since I was preoccupied with understanding the lines (you know, I'm still starting to read English novels), even though the clues were all around the story.
This story gave me another perspective on how life's circumstances affects our mental being, which might lead to illness.
I gave this book three stars because I had trouble connecting with the characters. Though I believe it to be predictable, the plot is good (if I were just giving attention, I might have predicted the real culprit). The dots, just like I previously said, were easy to connect.
Simon (the MC), bothered by his dreams (or memories), was determined to find out the real truth behind her mother’s death. People around him convinces him to leave the case as it is, but no. He’s not going to let it be without finding out the truth.
Moreover, the life and condition of Simon really is heartbreaking. Imagine trusting people who were covering something up from you for how many years, framing you up, and then telling you were just being paranoid or just seeking attention by self-harming. The good thing is there were people like Kirsty and Jaz (who were completely a stranger for him but became his friends after) who were willing to listen and help him.
Afterall, Simon is a survivor. He was tough; he went through all the sufferings yet he made it to the end.
It is a good filler if you have a reading slump since it is just short.

I spent
so
long trying to figure out the name/author of this book. I borrowed it from my library and enjoyed it, and then about a year or so later the story kept popping into my head but I couldn't remember anything but. Drove me crazy! I spent so long in the library a few weeks ago with my friend looking through the books in the section I always take my books from, both of us just reading the blurbs so that I could finally find my mystery book.
And then I found it and I'm so glad I did! It's a nice read and worth the hassle. Can definitely see myself reading this again some day!

I found this book at my parent’s house while on holiday without a book to read as I finished Big Little Lies sooner than I thought I would. I must have purchased ‘Don’t Tell’ when I was still in high school so very much a teen fiction with quite a predictable story line and stereotypical characters. Easy to read though. Good time filler if you have nothing else to read.

For this book, I was not planning to read this. But the title makes me interested. From this, I realized that the Book cover and title are very valuable for readers to make interested. In this book, the main character Simon is bothered by his dreams or memories that was determined to find out the real truth behind her mother's death. Simon found his mother stabbed to death when he was 7 years and his father is in prison due to his evidence, People around him convince him to leave the case as it is but NO. He's not going to let it be without finding out the truth. Moreover, their life and condition of Simon really have him heartbreaking knowing the truth. His book has made Simon moody and a little violent and it seems that no one can help. But he runs into Kirst, who is prepared to be president and to ask the question that matters. I personally think this book is really easy to read and it took me only a few weeks to read ( I read during class + spring break), which takes away the thrill of turning over the page. On the other hand, this book is originally published by the author Sandra Glover. I will recommend this book to anyone who is interested in psychological fiction and mystery.

Wow, didn't see the ending coming! Such a good book! Wanted to complete this and thought about it all day at work! The pace was very fast and I think it was the perfect short story! Really got my heart going come the end! The very end was rounded off... Pleasantly... But I think it was okay because of Simons state! Thoroughly enjoyed it!

One of the first few books I read during secondary school and I still remember it now. Easy read.
