I enjoyed reading this fantasy about a magical cat and a village of little fairies who are getting flooded out of their homes. Reading level would be best for middle-grade as there is a lot to keep track of, with numerous characters and detailed adventures.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Topaz & The Green Fairies with my young niece. She has a cat and insisted on renaming him Topaz! From an adult perspective, the story is written in lovely prose which reminds me of the books I read when I was younger. There's a certain quality to the authors writing which is often missing these days along with a depth of imagination which is altogether quite wonderful. An absolutely charming book. ...more

The continuing saga of Topaz and his pals is a delightful book for young teens. It has everything a kid could want: Magical animals that talk, adventure, suspense, and action!
I thoroughly enjoyed this light and easy read, and recommend it for anyone with kids, looking for books that are appropriate to read, yet entertaining.

This is such a beautifully done book. It's an easy read yet I enjoyed every moment of this. Could imagine reading this once a year along with my favorite cup of tea in front of a warm fireplace with a kitty in my lap.

Topaz and the Green Fairies is book three in the ‘Topaz the Conjure Cat’ series written by the exceptional and talented author Pat Frayne and wow what a stellar third book! Topaz and the Green Fairies is a book I was keen to read ever since discovering it because I always love to find adorable, heart-warming and inspiring adventure/fantasy stories for my children to read so when I discovered Topaz and the Green Fairies I thought ‘is this finally the perfect book?!’. This is the first of Pat Frayne's books I have read, but it will definitely not be the last. Her cast of characters - Topaz, Otis, Daisy, Bozel - came to life through her rich descriptions and true-to-life observations, and I found myself becoming invested in each of these characters. The further I read into the book, the more difficulty I had in putting it down. Fantasy is such fun to read, and Ms Frayne displays a wonderful grasp of what makes it so enchanting. I am truly looking forward to th ...more

What a sweet book. It is a book that I will pass to my grandsons when they get a little older. I loved the way all these different animals and fairies came together to help each other out. Such a well written story. I enjoyed it very much.
