I think this was my most favorite girlhood journeys book yet. And it's fitting since I've finally finished the whole collection. The Shannon series taught me the most overall about a time and place I didn't know much about but this book was the best of all. Highly recommended for girls 8 and up like the American girl series books or anyone interested in learning a bit of history from some easy reading books.
