I really enjoyed this one! It's the second book in the Revenge Series, but stands well on its own.
Jonathan Spencer has never been the same after loosing the love of his life in the streets of Paris. Heartbroken and lost, he has spent the last three years as a shadow of his former self. Tired of his well-meaning friends, he decides to visit his old mentor and try to regroup. Once he arrives he's thrown into an old mystery that may end up changing his life forever.
Since this is a mystery and the second book in the series, I don't want to give too much away. I thought it was well written, had a nice flow. Characters were likable and well developed. I did guess the "bad guy" early on, but was still curious how everything would play out and didn't feel like that was a distraction from the enjoyment of the story. I also enjoyed getting a peek at who I assume the next book will be about, I think that'll be a fun one as well.
Overall, this was an enjoyable regency mystery and one I'd easily recommend.
