A cute, humorous chick-lit read that I grew to enjoy more and more over time.

There is a certain style that I associate with chick-lit books, and I bet many of you know what I mean. Often, I see sort of over-the-top antics and a female MC who stumbles time and time again in her quest to rediscover herself, her female friendships, and find love. Exhibit A: Bridget Jones's Diary. This book is in that style, but I was surprised to find a little more substance buried underneath.

I'm not really a chic

4.5 stars easily!! (.5 off because I wanted more from the ending)

I have found a new go-to author to add to my collection for some good romantic comedy and her name is Lucy Woodhull! She completely nailed this story and I loved it!

Dag is in her 20s and has spent her whole life trying to please everyone but herself. That is until her boss fires her for not sleeping with him to get that promotion. Then her cheating boyfriend dumps her and tells her she's boring and no one else will want or love

Let me start with the reason why I chose to read this book – the title! That alone lured me in. To be able to answer the question what are you reading with 667 Ways to F*ck Up My Life. Yes, I wanted the bragging rights to have that title under my belt. Little did I know I was going to be screaming from the rooftops this is a must read book.

Responsible, honest to a fault, hard-working, Dag has spent her entire life trying to be perfect. Then in one day, everything came crashing down. She loses he

Yash, cosita bien hecha, me encantó. No hablaré de él

This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. This was such a great read and full of surprises. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Oh, what I wouldn't give to throw a middle finger to the world and embrace my inner crazy!!

Dagmar Kostopoulos has always been the good girl, but that shit is in the past. After she's fired for not blowing her boss and her boyfriend decides to move to LA without her, Dag decides to do things a little different. Day drinking, dirty sex, a barista job instead of a career in the publishing industry…and a blog to spill all the dishy deets. With the help of BFF Mel, Dag is all in!

I've come to the conclusion that all the men in Dagmar's life just plain suck. With a pretentious, self-absorbed boyfriend, a POS boss who only thinks with his dick, and an old-fashioned father who aggressively plays favorites with his daughters; it's no wonder Dag goes off the deep end.

After trying so hard to be "perfect" with less than perfect results, Dagmar decides she's had enough. She's going to be the f*ck up that her family claims she is...and she's not going to GAF. With the help of he

I rarely choose a typical chick-lit with a woman chasing a man as my read. I prefer to watch romantic comedies, not read them. But the blurb said that this is a great book for fans of Broad City and Bridget Jones, so I decided to give it a try. And I stand with my initial preferences - I'd rather watch a 1.5h movie with the same plot than read the book. But I still quite enjoyed reading the book, so I gave it three stars - it's not bad, and it's not great, and I'll probably forget all about it s ...more

Note: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

OK, so you know those books where you look at the title and cover and go, "I have got to read this," and then you get your hands on a copy and it turns out to be a total dud in a pretty package?

This is DEFINITELY NOT one of those.

Dagmar-Giselle is hilarious. Like, "how do you come UP with this stuff?" hilarious. The poor girl had a really, REALLY bad day, but somehow she managed not to lose her sense of humor, which is a

ARC provided via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

First off I have to say that the lead character's name is unusual and fits her perfectly...Dagmar. Dagmar is a strong and balls to the wall type of woman, and you love her for it. She still shows her sensitive side and all her womanly charm but she is one woman who learns to not care what everyone else thinks.

This book is hilarious, fun, and a joy to read. Even though is it 667 ways to f*uck up my life, it still teaches you a thing or

Sometimes the only way to get over a bad day or few days or perhaps a year or so is to start over by reinventing you. Dag/ Giselle did just that. Her father and twin sister went to Hawaii didn’t invite her. She lost her job because she wouldn’t sleep with the boss. Her boyfriend decides to cheat on her and that is the beginning. So instead of feeling bad she takes things into her own hands controlling her own life for a change. Do things for her and

Un libro que me hizo reflexionar mucho de porqué las mujeres aguantamos mucho solo por temor a no ser del agrado de nuestra familia o de nuestra pareja me gusto muchísimo por eso perdono la mentira a Yash

You've seen stories like this before. The girl, the boy, the tense conflict that threatens their relationship before things fall into place and they get their happy ending. However! Just because you've seen a story done before doesn't mean the telling can't be original and funny and enjoyable, and that's exactly what this book is. Dagmar is a frustratingly straight-edge woman in a world where "nice girls finish last" and she's fed up. After one particularly bad day, she says to hell with it all, ...more

I LOVE this book! I love everything about it. From the first word to the last, I was hooked. I love the concept, the characters, the story, the comedy, and how unbelievably believable it is! I've never related to a book so much before. It's all so incredibly true. A reader can't help but laugh out loud at Dag's adventures, all while drawing comparisons and remembering similar situations in their own life. Everyone should have a friend as loyal as Mel and at least one moment of fierce bravery as ...more

I’m ordering the hardcopy of this book right now and it will be displayed next to my favorite romantic comedies; Wallbanger, The Virgin Romance Novelist, Something Borrowed and Bridget Jones Diary.

Seriously I couldn’t put this book down, I laughed…cringed….and held my breath all the while wondering what was in store for Dagmar, Mel and the unexpecting fools who dare cross them. Many of their antics reminded me of myself and my girlfriends, minus the bird crapping on the head and book deal……but t

WOWZA!!!! I literally could not put this book down for anything! This is the first book I've read of Lucy Woodhull and I am thoroughly impressed. I laughed, I cringed, I cried, I laughed even more, and I felt empowered. This is definitely a book I think all women should read, it had so many great lessons in it that I think everyone should instill. One of the best RomCom books I have read this year. This book is so funny I laugh till my sides hurt.

Dag decides after she losing her job because she won't sleep with her boss and her boyfriend tell her he is moving away without her that her good girl ways have gotten her nowhere and she will see if Giselle her alter ego can get her places she has never been before. Dag and her friend Mel have one misadventure after another.

I love this kind of fun and flirty rom-com chick-lit. Yep, I'm throwing those labels around and I'm happy about it. A book can be a chick-lit rom-com and still be really good, and 667 Ways is a case in point. It made me laugh, cry and everything in between. It has completely loveable characters, a slightly predictable storyline, but enough surprises along the way to keep it fresh and fun. What I loved most though was the lesson Dagmar teaches us - that it's okay to fuck up. That women shouldn't ...more

I was so looking to this book because Lucy Woodhull is a master at establishing lovable characters and then taking them on the ride of their life. 667 Ways is an absolute delight! By the end of the first chapter, it felt like I’d known Dag forever and I was cheering her on as she embarked on her quest to fuck up spectacularly. While there is a love story, the focus is on Dag and her fuck ups, which make for some laugh out loud moments. I loved the focus on women and friendship and forging one’s ...more
