When not working on a new book, Ron likes to teach tricks to his dog Pal, play poker with friends, travel, and read thrilling mystery books.
This is a good book its amazing, I won,t spoiler but I will give some details of the book two kids are trying to find who is listening to there talks k.c mom is getting married to the president but someone is trying to ruin the honeymoon also this a great book I don,t what happens at the end because no haven't finished it butt I guess k.c and marshall solved the case at the end. I think they should make a other book about a spy in the white house . Also tell me what tell me what you guys think that's it you guys read it it's to die for I mean like it amazing
You guys.just read it it's that good I think it might be a good book to read for family members or your kids either way it's still a good book to read to your kids or family members knuckle you guys read it and enjoy it :) 😊😊😊😊
As an adult reading this book with my two kids, I have to chuckle at the complete lack of security the White House has in this book as KC and Marshall wander around it doing their sleuth work. Who needs the FBI when you have two kids to solve mysteries for the president? My kids enjoyed being able to solve the mystery before KC and Marshall did in the book. We were all shocked that there was absolutely no consequences for the villian, so my six year old insisted that I take a star off for this reason. I will probably read more books of the series because it's a fun way to introduce my kids to places in Washington DC plus I love how Ron Roy is forward thinking and has a woman Vice President in the White House. That's pretty amazing considering the book was published in 2004.
Read with my kindergarten, 2nd, and 3rd grade daughters at bedtime. They loved it. The storyline, the characters, and the thought processes (their attempts to use and gain knowledge throughout critically thinking out the problem) were excellent. (Can you tell I'm taking a 'Foundations of Literature' course for my reading endorsement?). Only issue with this book: we loved it so much we had a hard time settling down for bed/sleeping because they'd get so excited, trying to solve the mystery, and they were never satisfied with read 'just one more chapter'. ;) We cannot wait for our next Capitol Mystery story!
KC and Marshall are thrown into another mystery when they find out that news of KC's and the president's wedding plans have made into a gossip column. They search to find the spy in the White House, which has been bugged. Is it Arnold the security guard? Or the Vice President? KC and Marshall have a plan to set the spy up.

So…. I read this book because my brother read it for a book report, and dared me to read it. It took me 46 minutes, and I surprisingly really enjoyed it! The storyline was cute, and the ending was good, but a little predictable. The setting was a really cool idea too! I overall enjoyed it!
a cute story about wedding secrets being leaked. it lacks a sense of realism and i think sets kids up to believe in foolish possibilities, but fun nonetheless. many potential criminals introduced to keep you guessing.
The parents got married!!! I wish I had KC’s freedom growing up but I also get scared if my kids go outside without telling me where they are going so… _(:3 」∠)_
In this book a little girls mom marries the president. Somehow all of the details of the wedding gets leaked to the press. So those young girl and her friend decide to go on an adventure to find who is leaking the information. This book is great for both mystery and History.
KC wants her mother's wedding to be perfect and private. But a spy is stealing the information about the President's wedding. So they bust Darla Darling for using a bug to listen to the wedding plans. Then they have the wedding!

I like the first scene. KC(girl) and Marshall(boy) practicef for her mom's wedding. KC's mom were geting married to the President of the United States. They thought "This is a white House Wedding. Everything has to be perfect. The whole world will be watching on TV!" I think that is really pretty and they are cute.
I have not finish reading thid book yet, but I know this book gonna be interesting. I already enjoy reading this book. KC and Marshall are very cute. I like them, because they try to solve any problems by theirselves.
-------------------------------------------------------------------- RANDOM HOUSE YL:3.5 A Spy in the White House by Ron Roy
6/2 60minutes Girl, Boy, Spy, White House, Wedding, Love, Pure
I like the last scene, too. KC(girl)'s mom got married to the President of the United States. During the wedding party, KC and Marshall(boy) worked hard for the wedding. At the dance time, "KC wallked up to Marshall. "Do you want to dance?" she asked. Marshall set his punch cup on a table. He looked into KC's big green eyes. Then, he ran out of the rose garden as fast as hid legs would carry him." I think Marshall likes KC!!
The are many series about KC and Marshall. I would like to read other ones.
With A Spy in the White House, the Capital Mysteries series hasn't quite established itself yet, but it's getting there. In the story, KC Corcoran, the soon-to-be First Daughter, and her friend Marshall are getting ready for the president's wedding when they realize there's a spy releasing secret wedding details to the press.
With the plot keeping KC and Marshall around the White House, there isn't much in the way of introducing the capital to children, but it's a solid, child-level mystery; Ron Roy's back into the swing of things, and I'm very relieved to say goodbye to the out-of-place science fiction (the remnants of which have mysteriously disappeared to never be discussed again).
I don't love this series the way I loved the A to Z Mysteries series, but Capital Mysteries is coming into its own with steady improvement. Here's hoping Ron Roy keeps it up!
This looks like it is a great series in size and content to follow The Magic Tree House Books. I love the illustrations and the map of Washington, D.C. in the front cover. We'll have to follow the reading of this group up with a trip in to see the actual places that we have read about! Peter likes the mysteries and problem solving...Ron Roy's A to Z mysteries are also fun ones for early chapter readers.
KC's mom is getting ready to marry the president and they find out a spy is getting all the wedding secrets. Then giving them to a reporter, or is the reporter a spy? When the presidents' cat is trying to get a mouse magnet, it sticks to his collar. KC finds out that it is a bug. A bug is a little device used to hear from a far distance. They set a bait and find out that the reporter is the spy. She is taken to trial and to the FBI.
The book, "A Spy In The White House is about KC Corcoran and Marshall Lee KCs mom married president Thornthon So now they are leaving in the white house Marshall KCs best friend and they have a mysterie when a reporter keeps finding out things about the wedding. How she managed to do was by planting a chip in the cats collar. I really liked this book and I was really ecxited when I got it cause since forever Id been wanting to read it.
#4 in the Capital Mysteries series, KC's mom is preparing to marry President Thornton and she wants everything to be perfect. Unfortunately, there appears to be a spy in the white house because secrets about the big event keep getting leaked to the press. To save the day, KC and her friend, Marshall have to discover who the spy is.
We are getting into the Capital Mysteries series. It's not a very believable group of stories, but each one is entertaining and they are fast reads. We prefer the A to Z Mysteries, but as we are moving to the DC area this summer, I hope these books get our girls more excited for the move.
