Poetic, deep, thought provoking. falling in love is never easy, but when you fall as hard as Islam did it'll drive you crazy. Being overwhelmed with an emotion that is foreign to him, Islam seems to lose grip with his reality.

Complicated! A Deliciously complicated piece of work. T.P. Carter has written a well thought of character by the name of Islam with no ties to the religion. The author makes this character so intricate that I cant believe a woman wrote him to the extent that she did. Islam is a British artist. The character is so well developed that in the beginning I had not a clue what Islam was saying because the dialect is foreign to me "mates","the tube", "bollocks", "nutters", "trousers", "blokes" and of course "bloody" vocabulary :) Most of the story is introspective and the narrative point of view of the character Islam. The thing that i loved is I traveled, I smelled and tasted art through this novel. And Islam's character was quiet and constantly trying to shake his trauma of his childhood. He falls in love with a Art dealer's wife and feels an immense connection with this lady. This book surpassed awesome with the written visuals and well defined characters in gave me roots in the book. The ending was a strange not bad but its ending made me go "yeah right". But even with the surprise ending it was well written. I hate that the author dont anythings else for me to read.

This is a sexually explicit story. A bit too much at times. The tale is of love or lust depending on the page and everything seems relatively normal though a tad far fetched. The wheels eventually come off the cart and leave the reader wondering what is going on. The end resolution is so abrupt and absurd that its almost like the author had something urgent to attend to and wanted to end the story as quickly as possible. I would recommend this book to those who enjoy romance novels and are looking for a light read with a heavy twist.

This book wasn't one that kept me super intrigued. It took me longer that expected to finish it because I wasn't for lack of better word "obsessed" with it like I get with most books. I loved the artist care-free lifestyle the book started out to be. Even when Islam met Adrianne the story got hot and heated for a while which was interesting. But after that, it just got repetitive and annoying almost. Then the end was just whack. The whole story was just some simulation. I guess I just didn't connect well with whatever the author was trying to do there.
