A collection of stories from both Mexican and Anglo writers evokes the tensions and joys of Mexican American life from the barrios of East L.A. to the bordertowns on both sides of the Rio Grande
I find short stories frustrating for the most part. If I like a story, it always ends too soon. The others never really get a chance to engage the reader. This collection is comprised of stories about the Mexican-American experience. There are a few authors from which I wouldn't mind reading more.
