Only a Scot can steal her heart.
There's nothing ladylike about Katherine Killin. She's a spitfire who cannot be tamed. Bedding the Highlander was a fun, little highlander read, perfect for when you have a couple hours to kill and you want something easy and enjoyable.

I haven't read a ton of highlander romances, but I've recently read and loved Never Seduce a Scot so I figured I'd try this one.

Actually, the two books start very similarly. Maybe all highlander books start with a marriage between warring clans, for all I know? However, the two books quickly diverged, and I grew immersed in this one.

A fun, cute quickie!! Lol

You can't go wring with a book by Sabrina York and this Bookshots novella is a delight. I listened to the audio which was very nicely narrated Euan Morton. This book is action packed and full of steam as sworn enemies Katherine and Ben find love in medieval Scotland.
**A bit about... "BookShots Flames,
Original romances presented by JAMES PATTERSON. Novels you can devour in a few hours. Impossible to stop reading."**

Bedding the Highlander by Sabrina York with forward by James Patterson is a deliciously wicked Medieval Scottish Romance. Set against the backdrop of the Scottish Highlands.

Quick read, only approximately 160 pages, but WOW. Easy to read with snarky characters, witty diagolue, steamy romance, a bit of danger and suspense, plus an air of mystery

Recommends it for: all historical romance readers
Bedding the Highlander is a Book Shots Flames brand. This is a selection of stories that are well written with a sizzling romantic theme to their genre, by James Patterson. They are priced at under $5.00 US and have approximately only 150 pages. Designed to be read in an evening or at work on lunch hours, etc. Interesting idea, but I, personally, love a good long well written story. But then, I’m retired and have lots of time to read.
Now to this captivating story.
The story is about rival clans

Sabrina York never disappoints and has delivered another great story.

This book is part of Jim Patterson's Bookshots collection - it is shorter than a traditional novel but longer than a novella. I was able to read this book in about an hour and a half.

Katherine Killin aka Kate has been ordered to wed Ben Rannoch by the Duke of Glencoe - to end the feud between their families. Kirk Rannoch has been sent

Fun fast paced story. So endearing. The struggles Kate goes through to find herself and find love is amazing.
Oh WHEN will these men learn to Never Send a Brother to fetch a bride?

A long history of feuding between the KIllans and the Rannochs, much of it fueled by the Killans and their refusal to parlay, behave and play nicely. But, the Duke of Glencoe has had enough of it all, and declares that Kate, daughter of the Killan clan laird and Ben, clan laird of the Rannochs are to wed. He thinks (and all the players believe) that this is a hopeful wish, and one not meant to come true because of the

This is a full length story packed into 119 pages. It takes a fabulous author to do this well. The story didn't feel rushed although the events happened quickly. This short of a story usually isn't my favorite but Sabrina wrote a fabulous love story that is quite believable and made me want to live with these people. Kate is so fierce and quite the warrior woman. But then she has to be to survive in her father's male household where women are used and treated like a possession. Kirk is the ...more

I'm loving these Bookshots and this one from Sabrina York didn't disappoint. I've read several of her other books and enjoyed them all; Bedding the Highlander was no different. I love a full length novel but sometimes I really enjoy a quick read. Unfortunately, many novellas don't accomplish what a full length novel does. However, that is not the case with this steamy romance.

The Killins and Rannochs are rival clans but an order from the Duke of Glencoe forces their clans to unite through

This is the first time I have tried any of the BookShots novellas, and I can definitely see their value when you want something super quick that you can finish over a lunch break or waiting on an oil change, etc. Bookshots are essentially novellas of every sort (around 150 pages), and the Flames imprint focuses on romance stories, both contemporary and historical. I like this idea, and I think I will check out more of them in the future, although I wish that they were available on Kindle

This was actually enjoyable...except for the cheesy title.
I like anything historical (pre WW1) and Scottish so this was a quick nice read with some action and fighting!

Not a ton of time to write but this was only ok. Just missed the mark. Good bones to the story but never really drew me in.

Bedding the Highlander is a relatively short story that is packed full of action, drama, and those oh so steamy scenes are Her Royal Hotness does with flare that is all her own. I started this book directly after finishing another story. I had intentions of just reading a few pages to meet the characters before getting out of my nice hot bath. Well that didn't happened. Sabrina York grabbed my attention on the first page and I kept reading all the way to the end. I could not put this book down. ...more

This book is everything it claims to be. It can be read in a few hours (it took me just over an hour but I’m a fast reader), has a steamy romance and is impossible to put down.

Kate and Kirk’s romance is one of mistaken identity, but it also covers the romance tropes of enemies to lovers and a kidnapped heroine. I loved getting quickly immersed in this story with just enough detail to pull me along. Never did I feel slighted as a reader due to the short length of this book, but it did feel like a

This was a great book that I really enjoyed reading. "Ann" is a feisty female who keeps Kirk on his toes. This book is funny, a little steamy, and a sweet love story. I truly had so much fun reading this book.
Can't imagine, but would have loved to have seen when Kirk realized he had deflowered his brother bride.
I voluntarily read this arc and this is my honest review

Sent to fetch his brother's betrothed, Kirk never imagined he would meet that woman that would make him want to settle down. But when he finds out that the woman he's fallen for is not the maid of his brother's betrothed, but the woman herself, what will he do.

This was a great, quick read! I really liked Kirk and could see how Katherine fell for him so quickly. Her family was horrible to her, so it was nice to see her fine someone that would be so good to her. Definitely another great one from

I love Sabrina York and while this is a short book I really enjoyed it. This is the story of Katherine Killin and Ben Rannoch who is her dad enemy. But Katherine falls for Kirk Rannoch Ben's brother, so what will happen will honor or love win. I can't wait for the next book.

Bedding the Highlander is another fabulous Highlander book by Sabrina York. Ms York is guilty of once again hijacking my kindle and my attention. Kirk and Kate's story is a fast paced tale filled with action, suspense, humor and a bit of spice. The characters in this book are outstanding, the dialog delightful. When all this comes together into a well-written book, it makes this story one you won't want to miss. This is a fairly short read, a perfect choice for those with limited time for ...more

This was my first Bookshot and I think they definitely have value for someone that wants a quick story. They are essentially short stories marketed in an appealing way. This one was obviously a romance and it was cute.

Bedding the Highlander by Sabrina York was a delightful romance with moments of quirky humor, sadness, boldness and sexy. Overall a very good short novella. Read in just a couple of hours. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for a honest review.

Bedding the Highlander is the perfect book to read for an action-packed historical romance! There was never a lull and the characters swept me up as part of the story. I was full of emotion of humor, steamy romance and suspense. I am never disappointed with this author!

I absolutely adore this author, the Bookshots short story thing is new to me. I think it's great to get a shorter book from an author you love, a story you can read in just a few hours, under 2 hours for me.
I love Scots (and kilts!) so when I saw the title I knew I had to read this one asap.
Kirk & Katherine's story is sexy with a little snark. She's not quite the lady he thought she was, quick witted and sharp of tongue I quickly came to adore her.
And Kirk was amazing, showing her the

Kate is good on Kirk's ego, “nae. You are… large.” Her gaze flicked over him and settled just below his waist, leaving no doubt as to her meaning. Or her interest." Kirk is easily offended, "he reared back. His nostrils flared. “I am bluidy civilized,” he roared." I thought this was a fun book to read all the characters had great personalities. I really didn't want thr story to end.

Bedding the Highlander by Sabrina York is part of James Patterson's BookShots Flames collection. If I'm not mistaken, this is the first historical in the Flames line. I had hoped that this would be a quick and fun read, but unfortunately I found it boring and I struggled to finish it.

Following a declared truce between rival Highland clans, Katherine Killin's father has arranged for her to marry Ben Rannoch. Ben's brother, Kirk, and his fellow clansman have been tasked with retrieving Katherine

2.5 Stars.

I read this on a lark when I saw James Patterson's name attached. Surely he wasn't sponsoring smutty romance novels now... and yet, here we were.

And ah, Insta-Love was here as well. I'm never going to be able to enjoy it; I don't know why I try. Insta-lust, I get. Insta-attraction, as well. But insta-love is just too hard a concept for me to grasp. Maybe that's a personality fault of mine.

Still, I stuck 'round until the end, especially considering I knew it wouldn't take so long. I
