In Isshiki Airi, the author made a deliberate effort to give Miyuki a worthy rival. If you have read the main story in The Irregular at Magic High School, you would know how Miyuki fared in the Nine School Competition. However, given the development Airi has in this spinoff series, one would wonder if she was integrated into the main series in the future.

I adore this cover - and the Nine School Competition. The seriousness of the battles + the humor of the girls mooning over Tatsuya when he only has eyes for Miyuki (I admit that I do like them as a couple - apologies to certain people who DO NOT APPROVE for obvious reasons) + what is UP with those stories in the back? Are manga producers just obsessed with boobs or what? Secret news, indeed.
The family and social issues in this manga just get more intense with each volume . . .
