For Feng Shui followers or anyone looking for a more enlightened eating experience, Feng Shui Kitchen outlines all the essentials of turning a kitchen into a beautiful sanctuary of healing and harmony. For the first time in one volume, here are invaluable techniques on kitchen arrangement, planning and preparing meals, eating in accordance with the seasons, and many more basic principles of the Feng Shui way of life. Exquisite four-color artwork and photography, along with easy-to-follow text, allows readers to turn the eating experience from one of simple nourishment to divine healing.
This was interesting. Instead of just talking out my ass about Feng Shui, I feel like I’ve learned some solid principles. Certainly enough to annoy others . . . “See, man, the problem is you have no tortoise, and that door is blocking your wind”
Has been in my cookbook stack unread forever. Felt a bit like a high school learning manuel; just without a questions at the end of each section. Not only a primer for Feng Shui, but a mini-history, and solid instruction on Chinese cooking tools. Only a quarter is recipes, but looks to be a killer Hot & Sour Soup one
In the midst of a kitchen remodel, I found this book. It is interesting in that I have always felt comfortable in my kitchen, with the stove at the center of one wall, and a sink in the left side counter, and refrigerator on my right. Because my kitchen opens into the family room, I could not relocate appliances, but I appreciate the insights I got from this book, including confirmation of my decision to add a door separating the family room from the front door. The next time I am visiting someone whose kitchen feels comfortable/uncomfortable I will have a deeper understanding of the issues that make me feel that way.
