First, let me state two things:
1) I was gifted with a free copy of the book in return for an honest review, and
2) I correspond with Barbara Strickland about writing and self-publishing; and with Kay Want Cheung on occasion, too.
But we are all of the firm opinion that honest reviews are more important to both authors and readers than uncritical reviews.
A further caveat: I prefer to read novels over short stories. So I'm a tough audience, and perhaps not representative of the target audience, so p
