I had no idea there was so much to consider for turning your home into a place that attracts good luck, prosperity and peace. This short book seemed to provide a crash course in the basics and for that it was educational.

However, in many cases, when it came to providing information on the reasons for beliefs, there were a lack of explanation. I definitely would say you’d have to consult a different resource for more information.

The author has stated that with feng shui there is a remedy for just about everything so there would be a lot of information not included in this book.

I enjoyed that there were many summaries through out the book so that people can have all info at a glance.

Szczerze mówiąc, spodziewałam się czegoś innego. Czegoś, co będzie czytało się lekko i przyjemnie. Czegoś, co zarazem będzie wymagało ode mnie pewnego zaangażowania. Może czegoś zawierającego nieco bardziej praktyczne podejście do feng shui? Może większej liczby przykładów? Sama nie wiem jak to określić. Jest to na pewno poradnik pozwalający na poszerzenie wiedzy odnośnie tej chińskiej sztuki aranżacji wnętrz. Są fragmenty o historii, o harmonii, o indywidualnym podejściu do tego tematu. Część informacji zapisałam, a część było niestety trudnych do zrozumienia, dlatego wrócę do nich dopiero za jakiś czas. Na pewno sięgnę także po inne pozycje z tego zakresu, aby uzupełnić swoją wiedzę.

Libro entretenido para aprender más y saber más sobre el feng shui. Tiene ejemplos muy didácticos y es fácil de entender la mayoría de su contenido.

No obstante, encontré todo demasiado simplificado. Falta más desarrollo en el concepto de lo que verdaderamente significa Feng shui y cómo aplicarlo con efectividad.

True to form, Richard Webster has taken a topic of which I am familiar, and found so many books simply repeat the same pabulum, he manages to bring in new information that is spectacular and makes the system much more personal.
He does indeed cover the basics that most are familiar with the compass school's adaptation of the magic square over-laid on the residence. He explores what one's personal trigram is, how it is generated and which elements and directions are best for each. An examination of each area provides solid details. He offers examples that make this much easier to comprehend and utilize. Also, appendixes for a handy look-up one one's Lunar Calendar zodiac, and the trigrams by year.

Este autor ha escrito muchos, pero muchos libros sobre feng shui y otras " filosofías " tanto orientales como occidentales, en su prólogo escribe el cómo se inició en este rollo del feng shui, lo cual ocurrió a través de las matemáticas (esa parte sí me gustó, le da su valor al estudio de las matemáticas). Y eso esría un buen punto de partida para leer y entender el feng shui, pero, oh, luego se va por otro camino, que ya no me gustó, y es el de simplificar demasiado el método de las orientaciones, darles los nombres de "casas" del "dinero" "la pareja", "los hijos", etc. Aunque esta forma de ver las orientaciones de los diferentes espacios en las viviendas no es cien por ciento erróneo, está demasiado simplificado y no se explica de dónde salieron esos conceptos. Lo recomiendo solo para los que quieren saber de qué se trata más o menos el feng shui, no para aprender algo serio.

A good, simple overview of various feng shui methods and how to apply them to an apartment. Nice section on what to look for in an apartment building itself.

Minimal on actual cures, though.
