What a beautiful and heartwarming read Her Hopes and Dreams turned out to be.
I really enjoyed watching Carrie and Noah's relationship develop.
I was touched with their story and I found myself reading it late into the night as I didn't want to put down.

Carrie survived a relationship with a violent and abusive husband. She lives a simple life in a single-wide trailer on a small parcel of land she was able to buy. She has her job working for a local construction company, a few close friends and her daughter. She doesn't need or want anything more.

Noah survived the violence of war. His wounds are in his mind. In his memories of war. He suffers from anxiety, panic attacks, struggles with crowds and sleep. He has moved into the ramshackle farmhous

Terri Osburn’s Ardent Springs series has covered some difficult subjects in a light contemporary format; however she goes just a little bit darker in the latest release, Her Hopes and Dreams. Spousal abuse, PTSD and even the challenges of single-parenting push the storyline into some less romantic places; but even so this love story of second chances is full of charm.

The book begins with an awkward reunion between new neighbors Carrie Farmer and Noah Winchester. Noah remembers Carrie as a schemi

Sweet small town romance between a military veteran with PTSD and a once abused widowed mother of a pre-toddler.

When Carrie met Noah they did not hit off and his gruff very rude comments were not appreciated by her. When he sees her again in the office where he will interview for a job things do not improve. They begin to improve as they gradually reveal more about themselves to one another as neighbor and on the job. Preconceptions are shattered and true interest and courtship takes place. Noah

This book moved me. The 4th book in Ardent Aprings.
Carrie was a widow and a mother. The last thing she expected
was a man who was friends with her ex-husband. They didn't get along
from the very minute she heard the loud noise coming from
his garage. They had it out. But he wanted to see Patch's little girl.
Carrie wasn't sure that was such a great idea. Noah Winchester hadn't
even liked her.

Carrie and Noah had more things in common then they knew.
The minute he met little Molly he was drawn to

My favorite book of this series besides the first as they are tied.

This is my other favorite book of this series. With everything that Carrie had been through she deserved this happy ever after and I fell in love with Noah. If you are looking for a book that has ups and downs and fights through them then this is the book for you to read.
Carrie has been abused most of her life, and Noah was battling scars of his own from coming home from the war. Even though she was his best friends wife he didn'

I received an e-book copy of this book through a Goodreads giveaway. I really enjoyed the story. Two people suffering from PTSD; brought on by different situations, find themselves drawn to each other. One is a former soldier, the other a formerly abused, single mother of an infant. The character development was good and the story itself was told in a effortless flow. The setting of small-town America; Ardent Springs, Tennessee, is a wonderful backdrop for the story. I liked how the author wove ...more

Everyone deserves a happily ever after

I think this is my favorite Ardent Springs book yet. In Her Hopes and Dreams, Terri Osburn respectfully captures two very real and often difficult topics to discuss; domestic violence and post traumatic stress disorder. Kerri Farmer suffered through many years of domestic abuse but, with the help from her friends she managed to break free and is trying to pay it forward by opening Ardent Spring's first women's shelter.
Noah Winchester is a war vet. He is brok

I don't know which I love more, Terri Osburn's writing or Ardent Springs. This series gets better each book.

When we first meet Carrie in the previous books she was a bruised and battered woman dealing with a crazy husband- who dies! In her own book, Carrie getting stronger, raising her daughter, being friends with not only her ex but his new wife and her family makes for a great story. Add to that mix the sexy Noah Winchester being Carrie's neighbor and coming along with his own bag of PTSD and

Her Hopes and Dreams is a story about risking it all to get to that happily ever after. Noah has seen his share of turmoil on the battlefield, he doesn't expect to come to face to face with those same fears when he looks into a pair of beautiful yet scared eyes. Carrie doesn't trust as easily as she once would have. Her past has left her wary and determined to build a better life for her and her little girl. But her enticing neighbor is waylaying all of her plans and exploring all the possibilit ...more

I loved this story. These characters were so real with hopes, dreams, flaws and issues but people you want to see find the happiness they deserve. I enjoyed watching as Carrie and Noah's relationship changed from adversarial to loving. It was a slow believable turn as they got to know each other working on a project Carrie is very passionate about. The way the author dealt with the issues of PTSD and domestic abuse is commendable. Both are tough issues but she dealt with each with compassion and ...more

This was my first trip to Ardent Spring but it won't be my last! Dealing with some dark issue without making the story to heavy takes seriously talent, and Terri Osburn has it! I laughed, I cried, I yelled at both the hero and heroine, and I absolutely fell in love with the beautiful family that is at the heart of this story.

This is my first Terri Osborn book and I loved it!

This is the exact kind of book you want to read when you need to feel good, it's such a sweet and real story, feels like a breath of fresh air.

The writing is impeccable, and even though this story is part of a series, it works great as a standalone. I will definitely read the other books in the series.

This was the fourth book in Ardent Springs TN written by Terri Osburn. I have read them all and while I loved them all this one is my favorite. When I write a review I normally will tell you about the heroine and hero, and a bit about the story. This one, I think needs to be read on its own. I hope you all give it a chance and enjoy it as much as I did.

Before I get into the story, I will have to warn you. This book contains a realistic description of PTSD, as suffered by a Veteran, and domestic violence, and the aftermaths of such abuse. So, if you are triggered easily, don't read this book.

Most contemporary romance novels are light in their subject matter, meddling mothers, class differences, or other obstacles finds the two main characters within the pages, keeping them apart until they finally get together. In this case, "Her Hopes And Dre

Carrie has quite the history. She is a single mom, ex-wife, battered spouse and widow. She lives in a trailer out in the country. Her closest neighbor is an empty farmhouse. She is recovering from her abuse, trying to carve out a life for her and her daughter. She works as an office manager for a construction company. This same company is building a shelter for battered women, being overseen by Carrie and the non-profit board.

This is the fourth book in the Ardent Springs series, but it is the first book in that I have read in the series so I don't know if that might have affected my review. Once I started reading the book and found out that the female protagonist Carrie cheated on her husband I was just unable to get over it as I am totally against cheating, this in turn negatively affected the way I saw the book and characters. and PTSD, not new topics by any means, but as written by Ms Osburn, they are terrifically real and emotionally charged. From the onset, Carrie captures your heart, while Noah engages your empathy for his sacrifices and the fallout he's left with. It was easy to form a bond with these characters, as written, they were real enough to leave a lasting impression.

With all the emotions this story generates, there lays within its lines gentle humor, compassion, and the love of family and friends. The

I just have to say that I’ve loved all the books in the Ardent Springs series and Her Hopes and Dreams is no exception. This is Carrie’s story. She is a single mom to her adorable daughter, Molly. She used to be married to Spencer, but their marriage went downhill, after the death of their son. Then she got with the abusive jerk, Patch. Lorelei saves her from one of his beatings and they form a friendship, even though she’s now with Spencer. This book starts with Carrie getting a new, noisy neig ...more

I haven't read any of the other Arden Springs books, but I will have to get them now. I loved this story. I like Carrie and Noah. Noah is sure that he has met his neighbor before, then he remembers that she is the married woman his friend was dating. He can't abide a cheater. What Noah doesn't know is that after Carrie's divorce, she married Noah's friend and that he was very abusive to her. She figured that she deserved the abuse she got because of her previous marriage. Now her husband is dead ...more

Nothing I love more than a strong man felled by the love of a good woman. Add a sweet baby into the mix and I'm a goner! This story is not all sweetness and light, though. Noah struggles with PTSD, and Carrie was a victim of spousal abuse. Their combined issues come to an explosive head when Carrie attempts to help another battered woman. I love the way Carrie was written, once a victim she is now a strong and empathetic advocate standing up for herself and protecting her baby. And I love

Her Hopes and Dreams is another love story from Ardent Springs. Although I liked the story this is my least favorite. There is nothing wrong with the story or the characters. Both Noah and Carrie are very likable sweet and easy to love. But for me the story was missing a special spark just like it was at the end with the letter. With more that in the story would be perfect. But I enjoyed reading it and was happy to read about Ardent Springs once again.

I was wondering when and who they were going to pair up with little Carrie, who has been through so much already. I think Terri Osburn chose the perfect person to put with Carrie and her daughter. But most importantly, it wasn't just about who would help heal Carrie. It's about our this match helps each other become whole together.

I love a good sappy romance story. I've enjoyed the whole series and was impressed with this one in particular. The author seamlessly wove in topics of domestics violence and PTSD. I enjoyed seeing Carrie blossom into a confident woman and I also loved keeping up with the previous couples of Arden Springs.

This book is full of good friends and has a lot of heart. While the story has PTSD and domestic abuse in it, it is still a heartwarming tale. I loved how good Noah was with the baby, it was truly sweet. This is the first book that I have read in this series and I would now like to go back and read the rest.
