This was another really good chapter in the overall Last Pendragon series. There was war and deception, and a continuing quest for the treasures, but the fellowship of the companions of Cade and Rhiann held strong.

As I am continuing on to the last book of the series, I will feel a little sad leaving it behind even as I am excited to see how it ends.

Once again the narration of the audiobook was very well done.

The companions are scattered, each to their own task, to try and find the six missing sacred items of the original thirteen.
Each appeared to face a dead end until fate or their own abilities that they didn't fully utilise were harnessed.

Great series!

People who say a series should end with 5 books are wrong. This is #7 and the best yet. It could go on forever. There's magic, romance, strategy, history, honor, and touches of King Arthur. Sometimes in unexpected ways. The characters are well developed, the story flows, fantastical things happen. How could this world be real? In fact, how could it not be? Read this series and find yourself traveling to medieval Wales. But be careful what you wish for out loud because you could find yourself in this sometimes scary place.
