Maybe being a vampire isn’t what’s it’s cracked up to be. Instead of a few years of betrayals, deceit and the anguish of a lost love, you could face an eternity of it. Then again, With Beth’s tender heart still yearning for Amon, lost for five years behind a masking spell, I imagine every day felt like an eternity. She will do anything to find him, risk everything and vows to somehow make Osiris, Isis and Hathor pay, but first she needs to find them.

Then, Amon suddenly returns, the spell has bee

This is a vampire story set in the modern world. It has 21st-century dialogue, and the main character is modern.

Beth is a young vampire. 5 years is a long time to be waiting for someone, in fact, it's the whole of Beth's vampire life. She is bound by blood to Amon, but she is married to Philippe. With Amon absent, Philippe wants to make a go of their marriage, but he hasn't always been honest with her. Beth finds it hard to trust him. He loves Beth, but he is selfish and struggles to have her b

This is the second book in the series and it picks up five years after Amon and Beth have separated. Beth is married to Philippe but yearns for her true love, Amon.
I enjoyed the story but felt that Beth wavered too much and unnecessarily between Philippe and Amon. Five years is plenty of time for her to have realised that marriage to Philippe wasn't working out and that she only wanted to be with Amon. I found this section of the book to be a little bit slow and I didn't have much sympathy for a

Review for “Bound by blood” by Laura Daleo:

It’s the second book from the “Immortal Kiss” series written by American author Laura Daleo. The story continues the events from the first book and focuses on Beth’s search for her lover, Amon.
Laura’s writing style can be easily understood by readers and the world she created is a treat for all fans of the vampire romance paranormal fantasy genre. Love, deceit, betrayal are three of the things the readers will find within the story.
The book is a mixtu

I have so far enjoyed Laura's book and this one did not disappoint.  I love books about vampires and this book adds a little something new.  I have enjoyed the series so far.  I little romance and action maybe even some mystery.  I think anyone who likes to read vampire stories need to give this series a chance.  *This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.* ...more

It is five years since Beth has been turned into a vampire and she desperately longs to be with Amon. But Amon has a masking spell on him and she can’t find him. So Beth has stayed with Philippe since he seems to want to make the marriage work. But then the spell is broken and Beth can find Amon and the gods that have caused her so much heartache and she has some serious revenge planned.

So things have gone as expected with Beth. She is heartbroken and can’t seem to live without Amon because of t

I was given this book for review

I did not realize this was a second book in a series and I had not read the first book. I looked at reviews of the first book and I was caught up. The heroine is not a strong character at all. In the first book Beth became a vampire and was in love with Amon. Philippe comes along and pretends to be Amon. They marry. Amon comes along and Beth finds out her mistake. Book 2 starts 5 years later. Amon is missing and Beth is still married to Philippe. Why wouldn't she

Bound by Blood: Immortal Kiss is a romantic paranormal fantasy novel written by Laura Daleo. Beth has been waiting for him to come back to her for five long years now. Amon was her mysterious companion made of mist as she was growing up, and when she discovered her bedroom filled with rose petals, she realized that she had come to love him. Philippe had taken advantage of her, however, an

I was gifted this book by the Author for an honest review.

I was so excited to read this and it didn't disappoint.
After Amon's disappearance and the web lies Phillipe spun Beth is hurting. She loves Amon but she also to a point loves Phillipe. Beth is a kind soul and does not want to hurt anyone.

Amon is back. 5 years he lost with Beth and he wants justice for what Hathor did. But Hathor has gone missing along with Osiris and Isis. A fire demon is recruited to help find them. When they're located

I must say that this book is much better than the first book in the series based on the literary style and grammatical perspective. The timeline shifts has been eased into from one thing to the next great and is a definite improvement. I could hardly find any faults in this book, so kudo to Lauren!

The story, however, is somewhat disappointing to me. I was entirely surprised at how much time had passed when I first started reading this and found that Beth had wallowed and ached for 5 years and y

Yet another absolutely amazing vamp book to follow the first! Picking up 5 agonizing years after the first book ended, we meet a more mature and emotionally weathered Beth as she pines for her lost love while still trying to make things work with Philippe. Drinking herself into a stupor with both blood and wine, she tries to cope with her daily life and mend her torn heart. After a huge surprise at a gala thrown to cheer her up, she must finally choose who to love and is out for vengeance again ...more

Would you drink from the binding goblet?
As a huge fan of Amanda Ashley I was intrigued by this paranormal fantasy romance, Bound by Blood: Immortal Kiss, by Laura Daleo. I just finished reading it in one sitting. Yes, it was so good that I couldn't put it down! The second in the Immortal Kiss series it has everything you could want in a novel from this genre; blood, lust, unrequited love, the need to feed, betrayal, demons, and oh so many lies. As the years have crept by, to the dismay of her 70

I won a copy of this book in a Goodreads giveaway.
I had not read the earlier book in this series but the story was fairly easy to pickup and I don't think that interfered with my assessment of the story.
Basically, I thought this was an okay book. The story started slow and never really grabbed me. The characters were well written although Beth, with her conflicts and emotional wallowing, wasn't a very sympathetic figure to me. The plot was rather interesting and I had no trouble finishing the bo

The author gave me this book in exchange to an honest review.
We found a very hurt And conflcted Beth because the lost of her true love, and after 5 years of sorrow when she almost lost hope he comes back to her because the spell that a very obsessive vampire goddess is finally broken... So far so good, but really I wanted to slap Beth because
All the childish decisions!! And C'mon Amon what is wrong with you she is your eternal promise your blood runs through her veins!! You can't just play nice

Another fascinating episode in the saga of Beth and Amon. Romantic and sensual without being graphically erotic, this novel reminds me of the classic romance novels of old. Rebecca, Wuthering Heights, et al. I love the authors style and ability to create characters that are believable and realistic.

As an independent reviewer for Romance Authors that Rock, I give this 4.5 hearts. It's almost perfect!! I don't know if making it not be completely from Beth's point of view would make it perfect or

I really enjoyed reading this book and catching up with the characters from Immortal Kiss which is the first book in the series. This book has you turning pages to see what happens next. Solid 3 dimensional characters and a fluid story line make this one to read!!!
