OMG, I felt very sorry for Kate as she watched in horror at the scene that destroyed her life. Suddenly engaged to Mac, she was on the boat to encourage him with catching a marlin and that fish was HUGE! Then her world went wrong and she took it out on the captain by hitting him over and over again. I liked that Brady Finn, captain of the Sea Sprite tried to stay away from the newly engaged couple, but jealousy, and envy overcame him just assisting Kate on his boat, and he wanted her with every fiber of his body. He played at releasing her hand that zapped an electrical shock through his system and tried to shack it off as she was engaged and he could not have her. How could a simple charter go so wrong?

This author has delivered great characters that are well developed and engaging with plenty of chemistry that draw us from the start. The even flow of the storyline kept me entertained.

Kate and Mac go out on a fishing trip aboard Captain Brady's boat and what should have been a carefree day of fun quickly turns into something unexpected. This is emotional with some twists and turns that I never expected.

Heartwarming

This story was was heartbreaking in the beginning but was a happy ending. It raises the question does love at first sight exist? The first book in this series and I can't wait to see what happens next.

I am sure there are many of us that have at some stage have been happy in love and the thought of falling for another seems completely unlikely.

Yet it can and does happen every now and then. You look at the person you're with and then look at the other person that has you in knots and you have to chose.

Do you go for the safe option by sticking with the love of your life, or do you follow the excitement and thrill of a newer love?

In this very short but oh so powerful read author Tara Mills shows just how complicated it can get when you have to make that very choice.

Only the story does not play out the way you would think. The book had many twists and turns, for some readers this might be a bit of a let down as the more twists and turns a book has the more complicated it can get.

But for me this is exactly what I loved about the book. The more twists and turns showed up the more it kept me interested and the more fascinating it became. It also showed the book and the characters as very realistic.

As we all know in real life things always has twists and turns that you cannot predict and yes sometimes it can be a pain but it also adds to the thrill of life.

The author did a magnificent job at taking a story of love and turning it into a action filled, thrilling adventure. I am taking away a message of when life throws you to the sharks , don't panic instead go with it. You will end up exactly where you are meant to be.

I recommend this read for all fans of short, powerful attention holding, kick-ass reads!

It’s hard to write a review of Intimate Strangers that doesn’t include spoilers. So much of the plot hinges on a huge event that happens within the first quarter of the book, it renders writing too much about the story difficult. But this book is so good!

What happens when you encounter unbridled passion — but it’s unbridled in a way you didn’t expect, and at a time you didn’t expect? And with a lover you didn’t expect?

I love the exploration of the consequences of the events early in the book. They’re honest and challenging. I love the reflection of real feelings, feelings anyone who’s known grief can understand. And I love the honesty with which love finds its way into the lives of Kate Foster and the man she can’t forget.

This short book covers a period of time, as it should; the events are such that the tale can’t be resolved too quickly. It wouldn’t be real. This story rings true, from beginning to end.

Five stars from me!

This novella has surprises around every corner. And then some! Young and in love, Kate and Mac head out for a beautiful day of deep sea fishing. Okay, so maybe the boat’s captain is HOT, but hey, so is Mac. Who could possibly predict that such a pleasant adventure would turn everyone’s lives upside down? While it is well written, I was taken very much by surprise at one point (no spoilers here - you’ll know where) and found myself having to regroup a bit before moving on. With all that happens, it is perhaps better suited for a longer story (would have loved to spend more time with this!), nevertheless, it is a good read and leaves a positive lasting impression.
Well done.

Disgusted by Book

NOTE: This review contains spoilers.

I don't say this often, as I do like to try to keep an open mind about stories and the author's intent, but I have to say this book actually disgusted me. First, the heroine lusts after a guy she just met literally the morning after she gets engaged. She can’t stop thinking about the new guy while she internally professes her love for her fiance. Ugh. But the Ick Factor did not end there. It became way worse. Ummmm, just no!

I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

Cute short story. The way it was written was kind of hard to follow. It being a short story seemed to make it jump into the baseline super fast.
