Covers Lassen Park, Caribou and Thousand Lakes wildernesses, Hat Creek Valley and McArthur-Burney Falls State Park. Includes a topographic map that shows the Park and vicinity on one side, and the adjacent wilderness areas on the other.

This guide book does an excellent job of describing some of the more popular hikes in Mt. Lassen National Park. My favorite are the Horseshoe/Twin/Rainbow Lakes and Snag Lake (with a side trip to the Cinder Cone and Painted Dunes). These areas are noted for the relatively minor elevation climbs, warm & swimmable lakes, and stunning scenery.
