Ciardis Weathervane is facing a war on two fronts. One with the dragons. One with the deities.

She is ready to face the god that they’ve known was coming for months, but the people that she thought would coalesce around her are faltering under the pressure, the lies, and the deceit.

She knows that the very foundation between ruler, nobility, and commoner had fractured down t

I'm really enjoying this series but Sworn to War left me feeling very disappointed.
There was way too much internal monologue from the heroine, much of which was just repeating the same thing over and over and which frankly didn't need to be said because it could be easily inferred.
There was very little progression in the storyline.

Courtlight was one of my favorite series of all time. That’s why it is so hard to write this review. The first six books of this series were wonderful. With each book the story developed, the characters grew and the authors writing matured beautifully. Then a year went by and Books 7-9 came out.
The simplest way to say this is that the author’s writing deteriorated significantly in that year. Book 7 was immature, dull and lifeless. Book 8 was confusing and poorly organized. This book, Courtlight

Sworn to War is nonstop right out of the gate. Ciardis, Sebastian, and Thanar confront the emperor and demand justice for the atrocities he has committed against the empire, but of course nothing goes as they have actually planned for it to go! Each of three bond mates has their own struggles that they must face, but Ciardis takes you on an emotional rollercoaster from the very beginning. At the end some questions are answered, but in her usual style Terah Edun leaves us with a cliff hanger that ...more

I have enjoyed this series so much but this book very disappointing. It dragged on for so long and barely accomplished anything.

This book was terrible! I enjoyed the premise of her first few books so I continued this far despite all of 7-9 being some of worst I've read. These books read like she wrote them in a few weeks and didn't bother with the barest of edits. The plot hole are numerous, she uses trite manipulations to cover not knowing what to do, and she never satisfies the reader. She didn't even check for typos! I shouldn't have wasted my money and will not read anything else by her again!

Such a disappointment as I was really enjoying this series. There were typos everywhere, and parts of the story that seemed to go on forever. The ending was poorly written and there were so many moments that were written as if the author was so excited to get to the next part that she seemed to rush over some basic details. This has gone from a favourite series, to one I may not finish.

I am sorry to say this is going to be a short review because saying too much will give things away. I received an eArc from Terah Edun for an honest review. Just know that we are getting closer to the end of the series and not everything or even most are worked out in the end. Terah did mention that in you purchased the book at the end will be a surprise about Lillian’s life at court before her children came along. You will be taken for an emotional roller-coaster ride for this one and you will ...more
This book really messed me up. So much happened. Ciardis's mom went wacko, the emperor turned out to be more conniving that we ever thought, and Thanar...I thought he was DEAD! DEAD! Thank God he's still alive. Even though he's glowing blue. But he's tearing the emperor apart at the very end. I feel very happy now.

I wonder what will happen with her mom - the split personality thing, and the "my boy" thing? And I REALLY want to know who Ciardis's DAD is. I've been wondering that for a while. I a

I'll preface this by saying I'm giving Terah a 3 stars here because I like her overall - for this book, its probably overly generous.

This book is by far the shortest and I felt most disappointing. It reminded me of the last movies of the Hunger Games - you know, where they split the book in half? This felt like it was the second half of the eighth book and she was just trying to game my money because there were enough events in the two books to justify them being separate...except they're not e

Number 9 in the Courtlight series, which I've followed avidly from the start. Things are really coming to a head now and while I really liked this book it is a lot of setup for what is coming. That's not a bad thing, we kind of take a breather from the non-stop action to see the preparations for the coming war.

I don't want to post too many spoilers so this will probably be very short as I don't want to give anything away but be assured there's a lot going on here and while there isn't the custom

Poorly Edited

First of all, the typos in here are atrocious. Pretty instead of prey, there, instead of their. Etc etc etc.
Second, I have doubts about the authors mental state when she wrote this. She spent so much effort and time describing dark mental images and feelings. Almost the entire book is devoted to our heroines mentality, which got extremely tedious. I scanned many many pages trying to get to the meat of the story, trying to find out who and what and why,and I'm still not sure what hap

Just finished book #9 of this series.

Just finished book #9 of this series. Ciardis has more troubles and problems in this book with another cliff hanger ending. So again waiting for the next book to come out to see what happens next. Ciardis does have a direct contact and battle in this book but what will the out come be????

Great reading from start to end

Another edge of your seat reads in the adventures of Ciardis and her friends. The plot twists and turns and keeps you guessing. As Ciardis and the guys close in on the evil emperor Maradian, he finally begins to show his true self. I truly enjoyed the book and look forward to the next book.

Should have stopped at book 7

Series doesn't keep my interest anymore. Had potential but 3.99 for such a short book that could of easily been 5 chapters. I had to skip pages because I was getting so bored.

As always, Terah Edun has given yet another sequel to the Courtlight Series. It is as riveting as it is hard to put down.

Way too detailed.

I like the series but this book took me awhile to finish. There was so much talking I was dying of boredom. But I hope the next book is better because all the others are great. #teamthanar
