★★★★★ "Wanted our grandchildren to remember 'all things Oregon' as they move to Mississippi. This was a rare and well well-presented book on some of Oregon's treasures." O is for Oregon , part of the “See-My-State” series, is a state-oriented ABC book for young children with couplets written by kids, for kids. This book covers subjects important or significant to Oregonians and includes brilliant color photography by top photographers. Each vibrant page highlights a unique aspect of Oregon's natural beauty and lively culture with either a place, animal, plant or another evocative idea. The book’s eye-popping design and educational content will hold the child’s interest through countless readings. In addition to the 26 letters of the alphabet is the “Who Knew?—Facts about the great state of Oregon” section which gives parents, teachers, and even kids a deeper understanding of the topic for each letter of this Oregon alphabet.
This is an alphabet picture book written by kids for kids. Each page is a poem written by a child from Winterhaven School. They are pictured and acknowledged in the back of the book. It's all about Oregon is a great book!
This is actually a different series than the Alabama one I just rated. I like this one better. It was written by Elementary school students and lists features of their state, and has a little bit more depth in the back. This is a little more information that is still something very young children would enjoy. Plus it is cool that the elementary kids helped write it.
This book was written by elementary students. It has great pictures. The rhyming text was a little much for me. I would have preferred more information about each subject.
This is a wonderful alphabet book all about Oregon ("G is for Gorge," "R is for Rose City"). The rhymes are sweet (all written by children), and the accompanying photos are good.
