Overall Opinion: This was a sweet story about two damaged characters that find love in each other enough to heal themselves. I think the safety gals will eat this book right up, because it has a virgin H and an awesome HEA and is 100% safe! I, however, did have some things that made my rating not so high. I struggled with the h. I had issues with her attitude at times, but I just think she's simply not a h for me. Others probably will relate better with her, but I just wanted more of

The Unveiling gang are my people. After reading three books I couldn’t be more invested in their stories and after being introduced to Ellie and Grayson in Unveiling Chaos I was beyond ready to know theirs. Already in Unveiling Chaos Ellie was struggling with her current situation but thankfully she had the support of her brother Damien, his girlfriend Naomi and common friend Grayson.
Unveiling Fate can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading from book 1 Unveiling The Sky just to experie

Unveiling Fate is a fantastic addition to the Unveiling series. I loved this book so much! This book is about Ellie and Grayson. I met them in Unveiling Chaos and I hoped for a book about them since. I loved getting to know them better, reading how they fell in love and how they got their happily ever after. The last two chapters in this book were absolutely perfect.

Ellie is an incredible character. Ellie was an addict, until she discovered that she was pregnant. Her life is not always easy, but

Oddly enough I liked the heroine way better than the hero I usually liked the hero more than the heroine but not this time. She was a good mother.
I liked the hero too, I wouldn't call him awkward but he had his quirks. Lol like how he needed to park straight he would get out of the car and check if that car was straight and he would reparked, he was sweet with her and I liked how they became best friends instead of falling for each other quick.
I needed some clarifications but overall I did enjoy

I love this author so much! Jeannine Allison writes the sweetest love stories! This book told the story of Ellie Harrington, a recovering alcoholic who becomes pregnant and Grayson Mabel, a police officer with a rough past. Grayson and Ellie form a friendship and Grayson helps Ellie overcome her insecurities.

The relationship between Ellie and Grayson was so sweet and he was so caring and commited to her and her son, Andy! I

“..the heart never really cared about all that other stuff. It didn’t care whether you were in a healthy place. It didn’t ask if you were ready for it. It didn’t sit and wait until you felt in control. It didn’t even matter if the other person returned your feelings.”

It’s phrases like that account for much of my rating. I found the heroine to be a little bit too down on herself at times, the hero a tad soft. And sometimes the subject matter was treated with a little bit too much maudlin angst bu

Ellie Harrington is used to being looked over, at being forgotten, at being a mistake in her parent's perfect world. She grew used to the loneliness, to the doubt in herself, covering it up with alcohol and the company of other addicts. Grayson Mable couldn't forget her if he tried though, the beautiful pregnant girl fighting so hard to stay sober is threatening his ordered, quiet world. What starts as a job for him becomes something more as Ellie breaks down his walls and he finds himself doing ...more

"The boy who wished to be forgotten and the girl who everyone forgot." <-- that is the line that sold me.

This is the second Jeannine Allison book I’ve read and I’m definitely excited to read more by her. Her characters are flawed which makes them extremely relatable. Ellie is the product of her unfortunate upbringing who (because of said upbringing) has a strong and even enviable relationship with her brother, Damien. I’m an only child, and when I read relationships such as this one, I tend t

Beautiful. Heartbreaking. Emotional.

These are just are just a few of the words that come to mind after reading Unveiling Fate. When we first meet Grayson and Ellie, they couldn't seem more opposite. But, there was something deep down inside of them that each could relate to. They both had been so isolated from their peers growing up, yet they took completely different paths that ultimately brought them together. Ellie became an alcoholic, did what it took to numb the pain. Grayson withdrew from

This is a delicious slow burn romance that centres on honest, flawed characters that I quickly fell in love with. They are both a little bit broken, but still perfect.

" ... fate is about finding the person our broken pieces fit with"

The book flowed beautifully and the dual POVs allowed me to really get to know both characters equally and reminded me how much I enjoy getting the guy's thoughts.

They both come with a lot of baggage - but who doesn't, and they definitely bring out the best in each

Unveiling Fate deals with some hard topics that we tend to shy away from. These topics are real, and they hurt, but they will leave their mark on your soul once you finish Ellie and Grayson’s book. They were perfect. I don’t even know how I can write a review that could do this book j

Ah-ha! Almost...I feel like I'm almost there. Why do I have the feeling that the last book of this series is going to be the one that is going to gut me? Ok. Wait. I've gotta back up. Unveiling Fate is book 4 in the Unveiling series, a series of interconnected standalone novels by Jeannine Allison. Enter me...a *slightly* (cough, cough) neurotic reader, who must read series in order, and therefore obviously has read all of the prior books in this series. What is it if not book heaven?

First of all, let me say it aloud – I do believe in fate as well. It was decided by a bigger power that my life and Jeannine Allison’s books had to collide. Fate led her beautiful words into my life, so I captured them and held them close to my heart.

This book is pure magic. I have way too many feelings waving through my soul. Unveiling Fate broke me into a million tiny pieces, then built me up all over again. It made me feel alive. I wouldn’t trade this feeling to

Another favourite from Jeannine

I love how this author makes these characters come to life and leaves you caring about all of them. The development and description is so well written.

Ellie has a rough past and she was an addict She only had her brother. Her brother Damien needed help to get Ellie clean, he meets Grayson. Read this tear jerker for yourself. To see how these characters unfold.

“It began like any addiction, to fill a void.”
I’ve never read a book from Jeannine Allison before. I went in knowing it was going to be an emotional ride, but didn’t expect the amount of POWER Jeannine was able to pack into her words—her story.
This book resonated with me. So, so deeply.
There are very few authors that can do this to me. Have me connect in such a special and deep way with their story that it makes me feel like I’m living through it with the c

Unveiling Fate is more than a romance, it's more than a story of two people finding their way to each other. It's a story of forgiveness, not just forgiving others, but forgiving yourself. It's a
story about letting go of the past - about not letting it and the decisions you made because of it define who you are the rest of your life. But it is also about two people finding each other, that fate has laid out a path for them to collide on and how sometimes even when you don't e

The teenage years are tough. Wanting to belong and fit in is the foremost thought on most teenage minds. Those thoughts and feelings shape you and follow you into adulthood. With the opening pages of Unveiling Fate, Jeannine Allison drops you right into those feelings and emotions and my heart ached for both Ellie and Grayson. She’s struggling to believe she’s worthy. His existence and life is structured and lonely. Their story absorbed me from the beginning. Both suffering and fi

Five "Still. Always. Forever." Stars!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This review is guaranteed to not be able to do this amazing story justice, because I am currently a rambling mess of emotions.

This book has all the feels. Every emotion you could ever want you will find in this story. My heart was broken no less than a hundred times while reading, and I'm not sure I have been able to collect all the pieces. But that's ok. Ellie and Grayson have those missing pieces, and will have them forever.

Unveiling Fate is a beautiful tale of two broken souls, working to fit their broken pieces together. This story was honest, heartbreaking and beautiful. I loved the slow burn between Ellie and Grayson and the development of their friendship and subsequent relationship. Both have serious trust issues, so watching them become the best of friends over time was so rewarding.

The dual POV is so impactful in this love story. We hear important details of what brought them to this point in their lives, d

UNVEILING FATE is my first book to read by Jeannine Allison. All though it is part of the Unveiling Series it can be read as a standalone book. This is very much a book of feelings, and for anyone who has ever felt invisible, alone or unwanted. The girl who everyone forgot. The boy who wished to be forgotten.

Ellie Harrington just wanted to be seen. She was sure no one ever saw her. If they ever did for a brief moment, then they wouldn't remember her. Her parents had neglected her and she had not

Every time I pick up a book by this author, I feel a rush of excitement, knowing that I’m in for a treat of word poems that will make my soul sing.

Her stories are always fluidly written, her characters engaging and likeable. Her dialogue is snappy and fun.

But what I love the most about Allison’s words is that sometimes, she writes a paragraph so insightful that I find myself pausing and hugging my Kindle and thanking the indie Gods for sending her books my way. This book was liberally scattere

This was only my second book by this author and every time I kick myself for not reading her sooner.

Unveiling Fate was in my opinion a literary MASTERPIECE. The writing flowed beautifully. The characters with all of their imperfections, it made me love them that much more. I wanted to reach INTO the book and hug them.

It was almost like this book was written specifically for me with the slow burning romance and a child to boot.

I really liked this story. This is my second book by Ms. Allison so I wasn't wholly familiar with her work. I know (now) that this is part of a bigger series and that I need to know what the hell is going on with Derek and Sam! ; )
