Is Islam a "religion of peace"? Was Muhammad the true and final prophet of God? Is the Quran the fulfilment of the Bible, and legitimately continuing the traditions of the Judeo-Christian scriptures? Perhaps one of the most audacious, shocking, unthinkable and highly controversial ideas to ever be conceived, The People vs Muhammad places the founding father of Islam on trial for crimes against humanity, and to challenge his self-proclaimed authority. With the growing threat of home-grown Muslim jihadist terrorist attacks and the ominous cataclysm of a global holy war, there's no doubt Islam has become a burdensome issue which has our own western governments perplexed. This book series intends to investigate the true ideology of Islam, to ascertain with reason and logic the legitimacy of Muhammad's claim and core teachings of his cult. Throughout this series, author J.K Sheindlin carefully analyses the Quran and the Islamic texts legalistically to expose the shocking truth pertaining to Muhammad's advocation for: Pedophilia, honor killings, sex slavery, prostitution, racism, extortion, murder, psychological indoctrination, intellectual terrorism, censorship, grand larceny, racketeering, domestic violence, gender inequality, and much more! In this powerful series, the first installment Psychological analysis delves deep into Muhammad's past and uncovers disturbing facts which undoubtedly prove to be the origins of his multiple psychopathological disorders. Using entirely the Islamic sources in reference to contemporary psychiatric-medical archives, J.K Sheindlin details Muhammad's extensive catalogue of mental illnesses which include: Psychopathy, Gynophobia, Napoleon Complex, Schizophrenia, Narcissistic Personality Disorder, Messiah-God Complex, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Athazagorophobia, Oedipus Complex, Sex-addiction, Pedophilia, and Necrophilia. Furthermore, the author also hypothesizes a convincing argument based on medical science, which debunks Muhammad's first revelation. These external factors being: Volcanic gas inhalation, sensory deprivation, starvation, dehydration, brain damage and Syphilis. Written to provoke a rational response from both Muslim and western readers, the verdict is ultimately decided by the public to determine if Muhammad's claim to prophethood is legitimate.
One of the worst books ever. It's biased and full of logical fallacies.
The author tries to imitate the long tradition of orientalists in relying on weak narrations and some books which were written after Muhammad's death by 300 years or so. There are many things that the author deliberately ignored such as;
1. the fact that Muhammad commanded his companions not to write down his parables.
2. The Muslim holy book is the Quran, nothing else.
3. Muslims accept any hadith "parable" that have a basis in the Quran, if it doesn't have any basis or its concept is not mentioned in the Quran so it's not authentic at all whoever narrated it.
4. The Egyptian author Zaki Mubarak had made a survey about the casualties of the battles of Muhammad from both sides "In 10 Years" and "more than 63 battles and engagements" :
a. 262 Muslims / 1022 Non-Muslim. (These numbers included individual cases's casualties as well) so the sum = 1284 (N.B: Mr. Mubarak relied on the exaggerating reports that boosted the numbers of the Non-Muslim casualties) b. In order not to raise the question about their percentage, he calculated the number of casualties in regard to the total number of combatants in both sides and found that the percentage of Muslim casualties = 1% / while the percentage of Non-Muslim casualties = 2%. So he wasn't a blood-thirsty warmonger as the author tries to depict. You can return to these : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5U5QO... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45IEj...
5. The issue of female captives : the Quran is very clear about it in Chapter 4, verse 25 : "And whoever among you cannot [find] the means to marry free, believing women, then [he may marry] from those whom your right hands possess of believing slave girls. And Allah is most knowing about your faith. You [believers] are of one another. So marry them with the permission of their people [Relatives and Parents] and give them their due compensation according to what is acceptable. [They should be] chaste, neither [of] those who commit unlawful intercourse randomly nor those who take [secret] lovers..." >> So no incitement to "rape" as he tries to portray.
jesus said "love your enemies and do good to those who do bad to you" ... muhammad said "hate your enemies and kill the infidels wherever you find them"(read some verses from quran below out of the hundreds of similar verses in quran)
(quran chapter 60 verse 1)--- O you who believe! Take not My enemies and your enemies (i.e. disbelievers and polytheists, etc.) as friends, showing affection towards them, while they have disbelieved in what has come to you of the truth (i.e. Islamic Monotheism, this Qur'an, and Muhammad ), and have driven out the Messenger (Muhammad ) and yourselves (from your homeland) because you believe in Allah your Lord! If you have come forth to strive in My Cause and to seek My Good Pleasure, (then take not these disbelievers and polytheists, etc., as your friends). You show friendship to them in secret, while I am All-Aware of what you conceal and what you reveal. And whosoever of you (Muslims) does that, then indeed he has gone (far) astray, (away) from the Straight Path .
Qur'an 3:28—Let not the believers take disbelievers for their friends in preference to believers. Whoso doeth that hath no connection with Allah unless (it be) that ye but guard yourselves against them, taking (as it were) security. Allah biddeth you beware (only) of Himself. Unto Allah is the journeying.
chapter 48: verse 29-- "Muhammad () is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves."
Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allah, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islam) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.(9:28-29) Quran (chapter 2: verse 216) Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know.
Quran (61:10-12) - "O You who believe! Shall I guide you to a commerce that will save you from a painful torment. That you believe in Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad), and that you strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives, that will be better for you, if you but know! (If you do so) He will forgive you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow, and pleasant dwelling in Gardens of'Adn- Eternity ['Adn(Edn) Paradise], that is indeed the great success."
Quran (47:3-4) - "Those who disbelieve follow falsehood, while those who believe follow the truth from their Lord... So, when you meet (in fight Jihad in Allah's Cause), those who disbelieve smite at their necks till when you have killed and wounded many of them, then bind a bond firmly (on them, i.e. take them as captives)... If it had been Allah's Will, He Himself could certainly have punished them (without you). But (He lets you fight), in order to test you, some with others. But those who are killed in the Way of Allah, He will never let their deeds be lost."
Quran (47:35) - "Be not weary and faint-hearted, crying for peace, when ye should be uppermost
Quran (9:111) - "Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in truth, through the Law, the Gospel, and the Quran: and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the achievement supreme."
Quran (8:65) - "O Prophet, exhort the believers to fight.."
Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them" here in 4:89 quran orders to kill muslims who dont participate in jihad (Quran chapter 4 verse 89) They wish that you reject Faith, as they have rejected (Faith), and thus that you all become equal (like one another). So take not Auliya' (protectors or friends) from them, till they emigrate in the Way of Allah (to Muhammad ). But if they turn back (from Islam), take (hold) of them and kill them wherever you find them, and take neither Auliya' (protectors or friends) nor helpers from them.
i read quran and anyone who reads it would know that it is from satan...in the 21st century except muslims people from other faiths are reading it and getting to know what a filthy guy muhammad was ..watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWzJ_...
quran promises virgins for sex in heaven for muslims...here are the verses from the "holy" quran 44:51-54 , 52:20 , 55:54-56 , 55:70-74 , 56: 22-24 , 56: 35-38 , 78: 31-34 allah runs a brothel house and he is not the holy GOD of abraham
Jesus said "even if you look at a woman with lust you have committed adultery with her in your heart" and Jesus approved only one wife but muhammad allowed raping of slaves and captives and allowed muslims to have upto 4 wives(satan's clever way of making men commit adultery) muhammad married his adopted son's wife zainab who was his daughter in law(quran chap 33: verse 37) and muhammad got extra sex privileges from allah (quran chapter 33: verse 50)
This is just a hate book. I have read some other books about the concerning parts of Islam that motivate horrible actions by remote tribal councils, a few brutal nations, and terrorists. Apparently this author has read such books as well and it made him angry so he wrote and over-the-top hateful diatribe. It has so many flaws such as being repeatedly self-contradictory, and prone to gross overstatement including the repeated use of "irrefutable" referring to far fetched speculation. He also reveals himself to be a fundamentalist Christian in places, as when he uses as proof that Mohammed is a fraud the verse that Allah made Adam from a clot of blood when we know from the bible it was really dust. Ah. This book wrongfully insults, and it does nothing to help the Islamic world to modernize and reform. It is simply a religion versus religion hate book.
This book is filled with details on what Muhammad actually said and did. Shocking, provocative and yet corroborated with evidence from the actual sources. Quoted extensively from the Hadiths, the Quran and the Sirat (Life of Muhammad). Informative and entertaining read. It sheds light on the person of Muhammad, how he thought and who he actually was.
The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars: Tons of grammatical errors. It's as if it did not go through the editorial process.
The worst!! I don't even want to say anything here. Just read the book if you want to know what kind of book is it. But don't judge anyone else (especially muslim) after you read this sh*t (excuse my language). "This is a book of hate!"
This is a devastating critique of Islam. No Muslim could read this and return to faith in Islam. No stone is left unturned. The character of Muhammad is exposed with clarity. An amazing read. A must read for a Muslim who is serious about knowing the truth. Or is it: you can't handle the truth!
This book is self-published and has many typos, etc. I was expecting something a bit more polished and unbiased. Many of the references were biased as well. It offers up some interesting concepts and conclusions but it was not worth the cost and the biased language and references made it hard to take too seriously.
It never occurs to me to leave Islam, but I did, and it's been over twenty years now. Nevertheless, this book is a hard read because the sobering truth about Muhammad/Islam still has the power to hurt and makes one's angry, notably the lies that so perfected and guarded as "sacred truths." I grief for my forefathers of old, which I did not know how they became Muslims back in Java Island (either free will, manipulated or force) and the living relatives that continues to live and subjected to these lies. J K Sheindlin wrote this book knowing full well the push-backs from the Ummah will be great against his safety and his family too, and for that, he earned my respect. Bravo and kudos to you, my good man! Over the years, I have had read many books on Islam/Muhammad, testimonies of ex-Muslims from various backgrounds and concludes that those materials consistent with this book. I want to echo the writer's challenge, particularly the curious and open-minded Muslims: read the book and check his sources and prove him wrong.
A very badly written book. Arguments presented by the author are inconsistent and self contradictory. Author had already made some assumptions and claims, and then found various reasons to justify those assumptions.
Warning! Muhammed was a disgusting person so this review will mention r*pe, pedophilia and necrophilia.
Content:
I don't have much knowledge of Islam myself, but all of this does fit in with what I already knew. It was pretty intense, especially the parts about necro- and pedophilia.
I did object to the author's comment that carrying the "offspring" of your r*pist is hellish. Yes, it's incredibly traumatising, but this is exactly the reason many women today kill their own unborn children. Dehumanizing the "offspring" is wrong.
There was a lot of repetition (for example, the part where Muhammed told his followers to bathe in sewage water was repeated about 5 times), but the author confesses this at the beginning, and, since this deals with Muhammed's psychological issues one by one, some overlap is to be expected.
Style:
Although the author is an expert on psychology and Islam, it's clear English is not his first language. He misuses the phrase "of which" constantly, among other things. He really should have had an editor, and the fact that he didn't is a real shame. Now anybody who disagrees with the book can just focus on that instead of the content.
I was hoping for a Christopher Hitchens'esque point-by-point breakdown of Islam. Pretty much he sounds like an angry guy with access to a bar stool. To make much use out of it in a real discussion with an Islamist or Islam apologist will require a lot of fact checking. He admits some of it is just speculation. Others are well known; the marriage to Aisha at 6 and the 'kill-em-all' quotes, but there are some tantalizing bits.
Islam may be the 'mother load of bad ideas' as Sam Harris says, but this isn't the book to start your research with.
Though riddled with typographical errors, the author seems to have a vast knowledge regarding the subject concerned. There were, however, several points in the book that I have to strongly disagree with, as they are either scientifically unsound or just plain absurd and far-fetched. Repetition is also a constantly recurring theme throughout this book and the fact that a huge proportion of the book’s bibliography comprises Wikipedia references makes the book questionable.

"The instruments of darkness tell us truths,..”
Just dig these:
*There are 1.2 billion Muslims in the world today. Obviously not all of them are radicals. The greater part of them are passive people.
*The radicals are estimated to be between 15-25%, in keeping with all intelligence services around the world. That leaves 75% of them - passive people.
*But when you look at 15-25% of the world Muslim population, you're looking at 180 million to 300 million people dedicated to the obliteration of Western civilization. That is as big as the United States.
*So why should we worry about the radical 15-25%? Because it is the radicals that slay. Because it is the radicals that behead and slaughter.
*When you look all the way through history, when you look at all the lessons of history, most Germans were nonviolent. Yet the Nazis drove the schema. And consequently, 60 million people died, almost 14 million in concentration camps. 6 million were Jews. The nonviolent majority were immaterial.
*When you look at Russia, most Russians were nonviolent as well. Yet the Russians were able to kill 20 million people. The nonviolent mass were immaterial.
*When you look at China for instance, most Chinese were nonviolent as well. Yet the Chinese were able to kill 70 million people. The nonviolent bulk were immaterial.
*When you look at Japan prior to World War II, most Japanese were peaceful as well. Yet, Japan was able to slaughter its way across Southeast Asia, killing 12 million people, more often than not killed by bayonets and shovels. The nonviolent majority were immaterial.
If you’re reading this book, then in due course you’re living in a liberated country. Preserve it all costs.
There are only a select few in our countries (political refugees, cold war defectors) who can relate to the ramifications of not being afforded basic civil rights. Especially the God-given freedom to liberally assemble and to speak the truth….
For anyone who is to undertake a wide study into the core beliefs of the religion, Islam is a rabbit hole.
Once you begin your voyage into the chasm, into the depths of Muhammad’s immorality, there’s no returning - you will emerge scarred and disturbed.
Sure, you can stick your head in the sand and hope for the best, but the world is changing for the worst because of Islam - you can’t deny it.
Patriotism is not an unclean word.
The very men who signed the American declaration of independence eagerly staked their lives, fortunes and their sacred reputation for their cause which has insured centuries of civil rights and personal freedoms.
Yet, isn’t it sarcastic that the very paper which was created to prevent oppression is being used to usher in a new wave of fascism?
Islam is totalitarianism. It’s underhanded, sinister, and it plays by no-ones rules.
Its ideology dictates that it is allowable to lie if the ends rationalize the means - all must surrender and never oppose.
Before you begin reading this book, please bear in mind that it would benefit to have a general understanding of the facets of Muhammad’s life, the Sunnah (law) and the fundamental tenets of Islam.
Such facts are often dishonestly concealed by the placating, appeasing media and are an discomfiture to the Muslim world. It would be extremely helpful and rewarding to pick up a certified biography of Muhammad’s life, a Quran, the Islamic Hadith (oral traditions and texts) and a Christian Bible.
To put this book in context we must admit undoubtably that Muhammad declared himself as the undebatable, inalienable, self-fulfilling authority of the Judeo-Christian eschatological line, and all atomically composed materials contained in our universe.
The contents of this book will show us the opposing, unacceptable and imprecise claims within the Quran and Islamic texts which exposes Islam’s conceited prophet for the deceit he was.
The purpose of this book is not intended to demonize Muhammad Ibn-Abdullah for entertainment’s sake, nor to incite unfounded bigotry, or to facilitate any hate crimes.
Contrary to the growing perspective that all Muslims are diabolical people, the truth is that most have only a very superficial understanding of their religion, the Quran, and perceive their faith only as a cultural attachment or a part of their own identity.
However, for Muslims Islam transcends the boundaries of their allegiances, especially the country of their citizenship - Muslim first, western citizen second.
Yet, despite professing to be the embodiment of all things Islamic, quite truthfully, western or moderate Muslims wouldn’t know the difference between a Quran and phonebook.
Many western Muslims are too secular to grasp the true totalitarian tenets of the Quran and do not perceive Islam as a legitimate threat to the west. Of course, this only applies to those who do not willingly engage in Taqiyya (sanctioned lying).
However, there are many who secretively desire to usher in a revival of an Islamic Caliphate, but prefer the zealots do the dirty work for them.
Hell is empty and all the devils are here, you infidels.
Although very informational, I eventually had to speed through the rest of this book to get through the author's obsession with Muhammad's sexual fetishes and obsession. Ok, it was clear - the prophet Muhammad, who was a very insecure individual, was crazy and sick in the head. Well-noted. But the time and description and detail of such behavior became monotonous. The book itself could've been much shorter and still would've gotten the point across. Due to the sheer volume of example the author shared, and backed up - I still give it three stars. A lot of hard research was done, but instead of just demonstrating the theological errors in relation to Muhammad's thinking, the author's wording became too prejudicial. And that says a lot coming from me, because I do not blanketly trust anything about the Islamic religion. But the language and writing ends up insulting and dehumanizing, which I think the author themselves is capable of rising above. Worth the read if you want to know what drove Muhammad's thinking, but perhaps the obsession with improper behavior could be focused on a little less.
this book is a way to spread hate and stereotypes about Islam. the author suffers from severe hate towards Islam. most of the quot are falsely translated or taken out of its context. the Author uses vile and disgusting words and hateful statements that are spread over the internet. many of the events or stories are explained according to today's rationale without taking into considerations the history and the traditions people had before which reflects the lack of knowledge that the author has
Very nice book but at the same time it's an biased opinion but it's true what's inside the book. The people who says this books sucks are Islamic liberals aka the protectors of Islamic Terrorist Fuck you People Your God was an pedo and a rapist what i could expect from rest of you
The author begins this book by making rebuttals against claims made against them being racist, Islamophobic or bigoted. The claims are then instantiated by poorly articulated reasons the author has previously been told. I'd like to argue that J.K. Sheindlin is in fact racist, Islamophobic and bigoted.
The author begins the book introducing the word disbeliever and distorting the concept of Islam to mean submission to Muhammad pbuh instead of God. The author supports this claim because Muhammad pbuh is known as the only intercessor for mankind. If such a prophetic claim is enough to distort the main idea of the faith, than Christianity claiming Jesus is god starts to make much less sense for Christians.
The author ends the opening by stating not all Muslims are terrorists but all terrorists are Muslims. The fourth estate agrees with you but objectivity does not.
The first chapter is a reiteration that Muhammad pbuh is a tyrant in the Muslim world and anyone who doesn't listen to him is killed. Ignoring the fact that the author is being quite hypocritical whilst ignoring her own religion and the consequences of denying God's word, the author claims that the way Muslims operate are more like a cult than a religion. The author wholly ignores Muhammad's pbuh character and his operation based solely on the word of God. Similar to liberal secularists, the author doesn't have a problem with Muhammad pbuh but rather the tyranny of God's word.
The interesting thing about the Christian perspective is that it disregards most of the Abrahamic covenant with the excuse that Jesus Christ, a manifestation of God himself, brought a new covenant that allows them to be saved if they accept Jesus Christ as god's only son and are baptized. The author's main argument thus far has been that this religion of Islam seems to be nothing more than the exaltation of Muhammad pbuh, but that is the exact claim that Muslims make against Christians. We don't believe Jesus Christ ever claimed to be god.
Matthew 19
16. And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17. And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
In Islam, Jesus Christ, is the messiah sent to the people of Israel to bring them to the truth. He proclaimed the idea that Prophet Muhammad pbuh proclaimed, which is that there is only one true God. The same libel that the author uses to smear Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is then turned around to exalt Prophet Jesus (pbuh).
The next chapter is mostly a rambling about what the author perceives to be Muslims. Often using derogatory adjectives to describe most Muslims as extremists whilst the western reformed Muslims who've contributed positively to society to be, acceptable. How can the author argue that they aren't Islamaphobic? It would be more accurate and truthful to claim that yes you do fear Islam as an ideology but you feel as if it's warranted. The same logic can also be used against the author and their faith. What would you consider true Christians to be? Muslims are told to identify only as Muslims in particular to reject sects of faith. Muslims, despite being sinners, will still identify as Muslim if they believe in one God and that Prophet Muhammad pbuh was his messenger. It's this latter part of the last sentence that offends the author so much.
The author backs up these claims with references to the Quran referring to revelations that came to the Prophet to standup and fight and even take the offensive to regain their power after they were exiled from their land. This information isn't at all new or controversial but has been reignited by modernists who stand on moral high grounds living in secularist societies. This disproportionately can be see with Palestine and Gaza situation where any armed resistance is considered terrorism and mass killings of children is justified due to anecdotal accounts and feelings of whomever has an opinion.
There have been many intelligent people who have studied the life of the Prophet pbuh and have come to quite different conclusions. Some of those people include: Martin Lings, Rene Guenon and Frithjof Schuon. I mentioned that there are quite a few novel arguments that have arisen against the Prophet pbuh. These same arguments are all made by people who have made their careers on criticizing Islam. They are driven by fame and money, not truth.
The next argument the author claims is that Islam promotes extremism and that the highest status for a Muslim is to be a martyr. The author continues down the slippery slope to argue that Muslims will than look for reasons to martyr just to fit that category.
Quran 17:33 (Surah Al-Isra, 17:33): "And do not take a life, which Allah has made sacred, except in the course of justice. If anyone is killed unjustly, We have given his heir authority [to demand retaliation or to forgive]. But let him not exceed the limit in the matter of taking life. He is aided [by the law]."
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: If anyone travels on a road in search of knowledge, Allah will cause him to travel on one of the roads of Paradise. The angels will lower their wings in their great pleasure with one who seeks knowledge, the inhabitants of the heavens and the Earth and the fish in the deep waters will ask forgiveness for the learned man. The superiority of the learned man over the devout is like that of the moon, on the night when it is full, over the rest of the stars. The learned are the heirs of the Prophets, and the Prophets leave neither dinar nor dirham, leaving only knowledge, and he who takes it takes an abundant portion.
Narrated by Abu Huraira, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "He who treads the path in search of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him the path to Paradise. The angels lower their wings over the seeker of knowledge, being pleased with what he does. The inhabitants of the heavens and the earth and even the fish in the depth of the oceans seek forgiveness for him. The superiority of the learned man over the devout is like that of the full moon to the rest of the stars (i.e., in brightness)."
Narrated by Abu Musa, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:"The example of guidance and knowledge with which Allah has sent me is like abundant rain falling on the earth, some of which was fertile soil that absorbed rain-water and brought forth vegetation and grass in abundance. (And) another portion of it was hard and held the rain-water and Allah benefited the people with it and they utilized it for drinking, making their animals drink from it, and for irrigation of the land for cultivation. (And) a portion of it was barren which could neither hold the water nor bring forth vegetation (then that land gave no benefits). The first is the example of the person who comprehends Allah's religion and gets benefit (from the knowledge), which Allah has revealed through me (the Prophet) and learns and then teaches others. The last example is that of a person who does not care for it and does not take Allah's guidance revealed through me (He is like that barren land.)"(Sahih al-Bukhari)
Narrated by Abdullah ibn Amr, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah does not take away knowledge by snatching it from the people, but He takes it away by taking away (the lives of) the scholars till none of the scholars stays alive. Then the people will take ignorant ones as their leaders, who, when asked to deliver religious verdicts, will issue them without knowledge, the result being that they will go astray and will lead others astray."(Sahih al-Bukhari)
The author claims that martyrdom is the absolute goal of Muslims and due to this they are easily influenceable to commit atrocities. The author continue make false causation fallacies to illustrate that Muslims are dangerous and at any time turn into extremists, when Islam as a religion promotes nothing like that. The same author that argues that Muslims are likely to become militants, is the same author that lives in a country that promotes and exalts militants that serve for the cause of that country.
This is deceptively a terrible view of Muslims. Not only does the author proport that Muslims have an affinity for making bombs, but also that they are like a ticking time bomb until they do so. This is a disgusting over exaggeration meant to fear monger and slander the religion as a whole. Think about it honestly if you live in America, it it more likely that we have an Islamist extremist do something horrific in the states or is it more likely that a teenager shoots up a school and is labeled “Mentally unwell”. Perhaps we should take a hard look at our own ideologies before making vast generalizations about others. Sure this is an anecdotal point, but every point the author made was anecdotal and my claim has far more evidence.
We then move into the author's “analysis” of the Quran and Islamic history. The author establishes that a truth is a truth and a lie is a lie. Thank you. We now move into the analysis of the Quran and a very overused argument that the Quran does not have enough “love”. I took some time to do some basic data analysis for myself regarding the Quran and the King James Version Bible.
Interestingly enough, love is barely used across either text. 645 out of 790k words for the Bible and 43 out of 151k from the Quran, less than .1% for either. I used the SentimentIntensityAnalyzer from nltk.sentiment across both the texts and it turns out the sentiment breakdown looks like this.
Quran Positive Sentiment: 47.67% Negative Sentiment: 31.65% Neutral Sentiment: 20.67%
Other than really elementary analysis of the text and jumping to absurd conclusions, the author claims that the bible's accounts of violence and wars are only descriptive and not prescriptive. The Christian stance is that Jesus was a man of peace who'd only turn the cheek if struck. This, as the pinnacle of modern Christian attitude, claims that forgiveness is always the answer. This idea that acceptance and love is the only way, even in the way of evil, is a distorted truth that not even Jesus believed in. The crusades are the perfect example of this idea.
The author claims the Quran by itself isn't useful without the Hadith. This is the author's personal opinion and quite frankly almost no Muslims will believe this. It's true that the Quran isn't a chronologically told children's story but instead a succinct and efficient text that is the Criterion for humanity in 6300 verses as opposed to the nearly 30,000 verses in the Bible. The author uses this to assume that the Quran must be written by many authors and that it's a plagiarized version of the Bible.
Author is really upset that God claims that dogs, pigs and alcohol are unclean. Since dogs are man's best friend in the west, the author digs into this issue claiming that Muslims will attack you if you walk a dog. Anyway, Muslims actually do believe that dogs are unclean and that if you have a dog inside your homes it prevents Angels from visiting. There are many Muslim dog owners and the Muslims that take this hadith to heart, keep their dogs outside as guard dogs. No Muslims attack dog owners, but I'm sure if one ever does, the author will put it in their new book.
The author makes an appeal to Russian morality for banning one of the most known Muslim Hadiths.
The author argues that Tasfir, or scholarly analysis of the Quran and Hadith, proves that this is a cult and here are the cult leaders. I'm not sure why having authorities who specialize and devote their lives to studying a specific field, also known as experts, are evidence for cultist behavior but I digress.
Abridged biography of Prophet Muhammad pbuh almost identical to the Wikipedia page about Muhammad pbuh with clearly biased vocabulary. Author's very upset that Muhammad pbuh did not turn the other cheek after being violently expelled from his home. Author claims that the call to prayer, fasting and ego death was used to keep the Muslims in line. I suppose these commonalities between the Prophet Muhammad pbuh and other spiritual figures in history are only a coincidence and only the Prophet pbuh is using these ideas for his cult.
The author continues to establish Islam as a cult by relating the idea that abiding by God's moral law is the same as fascism. Perhaps, but your issue isn't with Islam, it's with God. If you don't want to have rules for marriage, war, social life, and others then of course you'd want to accept the distorted version of Christianity. Love & Peace for all, not really though.
Warfare The author argues that the warfare conducted by the Muslims after they came into power was immoral. The Muslims killed Jewish men in tribes who broke treaties with the Muslims and started expanding, taking the women and children as captives. We've established that morality for the author is black and white. Violence is bad. The author would never condone or use violence in any case whatsoever.
Aisha (ra) The wife of the Prophet was too young and they consummated their marriage while she was too young. This argument is made by all modern critics of Islam. Although there's debate on the age of Aisha ra, I'd argue there was nothing immoral at the time. We, in the west, including Muslims live under the law in which we all agree that the age of consent is 18. Any deviance from this is wrong but judging a society 1400 years ago by this standard is also wrong. I'd argue, why is this a modern argument against the Prophet Muhammad pbuh and Islam? Why in almost 1400 years was this not an issue until now? I don't believe society and the world accepted marriage between adults and children. I believe the Prophet pbuh married a young woman completely ready for marriage who became a pillar in understanding and spreading Islam as you can read from her many many Hadiths, including the one you quoted.
Salvation Author argues that because Muhammad pbuh didn't claim to be saved in certainty, that he's fraudulent. The prophet pbuh claims that only God knows this. Really strange false equivalency.
Jihad Like most Islamaphobes, the author claims Jihad means holy war against the non believers and also reverts to a previous verse to justify violence against nonbelievers. Not much to comment about there, just a plainly false belief about Muslims.
Greater Jihad (Jihad al-Akbar): This refers to the internal, spiritual struggle within oneself to live a righteous life according to Islamic principles. It involves the effort to improve one's character, resist temptations, and strive for personal excellence.
Lesser Jihad (Jihad al-Asghar): This refers to the external, physical struggle. It can include self-defense, defending the rights of the oppressed, and, in some interpretations, military actions taken in self-defense or in defense of the Muslim community.
Author explores if Prophet Muhammad pbuh even existed Author does psychoanalysis of the prophet Muhammad pbuh Explores that he was an orphan Explores that he needed a mom Explores that he might have been short Explores why he makes claims that are perceived as sexist by the author Explores that he was needy Explores that he was arrogant probably because he was again, short Explores his claims about clothes being related to fashion and not divine Explores that he suffered from mental illness because he received revelation Explores he was obsessively clean Explores other mental illnesses that haven't been listed yet Concludes that Muhammad pbuh committed the largest undocumented genocide Explores that he was superstitious and had lots of fears too Explores he would count how many times he would say God's name (Dhikr) Explores again that he was very clean Explores that complying with God's word is not important as life Explores that the Prophet pbuh cared about his food and liquid intake Explores that he was superstitious
Concludes, in a hysterically awful case, that the Prophet PBUH is not divine but instead, he is a superstitious, OCD, mentally ill, too clean, too needy, too short, too mother-needing, too narcisitic, and too compliant to God's word.
This is the standard islamaphobic perspective.
The author wrote over a hundred pages to make vast generalizations without any historical evidence. In a few short, and quite frankly terrible, ideas covered the totality of the Prophet pbuh's life with contradictory conclusions. The author began her claim asserting that there were many different authors to only conclude after psychoanalysis that those multiple authors were just inside the Prophet's pbuh head. Ironic, contradictory and answers no questions about the miracle of the Quran. In all the author's efforts to paint the Prophet pbuh in a terrible light, it only adds to the miracle that was the Prophet pbuh. Instead of making credible arguments, the author comes off as an angry separated spouse with baseless complaints.
I'd recommend reading the Sealed Nectar for an objective retelling of the Prophet's pbuh life. The same way you wouldn't read a biography about Jesus Christ from a Satanist, I wouldn't recommend you read this book. This is the standard for the Islamophobic perspective.
I am certainly not impressed how Muslims view the world in relation to women and Jihad But the author makes such spurious claims that Mohammed did not exists and then tries him for various crimes
Regretfully this book seems to be gibberish and not factual If one is to criticise Islam do it rationally. The title made me think this would be a interesting book but alas it was not and I found it boring
This book is a very precise and engaging text that is incredibly well-researched and documented. There is no wiggle-room for doubt about the Islamic foundations being formed around sheer madness and idiocy...and, dare I say, evil?
This book is based on hatred and is an effort to take revenge without having the knowledge to write the true facts about the topic in question by JK Sheindlin
A great book that really cuts through the usual politically correct caution surrounding Islam to produce a fair and psychologically astute assessment of it's founder. The book very clearly shows that Muhammad was not only a false prophet but additionally a rapist, pedophile and psychopath amongst a bevy of other psychological conditions. Not only that but I enjoyed the contemplations on whether Muhammad actually existed at all which a strong case can be made for.
The book does get spoiled partially by the lamentable amount of proofreading. I found more grammatical errors in this book then every other book I have logged on this site. Additionally, I found the author's constant western , Jewish and Christian appraising to get incessantly annoying and it can make him seem biased at points. Great book regardless and it makes me interested to see more from this author.
