Taboo. Wrong. Off limits.
I know the drill. I know the rules.
But damn, if he doesn’t get under my skin.
And into my bed.

There’s no reason for a woman like me,
Successful, established, independent,
To ever be sleeping with a younger man.
A younger man with a hard, rugged, sculptured body.
A body that can go all night.
All night.

I can’t resist, can’t turn him down.
Can’t walk away.

I was already too open to him without meaning to be, as if he’d reached his hands into my chest and pried it open while I was knocked out on the table. And by the time I came to, I was permanently altered and couldn’t do a damn thing about it.

Loved this one for the most part. Chase was super hot! Loved him the most! He knew what he wanted and didn't care what anyone else thought. Jillian kind of got on my nerves with all the drama and the age difference thing toward the end. I felt she didn't deserve Chase at one point.
I'm glad it all worked out at the end.
I'll be looking for more books by Bree Dahlia!

There is a theme that is not used a lot in romance reads... the older heroine and the much younger hero, but it is one that I find intriguing. Given that the biggest gripe we normally have our about heroine is the lack of maturity, I often wonder why this is not explored more.

With Legal, we are introduced to Jillian and Chase. Jillian is focused on her career and really isn’t looking for anything, not really a one-night stand or true love. Divorced and living mostly within the walls of her offi

3.5 stars. Young man (24), older woman (38) romance. I usually love these kind of books but the heroine in this one was just too insecure for me. She has this young stud, a music teacher, who worships her and we have to go through pages of her worrying about being called his mom in public, what will her step-son in college think about it, then thinks about getting back with her ex, etc., etc. I'm getting too old for these type of books--I'd just count my blessings and screw myself till death do ...more

Legal... First off let me say this It was an amazing book to read. When you first start reading it comes off a bit slow. But as the story progresses it starts to pick up a bit of speed. Eventually it levels out to being about medium speed for a read. Now to get to the point The drama is real. The romance is strong. That need to feel comfortable in your own skin shows through with Jillian through out the book. Their connection is so strong that you are thinking throughout the whole story come on ...more

Jillian is going on 40. She grew up fast. She also learned what happens when you fall in love with the wrong guy. To Jillian that means loving someone younger that you. Because let's face it her father was that man and did her mom wrong. It left emotional scars deep.
Chase is the perfect man. He's a sexy musician and a school teacher. Only problem is he is also the younger man. He knows what he wants. When he sees Jillian for the first time, he knows it's her. But the thing is, he knows it's goin

Bree Dahlia is a brand new author for me and someone to be on the lookout for. I am popping author cherries left and right these days and this is just another on my watch list. This book was a refreshing, quick read that left a big ol' smile on my face.

Fun, light, sexy, and sweet, Legal is a book full of steam and laughs with a dash of angst. Once I started, I didn't put this book down until I had devoured it... cover to cover. And the feels are real... I laughed, smiled, swooned, and fe

In our society age is everything. From the start we are taught age means different things, different boundaries and so forth. So what happens when you live your life according to all the rules that come with it. And one day you find that your life wasn't very fulfilling. You play by the rules and yet you don't know what it's like to live. So one day you decide to say what the heck and you let loose. Jillian is a divorcee drowning herself in work to avoid her empty house. Her ex and her son both gone- she finds work to fill her time. As she tells her best friend, she doesn't need a man.

And she doesn't. No, she doesn't. Just because she may have done the dumbest thing in her life doesn't show she needs a man. Though her lack of a man was definitely to blame for said mistake...

This mistake has a name. Chase. The obviously younger man is named Chase. Her big mistake is named Chase. Ar

I was given free copy for an honest review. I am so in love with chase, a sexy as hell young man who knows what he wants and goes for it. Caring, sweet, and funny. Jillian is a divorcee who is on her own for the fist time. She works to much and doesn't take anytime for herself, (the typical mom trap). When she meets Chase the connections is instant. Watching him on stage perform is electric. Jillian's soon to be sister in-law Perry meddles a lot and it's so comical how she operates. She is much ...more

Funny and sexy all wrapped up in one great debut!
Jillian — LOVED her character!! She was a hardworking woman that needed to put herself first for once! What better person to let her guard down with than Chase? I felt their connection so I rooted for him from the very beginning! Of course, I understood her hesitation, but he was so SEXY that I also understood why she needed to GO FOR IT!

With genuinely laugh-out-loud moments, LEGAL was a book I truly enjoyed reading! I cannot wait to see what Br

What happens when you are a 30 something year old women, who is starting over in the dating world after a divorce and an empty nest??? Jillian is about to find out that and a lot more!!

Jillian never imagined being divorced and all alone. Her husband is off my his new girlfriend and their son is away in a college program in Italy. Jillian is out with her friend (who drags her out under protest) and meets Chase. Their chemistry is instant, but keep in mind, Jillian is pout of practice whe

This is one of those books that has a very realistic feel and is so easy to ride along the journey of the story right with our main character, Jillian. She makes a very unlike-her, spontaneous decision to have a one-night stand that rocks her world. Not only is it the most satisfying world-tilting sex she has ever had, but it was with a much younger man... so young, she fears he may not be legal. As a divorcee that hasn't dated since becoming single after a long-time passionless marriage, doing

What's Good: older woman & younger man hooking up for hot sex- what could be better? At least in theory. Story flows on a pretty even keel once it gets going, mostly via Jill's inner monologues about... everything. Despite the overload on angst it's generally amusing and does get pretty funny at times.

What's Bad: takes forever to get started. Spent too much time on doses of angst and things I guess the author was cute before final

Legal is really fantastic!!! Not only are there very strong characters but the back characters are amazing too!! Her BFF is just too much!!! I don’t normally like being in the characters head too much but I found Jillian so funny it was ok. It’s not overkill…..there is conversation…..but being in her head was a trip!

This was an amazing read. I've never read an older woman/younger man as good as Legal. Chase is 15 years younger than Jillian but he doesn't care. He sees a beautiful woman and he goes after what he wants. Jillian sees a sexy, young man who she has no business dating as he's only 3 years older than her stepson. This is the main issue throughout the whole book but it was so beautifully and thoughtfully written. It was a wonderful read and although a second book follows, this can easily be read as ...more

bsolutely loved this book. Chase and Jillian had an age difference, Jillian being the older woman. However Chase never had a problem with it. Jillian did have hang-ups about it. The story is about their journey in learning about each other and about themselves. It was written in a way that was so realistic. It is very well written. The angst Jillian had, the patience Chase had. It is a wonderful romantic book. I look forward to book two. I voluntarily received an Advanced Readers Copy of this bo ...more
This was my first novel by Bree Dahlia, and I have to say that she really took an interesting turn on this one! It was fun, it was cute, and it really didn't matter the age difference between the heroine and the hero. This was a novel that I didn't really have to think too much about. While it wasn't predictable there were definitely moments that left me scratching my head, and wondering what would happen next. The characters were fun, outgoing, and flowed easily with the story line.

This review of Legal by Bree Dahlia is for The Sweet Spot Sisterhood Blog. I give it 5 Stars. Legal isn't your typical romance. In most romances the man is typically older or the male and female leads are similar in age. The fact that Legal is the opposite is what draws me to it. I love the idea of an older woman and younger man. Then when you throw in the fact that he plays music, that is just the icing on the cake! Yum! It is well worth the read.

I'm the author and I cannot wait to share this book with you! This was my first time exploring an older woman/younger man relationship, but it won't be my last. It was way too much fun! Unlike some of my more intense romances, Legal is light and flirtatious, and it kept me smiling from beginning to end. I loved everything about writing this story and I hope it shows.

The heroine, Jillian, is a strong, self-sufficient woman who can take care of herself, thank you very much. Her life is perfect exa

I will say this right now, the theme with an older woman and a younger man is not used enough! I simply love it.
Chase what can I say he was a man who when he want's something he fights for it! Sweet, and sexy he was perfect for Jillian.

Jillian is a women who is divorced and is only focusing on her career. Going into another relationship is the last thing she wants, that is until she meets Chase.

I actually rate this book, 3.5 stars.

I don't know why it just didn't work for me, so I'd probably rather talk about the things I liked about this book.

I like the way how Chase flirts like a man despite his age.

I like the way he charms his way to Jillian's heart. He is observant and thoughtful and romantic.

I like the way Jillian thinks and how she firmly stands on her decision. I didn't find her stubbornness annoying.

Sexy, funny and cute!

Finally! A book where the female isn't twenty. I love how Jillian is 38 and Chase is 23. These two characters are wonderful, she is strong and sexy, while he is sweet and loveable.
Jillian has a big problem with their age difference where Chase doesn't. He knows what he wants and the age difference isn't phasing him at all. Can he convince her that age doesn't matter?
Not only are the main characters great so are the supporting characters. Perry is a trip and I found myself l

This was a fun and fast paced read. I enjoyed the premise of the older woman and younger man. There were a few times I wanted to push Jill and say “Go for it already!” But the author kept the faith and the pace and in the end it was just right. If it had been rushed then the bigger picture would have been lost. I do wish the author would have taken it a step further to include Daniel in the mix and see how the three interacted. But it was definitely a good read. The sex was hot and heavy but so ...more

It was really good! My only issue, and I know it was necessary for the suspense in the story, was how adamant Jillian was for soooooooo long about the age thing! Of course, that had to do with her son being close to Chase's age. But still! Also, hoping for a sequel? You can find my full review on Lisa Loves Literature if you go HERE.

Bree Dahlia is an unconventional romance junkie. She loves reading it but adores writing it even more. She favors themes of friendship, forgiveness, and unconditional love with alpha characters and eccentric tastes.

She holds degrees that she does nothing with and has experi
