This book is really good. The cast of characters are believable, impressive and engaging, pent up desires, secrets, intense and picturesque vivid descriptions. The plot was very interesting to see unfold. A captivating well written read by a genuinely gifted author.

Superheroes; kick-ass heroine; scorching hot alpha male!!!

Ilsa is a very smart doctor, working with neuroscience research, trying to save dogs and their owners of the pain of missing animals. She doesn't work with humans, and she doesn't want to work with them. When one of her friends shows up asking for a favor, with a farfe

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Although there was a prequel, I can attest that this book is a standalone – I haven’t read that prequel in this series, YET. Because I will! What a ride. The group of men “sent back in time to save the future”, will make you want to send out hugs to all. This story is about Garrett Fox and Ilsa Blaine. Ilsa is the doctor responsible for the tech inside Garrett (and the rest of his team) although at the beginning of the book she doe ...more

Fun, action packed romance. Fans of the Avengers and X-Men will love this book. The author has created a very scary world and her characters are the hope for making it a better place. In this story we have Doctor Ilsa Blaine who’s work has been perverted by the bad guys and whose help the good guys need to fix it and Garrett Fox who can kill with a touch. Garrett is an interesting guy. He can’t touch or be touched and it affects his view of the world. Ilsa refuses to give up on him and that may ...more

What an awesome new series!! Super-enhanced soldiers, time travel, evil villains and cutting edge science all combine into a wonderfully crafted new world! The story is complex but not su much that you get lost in jargon. The characters are wonderfully believable with real and raw emotions. Action adventure at its best!

Ilsa is such a smart cookie but down to earth at the same time and Garret is alpha man to the core but also incredibly fragile at the same time!

I need to go back and reread this masterpiece of worldbuilding. Heather Long has outdone herself on creating a viable sci-fi time-travel superhero romance world. I really enjoyed the chemistry and banter between Garrett and Isla. The book captivated me from the first sentence onward. I cannot wait to read book 2 when it comes out.

I have to say I’m really on the fence on this book. On the one hand I enjoyed the story and the world HL built here but it also crossed a line that I have a major problem with.
That’s the most confusing thing about HL books, reading her Always a Marine series or her Special forces/ brotherhood protectors series and the thing that stands head and shoulders above many other books like this out there is the honorable actions and enormous respect the Hero’s have and show towards all the women around
Superheroes! Timetravel! Sizzling hot romance! Seriously, what's not to love about this? Can't wait to read the rest of the series...
ETA: thanks to the author who gives us men who are no d-bags... even if they are growly and possessive!

Judas Contact is the first book in the Boomer series and even though there is a prequel to this series I assure you both books can be read as a standalone. Now, sci-fiction is not really my thing. The only book I have read about time travel is Rubinrot and the only sci-fiction movie I fell in love with is Dr. Who, but I couldn’t put away this book until I finished. I needed to know what would happen to the hero, the scientific findings of the heroine, the way the author painted the future for hu ...more
I received an eARC of this book from Barclay Publicity in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of this review.

Well, that was not what I was expecting! The Judas Contact by Heather Long is a sexy, super-charged read about a team of superheroes from the future and a doctor in the present time who might be an asset to them. Dr. Ilsa Blaine is on the cutting edge of neuroscience, having designed a chip that interacts with brain signals in dogs, virtually eliminating th/>Well,

The Judas Contact was an action-packed thriller that I received an early release copy of in exchange for an honest review. It is the first book in a new series by Heather Long. Ilsa is a scientist working on a chip designed to help owners find their missing pets. She has had some success, but, like all scientists there has been some failure along with those successes. She is contacted by an old roommate, Rory, whom she has not talked to in quite some time. Rory is seeking Isla out because she ha ...more

I've really been in the mood to read something with all the scientific- genetically-modified-human-experimenting thing lately, so when I saw that The Judas Contact and realized that it was a little like that, I immediately wanted to read it! It was always in the back of my book mind and I wanted to ditch my due blog books as soon as hit my kindle, I was good though, but as soon as my schedule allowed it, I picked this baby up and devoured it. It was so excellent, I loved it, and it satisfied my need to ...more

The Judas Contact by Heather Long this is the first book in the Boomer's series. There is a ton of story in this book. I felt slightly over whelmed with the amount of information I got. However I really loved this story! Really great ideas and I want more, I just think this book suffers from having to get us the readers into a new world, with five men, all different personalities, and then there is a love interest, lot of information for one book. I am sure the next one will move along better th ...more

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. When I first read the synopsis, all I could think about was the movie "Terminator." Thankfully it wan't similar, the men are not made out of machinery. They've just been implanted with a chip in their brain. Oh, and they each have some freaky powers. I loved the idea of this story- that it wasn't alien based, but futuristic men instead. I found their mortality a bit odd, but hey, they're superheroes. I'd recommend this book to mature readers 18+ due to explicit c ...more

This book is the first book in the Boomers series. This book is about Ilsa Blaine, codename Doc, and Garrett Fox, code name the Viper. Ilsa is a scientist that the boomers think can help them out. So the boomers make plans to meet her for lunch and see if she will help them out. With the team in place to make sure everyone stays safe, Rory, an old friend of Ilsa and a member of the Boomers to go see Ilsa at work so they can then go to lunch and catch up on old times, well and also Rory will be a ...more

I myself do not touch alot of sci fi romance much anymore except by a author or two. Was not sure about this one until I entered in this author creating one fantastic new premise with these characters that bring this story to life. Thanks to her development in microchips it will open up new doors with more than she ever dreamed too. Ilsa will have her hands full to starting with Garret but he too will be doing the same. She gives you several in here to salivate over in fact. What I mean by the k ...more

I can never praise enough Ms. Long world building skills and the Judas Contact does not disappoint. A tale where future and present collide, we have to strong main characters" Dr. Ilsa Blaine and Garrett. Ilsa is a doctor, brilliant, driven and little bit crazy. She is a strong character, which I really love. And there is Garret, he comes from the future, carrying a lot of pain and fears. He comes to protect her, but is she who changes him more. And there is action, a lot of it, which I also lik ...more

I'm not usually a sci-fi fan but the blurb of this story intrigued me enough to warrant taking a chance & I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed this story & my heart broke for the idea of someone in a tactile world not being able to touch & be touched in return. I found the basis original & although it's the 1st book in the series I think there must be at least a prequel out there as there is a relationship that you seem to arrive in the middle of. That said, in no way was my enjoymen ...more

This is the first book by Heather Long that I have read. Now this book has Hero’s, time travel, science fiction and romance. All of that I love to watch in the movies however reading it for me can be all over the place. My mind has a hard time keeping up with where they are or who they should. However I did enjoy this read. Now I won’t spill any spoilers but I will say this book is work the time to read. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

USA Today bestselling author Heather Long likes long walks in the park, science fiction, superheroes, Marines, and men who aren’t douche bags. She writes snarky women tangled in romance as hot as Texas summertime. From paranormal historical westerns to contemporary military romance, Heather might switch genres, but one thing is true in all of her stories—the characters drive the books. When she’s ...more
