5 - "You're here, so I am home." Stars!

Naima Simone managed to leave scorch marks on my Kindle with the third book in her Bachelor Auction Series. The chemistry between Aiden Kent and Noelle Rana was that hot!

There story was a kind of mix of second-chance, with a bit of step-brother, and a side order of familial drama thrown in for good measure. And the author got the balance just right for me, I am not a huge fan of secondary drama coming from abhorrent family members, and although it was a par
My review:

I forgot that I had book 1 in this series in my TBR, but decided to dive right into this book. I don't think that I will be spoiling anything in the previous books-since they're different couples.
I really like the premise. Yes, the H Aiden and the h Noelle were step siblings. Aiden's mother had been like a mother to young Noelle. Noelle's father was a scoundrel and more.
Before the book begins, Aiden's mother had passed away from cancer. Noelle's dad and brother (Tony) had stripped Ai
This was an emotional, sexy, hot romance.

Most of the time, the hero in the book is the one who has to convince me to root for him. In The Bachelor's Promise, it was the total opposite for me. I already knew Aiden, therefore was already looking forward to his hea. Noelle, on the other had, I wasn't so sure about. I'm so glad she changed my mind.
Aiden fought it for as long as he could, but not even the past could change the fact that Noelle was his. Noelle didn't want Aiden, she just need his help. At least that's what she keeps telling

I loved this story! Sizzling hot and heartwarming are the first words that come to mind when I think about this one. Naima Simone has given us a story that you won't forget. Aiden and Noelle have history. Painful gut wrenching history but a promise Aiden made to his dying mother won't allow him to turn Noelle away. And if he's truthful, he couldn't. The fierce attraction between them is still there but getting past what her family has done will not be easy. He can only hope they will be able to ...more

Wow. Simone never ceases to amaze me. Yet again, another hot and heartfelt romance with enough wit and charm to keep me turning the pages till there was nothing left.

Noelle is the kind of heroine I adore the most. Having overcome heavy hardship, she rises above it all and becomes a strong, independent woman, refusing to let life swallow her up and crush her dreams. No, she goes for them anyway, even if that means injury to her pride in order to broach a man from her haunted past who still holds

The Bachelor's Promise was such a good read.

The storyline was entertaining, emotional and kept me turning the pages late into the night.
The characters were complex, passionate and had previous hurts holding them back from revealing the real person behind the front they allowed people to see.

I loved watching Aiden and Noelle's relationship develop. I enjoyed seeing them battle the love/hate emotions they struggled with, especially Aiden.

They had amazing chemistry and once Aiden opened his

I devoured this one in one sitting! THE BACHELOR'S PROMISE is the third in author Naima Simone's Bachelor Auction, but the first one I've read. I loved this one even without the backstories of the others, but you can bet I'll be going back and reading them now!

Aiden was the perfect hero, reluctant though he professed to be. A faithful and loving son of a single mother who struggled to provide for him, who then in turn grew up to work hard to make something of himself. Now he is the founder and C

From the very begin I was hooked on this story! I’ve read the first two in this series so I was excited to read Aiden’s HEA and I couldn’t wait to see who would be his heroine. I was rooting for Noelle from the very being because she was just so bad ass. I felt for her having to deal with the sins of her brother and father being reflected on her. Aiden is determined to keep his distance from everything he blames for causing his mother heartache in her final moments in this world. But a promise m ...more

Oh the tangled web we weave…

We’ve all heard the saying: ‘Like oil and water’. Two things that just don’t mix. While this is very true for Aiden and Noelle, that saying of oil and water applies for different reasons. One because the passion and attraction between these two burned like oil that’s been set alight and two because this book will leave you a heaving, panting, wet mess!

This book combines the tropes of second-chance romance, enemies to lovers and friends to lovers. To sat I was highly e

I read the books entirely out of order, but it's done! Dusted!

Now that the haze of lust and sex had been lifted from my eyes (unlike the case with the other books in the series...), I can safely say that this was still a good read, but perhaps not as solid a read as the others in the series.

The characterisation of the main characters were spot-on. Aiden was scarred, bitter, and completely unable to bring himself to trust Noelle. Understandably really, given that she was related to two men who ha

The Bachelor’s Promise by Naima Simone has some serious sexual tension that will heat up your e-reader! Even though the sexual tension is high, the characters share a painful history together that must be dealt with, before anything good can come from it.

Once upon a time, Noelle Rana and her family inserted themselves directly into Aiden and his mother’s world. Her father and his mother hooked up, even though the Rana family was bad news. When Aiden’s mother died, everything went south and Noell

"He'll never trust the daughter of his enemy." So he thought. He never had his resolved tested this way before and with something that he wanted very much. I had fun with this one. More than the other two books in this series. The whole family drama, second chance, never again, deathbed promise all makes for an intense read with two characters that just could not figure out if what they was doing was what they wanted.

Noelle came across as a bit of pain. She had to work hard to get my vote. Aide

Talk about trauma, angst, turmoil and drama - this story is packed with it! Aiden Kent was Noelle Rana's first love and his mother, Caroline, was like a mother to her, too. Unfortunately Noelle's father and older brother's actions following the tragic death of Caroline mean that Aiden no longer wants anything to do with her or her family. However, a deathbed promise brings the two together again and their mutual attraction is even more powerful than ever! Can he overcome the walls he's built to ...more
This was such a good book! I really liked the first one in the series, Beauty and the Bachelor about Lucas & Sydney. This one is about his business partner and friend, Aiden. Noelle is the daughter of his late mother's deadbeat boyfriend. Plus she has a deadbeat brother, so along the way, despite his feelings, he's lumped her in as the same. This one tugged and pulled on all the feelings. Very likable heroine who I immediately felt empathy and a hero who is strong and fighting vulnerability. Alt ...more

It's quite common to dislike a guy when you first start a book and then gradually fall in love with him over the course of the book. The same always doesn't hold true for the female characters. In this book though, I loved Aiden from the beginning, probably because I was already crazy over him after Beauty and the Bachelor. Noelle on the other, I had a hard time liking her in the first couple of chapters, especially because of what happened in the past and the way she re-entered Aiden's life. ...more

***ARC Provided by the Publisher and NetGalley***

I am not able to read this one...the punctuation is awful and I find the heroine to be very annoying.

Yes, I realize it is an ARC...however, the prevalence of the "-" where it is not necessary (an average of 3 to 4 times per page) was just too distracting when added to the fact that I was not able to engage, even a little bit, with the heroine.

I ceased the struggle at 27%.

Hands down, the best book in the series!
Oh my effing god, what a ride this book is!
I must admit that I am a fussy reader and yet this book got me spellbound, grabbed my undivided attention and chained me to my kindle until I was done.
I loved Noelle. I loved Aidan. I shipped them together. I loved the conflict, the pace, the chemistry... oh my god, THE CHEMISTRY... It was soooo freaking good, I needed a new pair of knickers when I finished lol.

“We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams.”

I was looking forward to get back to this book and to read Aiden's story. In the first book he seemed to be the funny and the playful friend, but in this book, his character did not feel right. It felt like he was an imposter.

“Even when love stares you right in the face, you can’t see it because you don’t trust it.”

Noelle, was a likable character, but no less annoying. She was fighting but putting it up for sex, which if a guy did I st

A well written second chance at love contemporary romance with a HEA!

The Bachelor’s Promise is almost a second chance at romance mixed with being previously almost step-siblings as her dad dated his mom for years. This was full of emotion, heartache and an irresistible chemistry between two very likeable but flawed characters that you can’t help but hope can find a way to get a HEA.

Noelle and Aiden have an incredible chemistry that is emotional with plenty of drama and heartache but that irresi
There are too many shades of a Judith McNaught romance that accompanied me throughout this read: the dark, tortured hero screwed over by those he’d trusted and the virgin heroine who’d become the scourge of his existence, the simmering tension, the fraught history and the huge climax that typically involves a screw-up and massive grovelling.

But I do think Naima Simone does pull it off, in what feels like a regency romance superimposed on contemporary Boston as the whole drama between impoverish

The Bachelor’s Promise brings together two characters with a shared history, both in need of a fresh start and redemption.

Aiden Kent and Noelle Rana first met as teenagers when their parents were dating and moved in together. To say Aiden detested the Rana family is an understatement. But when Noelle needed Aiden’s help, he was there for her. A budding friendship began until the death of Aiden’s mother. Due to events involving her family, Aiden cut Noelle out of his life and in the process broke

Aiden and Noelle have a complicated history in this sexy enemies to lovers romance. Noelle's family was the cause of much grief for Aiden - his mother having been in love with Noelle's no good con artist father that resulted in some poor decision making on her part. And then Noelle's brother Tony got involved with Aiden's fiance, ruining yet another relationship in Aiden's life. I loved it!

Noelle is one helluva a heroine. She's cursed with despicable family members that have only served to break her down time and time again. She goes after what she wants with determination. And despite his reluctance, it is this determination that draws Aiden in.

Aiden is a typical tortured hero. He's stuck in the past and has held onto it as it has kept him "safe" thus far. When Noelle re-enters his life, he's forced to confront his demons, as well as an attraction that hasn't dimmed ov

Easy is not a word that either Aiden or Noelle are familiar with. Fight is the motto that plays on repeat like a theme song in their lives. He's the guy with the chip on his shoulder and enough anguish and guilt to last a lifetime. Noelle's the woman that carries shame and heartache around like her own personal zip code. Events beyond their control has left these two at odds. Can a promise to a dying woman heal two broken hearts? The Bachelor's Promise paints a picture of so much pain, but out o ...more

A great dual POV story with two characters that have to deal with a painful past to have any type of future.

I absolutely LOVED Aiden from the start. Although he had some tough issues to work through with Noelle, his personal character was heartwarming and endearing. Noelle was a little harder to like at the beginning but she really grew on me. Her strength ad need to stay loyal to her family even after the way she grew up was unbelievable. Denying the chemistry wasn't even possible. The
