'Pretending With the Greek Billionaire' by Kira Archer is the story of Luca Vasilakis and Constance McMurty.
Constance is a social worker and is in charge of six little orphan/foster girls who Constance really cares about. On one of Constance outing with the girls they end up at Luca's house in his pool.
Luca is a hardcore playboy who has just been informed if he doesn't start acting in a more professional way and settle down he will loose his promise place in the family business. When Luca meet

I’ve yet to find a book by this author that I haven’t thoroughly enjoyed - and I certainly enjoyed this one. It tells the story of Greek billionaire and heir Luca Vasilakis and the young lady he finds trespassing on his supposedly secure property, Constance McMurtry - and she had her six young girls with her! Constance is acting as house mother to the girls, all of whom are orphaned or fostered and only ventured onto his property to retrieve one of the children but when the paparazzi take incrim ...more

I have mixed feelings about this book, I pushed through it and am glad I did because I did like the ending. Why did I have trouble getting there (and did more than a bit of skimming)?

I didn't really like either character in the beginning. (view spoiler)

So, no. I wanted to like this, the premise seemed amusing...the whole Brady Bunch idea. But what I got was the most judgmental, sanctimonious and bitchy heroine, well, ever.

I thought she was rude, condescending, preachy, and just plain impossible to like. For example...Constance moves into Luca's home to assist with maintaining the charade. She brings the children with her...fine. None of them all babies. None of them. But she proceeds to lecture

Pretending with the Greek Billionaire was another great contemporary romance read from Kira Archer! I wasn't sure if I was going to like it because I felt like the fact that Constance was essentially the foster mother to six little girls would distract too much from the romance but it actually didn't and like with the previous books I've read by this author I really liked this love story. This story was so much fun and while it focuses on two people pretending to be in a relationship the chemist ...more

Awesome fun read! He's a fun loving carefree playboy, she's a serious house mother to six small children. Together they are they oddest of odd couples but they need each other. He needs to prove to his father that he has settle down and given up his playboy ways. She needs to prove to the mother superior at the orphanage that the pictures the paparazzi took were innocent and her reputation is safe. As they spend time together their relationship begins to change but can they really count on each ...more

I wasn't quite sure what to expect with this one. I've never read Kira Archer before and I knew this was one of those shorter books with a goofy title and those are always hit or miss.

Glad I didn't miss this one. It was a nice and fun and a great way to spend a lazy day reading. It wasn't as long as the novels I usually read but it wasn't minuscule either. I felt like the author fit everything in without it feeling too rushed. Which is weird because if you look at the actual timeline it's a real

What a delightful story! The combination of committed playboy Luca, and caring and kindhearted Constance, mother to six orphans (that she's already practically adopted) on a picturesque Greek island sounded like a fun and unique premise (if rather fanciful) so I was excited to read this. Having to pose as an engaged couple to save Constance's reputation and improve Luca's due to an inopportune paparazzi photo sets them up to spend time together and discover they are more than just what's on the ...more

What a delightfully comical and just plain fun story. I've read the same premise by other authors, but with Luca in this mix, there is just so much more energy to this book. While Luca brings the humor, edge and "hot" to the story, Constance brings the utter charm and emotion. The story is riddled with clever, witty dialogue (and a few memorable inner monologues) and banter, while at the same time creating a flow from beginning to end that was hard to resist. Luca is a force of nature throughout ...more

A fun, get your act together book.

We have Luca Vasilakis, playboy who of course gets hounded by the paparazzi. His father gives him an ulitmatium--one month to show him that he changed and can run his billion dollar company or he is out and someone else will get the company.

In walks in Constance, a social worker who is raising six orphans, and comes off a little stuffy. They way these two are thrown into the spotlight is nothing short of funny. Their personalities should not work but they do. I

I enjoyed reading this book. Finished it within a day. It was a fast read. I was not bored at all, mostly since it was really entertaining. I loved both characters. I loved how they grew. Sometimes I got confused of the time changes, cause it flew too fast but it was ok for the most part.

Come on!!!

This is a ready for TV movie script.....with better then average sexual exploits!! But it's So typical it makes me a little pissed!! I was so mad towards the end I almost didn't finish it!! I mean the word LAME comes to mind.....the woman main character was so stupid at the end and click I might add, it made me sad to read it!!! She's shy, she's tough, she's a prude, she's has pent up sexuality.....then she also jumps to conclusions and punishes perceived wrongs like a true blue blood

After having experienced some disillusionment with the last few Greek hunk stories I had picked up, I wasn’t really sure about this one. Fortunately, Luka and Constance were so good together I’m more than glad I took a chance on Pretending With the Greek Billionaire.

I loved the transformation of Luca and how he related to the little girl. Luca starts off as this self absorbed party billionaire who was good at his job but didn’t know how to be out of the spotlight. You could see that subconsciously he didn’t like all the attention but because of wild youth moments it is there and he is stuck with it. His dad gives him the ultimatum and that is when Constance crashes into his world and turns it upside down.

I am a self-confessed Harlequin book lover. Before the days of my Kindle and my discovery of Indie authors (b/c I've always been an underdog kind of girl, so Indie books are right up my alley), I used to consume Harlequin books at an ALARMING rate. Cheap books individually, but with the number of books I read it was an expensive habit. And one of my

What is there to not love about a sexy Greek billionaire with a quick wit and adorably cocky attitude? I loved Luca from the minute he woke up hungover all the way to the minute he became domesticated. This story was different than anything else I've read lately. Don't get me wrong, it's your typical romance novel, but the different aspects to the plot set it apart from other new releases. For one, I loved the setting, most of what I've read recently has all been set in the US, but I loved the concept of Greece and the beautiful description as the setting.

I also loved the fact that Kira Archer tackled a tough issue, foster and orphaned children in this story. I think that that's a super hard

Kira Archer clearly rocks. This book, like everything else she writes, is amazing.

There's pretty much everything to love about this book. From the moment Constance literally crashes the party that is Luca Vasilakis and his epic playboy life, chaos ensues. Maddening, delightful, sexy, playful, chaos. I mean, there are six children involved, which effectively guarantees pandemonium.

What it does not guarantee is love.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

With a wonderful writing style, Ms. Archer writes characters that engage us and gives us a book world that is very clear and defined; however, my issue stems from the author’s execution of the storyline. The timeframe within which Luca operates makes the storyline not so plausible. For the sake of booklandia, I tried to just ignore that and enjoy the story for what it is but it’s really hard to ignore when I’m being reminded of it. When a re
