Start your review of Gaijin

This is the kind of book where the language doesn't leave you after you set it down. The feelings, the images it conjures-- which sounds too clunky of a word for such beautiful work. The way Gaijin is told, I don't think it'd work in a more conventional format. And thank goodness for that, because its a wonderful cocktail of myth and memoir as it is.
A really good summer read this book is, and I highly recommend the experience of reading its pages. ...more
