Nothing groundbreaking or life-changing here, everything mentioned was pretty obvious to even the most novice of runners (don't skimp on your shoes! don't have your music so loud that you can't hear what's going on around you! don't try a new gel/bar the day of the race and be stuck with a terrible flavor!).

Throughout the book there are ~inspiring~ quotes and one was from Ben Franklin. The book listed him as a US President. ...I understand this was published in the UK but surely that should have been caught.

This book was written for someone who has never picked up or perhaps even seen a pair of running shoes in their life, or maybe it's more for someone who has never heard about running.
I wanted this book to be all about how to get to a 5k,10k... ultra marathon through a set plan. This is included but this book just has so much unnecessary nonsense
