His wife, Heike, is also a writer and often works with her husband. She often comes up with the story ideas and therefore is generally credited as co-author. Their daughter, Rebecca, is also a writer.
Writing short stories since age 15, Hohlbein was first recognized as an author after sending in a manuscript he and his wife had written at a fantasy and science fiction writing contest in 1982. They won and their book, Märchenmond (English title: "Magic Moon"), was published by Ueberreuter Publishing, soon becoming a bestseller and winning several awards. It is one of their greatest successes till today.
Many of his more than 200 books are translated and published in many European countries as well as in South Korea. Yet for many years none of his works had been translated into English. In 2006, Magic Moon was translated into English and published in the United States.

Después de que los dos libros anteriores me decepcionaran, éste empezó con muy buen pié. El personaje parecía haber evolucionado por fin y las interacciones se volvieron más autenticas. Estaba disfrutando del libro. Que manera de estropearlo todo en 30 paginas...
Justo al final volvieron a la dinámica de personajes actuando de maneras completamente ilógicas e incluso contradictorias solo por generar giros de guión sin sentido.
Vaya juego de "voy a luchar hasta el final" "oh no, he sido derrotado..." "JA mentira, gano yo otra vez" en un espacio de 15-10 paginas.
He pasado de querer darle 4 estrellas a 2... De ahí la media que he dejado...

January 29, 2021Me gustó mucho este libro, me pareció muy buen cierre de saga en su momento, y luego me enteré q hay más de 15 libros.... pero aquí no publicaron más.. . Comentar q me costó la vida conseguir este libro. Al final vino a España desde México y paso muchos pesares hasta que llegó a mis manos.....menos mal que llegó.....
