Secrets of the Widow's Son: The Mysteries Surrounding the Sequel to The Da Vinci Code

Rate this book
Secrets of the Widow’s Son is an unprecedented publishing a book about a book that has yet to be published. As the world waits breathlessly for Dan Brown to publish his sequel to The Da Vinci Code , this new book, Secrets of the Widow’s Son, prepares international audiences for what they will experience in Brown’s forthcoming book. Instead of asking what is fact and what is fiction after reading Brown’s next book (as so many readers did with The Da Vinci Code ), those who read Secrets of the Widow’s Son will have the unique opportunity to explore these questions in advance.
Secrets of the Widow’s Son will lead the reader along an incredibly fascinating, thought-provoking, and ultimately shocking trail of clues, codes, and long-forgotten history, from George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and the other Freemasons who were America’s Founding Fathers to an American capital city that rivals The Da Vinci Code’s Paris. The world awaits Dan Brown’s The Solomon Key . But it need not await the mysteries, adventures, themes, and characters likely to appear in that book—because now there is Secrets of the Widow’s Son.

Ein Buch über ein Buch, das es noch gar nicht gibt? Eine Kuriosität, die sich aber spannender liest als das Endergebnis.

Oppotunistic, embarrassing prequel to Dan Brown's next novel. Lots of !!!! and Dan Brown's name every other paragraph. If he has any shame, he'd give Dan Brown all the royalties.

Pretty interesting read with lots
of information. Great book to compare against Dan Brown's 'THE LOST SYMBOL'. Found some things I did not know about before.

secrets of the code uncovered, a riddle embedded in the da-vinci-code...cover..!..selected letters slightly bolder than others..spilling out...." is there no help for the widows son"..!!!....reserch led david shugart and his team to understand the role of the widows son.....

in history of freemasnary,...biblical-apocrypha,..mormanism,.. various other secert societies,. and occult belief systems,.. SO SAYS THE BACK OF THE BOOK.... but as stated in side ( who... is the widows son..?) is it a creation of a certain grade, degree, on a perceptive level... that can be used in either of the
societies...mentioned...BUT... what if the corruption is so ingrained,..in an epidemic background of lies,..
deceit, that creates an uncontrollable Leviathan,..
in the review,,MARY-MAGDALENE,.. it is hinted,...sujested,...also in the review,,THE MARK OF THE BEAST....it is implyed with certianity.!..and location given.......while in good old U.S.A....it has become a logical fact...in the review..FOUNDING FATHERS..SECRET-SOCIETY'S....& in the other review.
SECRET SOCIETIES OF AMERICA N'S ELITE.... it is written in stone.?..... the first six signatures on the bill of rights belong to secret-society members

I received this book from a friend. They told me they got it for me because I like Dan Brown, and I figured it was similar to Dan Browns style so I put it in my book case and decided to read it later, after Lost Symbol. I finally decided to read this book and realized it isn't an author whose style is similar, it is an author who is trying to figure out what Dan Brown will write about in his book after DaVinci Code. We now know that book is called Lost Symbol and I have already read that, and done a DC Lost Symbol tour with some dear friends. If I hadn't read Lost Symbol first I probably would have found this book to be more of a page turner. I did like it, but there was no mystery involved. The cool thing about reading Lost Symbol first is knowing if the authors predictions come true or not. The author was convinced the name of the book was going to be Solomon Key and we all know that isn't true. I will give the author credit because he did get a good deal of predictions true. But I must also state that when you mention every monument and significant structure in a city where a book is to take place, you are bound to get a few right.

This was a sensationalist attempt to ride on Dan Brown's coattails to get a book published. It was mildly entertaining, but the style was obnoxious. It might very well have been well researched but there was no way to tell in the absence of footnotes. I read some things that surprised me, but I am highly skeptical of whether I actually "learned" them. The same sensationalist style is used to imply conspiracies where none exist. In one instance, several pages are devoted to a historical figure the reader is led to believe is a freemason, only to be told that there is no provable tie. There are other books on this topic that are much more reliable.

Okay I wanted this book to be interesting to me with a bunch of history and some conspiracy theory. Instead it was a lot of love about how wonderful Dan Brown is. After listening to a whole disc I had learned the authors loved Dan Brown and George Washington was a mason. Awesome. Think I'm done.
