As the US celebrated its first woman President, the country mourned the disintegration of race relations after a series of landmark court decisions that seemed to shield the law enforcement community. Mistrust and violence reminiscent of the Jim Crow era reigned in the South and particularly in a small Texas town called Blythe. Unprecedented police heavy-handedness in urba ...more

I won this book in a giveaway and I am so glad I did! Here's my honest review...

This was a story about an idea to deal with the hate in our country. It was a super hero idea with a realistic for today's feel.

The cover had me hooked. One of the things I liked about this story was the glipse into the past and how the civil rights war affected a small town. What I did not like was I could not see how it

The Syndicate: Operation Valiant Exodus by E. Clay does a great job of relating on today’s events while creating a story line that will have you waiting to see what will happen next. I do feel like some of the scenes could have transitioned better, but that did not stop me from reading the book. I just caught up to the story and kept going.

What is a nation to do when there is nothing but chaos? That is the main theme of the story (and seems like our everyday existence in real life). The charact
