An angel with a cause. A demon without a clue.

Life in Heaven is a snooze and Sera is always on the lookout for reasons to ditch the Pearly Gates. When a job opens to get close to the orphaned son of a King of Hell, she doesn't hesitate in signing up. Sera’s role is befriend and protect Colin until he is old enough to seize his powers and overthrow his tyrannical father.

Piece of cake.

Colin knows his best friend, Sera, is quirky. In fact, he loves her for it—more than she can know. So when she tells him he's the heir to a Kingdom of Hell, he tries to play along. Sure, the whole thing’s nuts, but there isn’t much he wouldn’t do for her.

Still, Colin isn't prepared for what he learns. Or sees.

The closer Sera gets to completing her mission, the more conflicted she becomes. In all eternity, she never thought she'd fall in love, especially not with someone who happens to be the best friend she’s ever had. But no matter how badly Sera and Colin want to stay together, duty, demons, and Heaven and Hell stand in the way.

Sera is an angel and has been around a long time. She finds heaven BORING! and does whatever she can do to get out! She gets a long-term assignment to befriend and guard Colin, who does not know who and what he truly is. That changes real fast when the secret gets out, and now they are on the run. At first, Colin doesn't believe her, but she's his best friend so plays along. That is, until Sera is forced to protect him in all her try angelic glory. Now he has to re-evaluate everything he knows and the truth doesn't necessarily set him free. Colin loves her and knowing the truth just makes him more determined to not give her up She had one job to do - protect and guard him. Falling in love with him was not part of her assigned duties. The only one thing is standing in their way - Heaven and Hell.

Colin and Sera, could there be another more perfect pair. Best friends forever, they know each other inside out. Well, kind of. Colin is in for one rude awakening once he finds out she's an angel and he is half-demon heir to a Kingdom of Hell. Of course the question is now who is the bigger Hellion. Sera is a naughty angel. She just has a problem with being angel. All that having to be good. And good is just no fun! Colin is nerd-ish and let us not forget, half demon. Yes learning the truth about his bio-parents and his destiny...now that didn't go over so well. However, she is his bestie and he has loved her forever, he's just afraid to tell her. Best part about them being friends, is how well they know and can play off each other. I alternated between laughing at their snappy dialogs and the situations they found themselves in.

There's not too many extra characters in this book, but the ones that it does contain have caught my complete focus. Savina, who is Colin's half-sister, I initially didn't care for but by the end I found to be worth paying attention to. Camael, you are quite the quagmire. I'm still on the fence about why I disliked you the most. However, the best guest appearance in a book goes to....El. BAHAHAHA!!! I absolutely LOVE what the author did here. As soon as I finished reading Hellion, I immediately ran to the author’s page to see if this was going to be a series. PLEASE let this be a series! Please! I need more Colin and Sera! I need to know what happens with Savina and Camael. There is so much potential in these characters and their untold stories, I would love to see where it all goes.

I have read several books by author Rosalie Stanton and if you are not reading her creations then you are seriously missing out. Quirky characters that find themselves in interesting predicaments, with just the right amount of heat and you will find yourself wanting to read more of her books. Get Hellion. Read it and you will see what I mean when I say Ms. Stanton is an absolute must read author.

First off, this cover! I absolutely love this cover! It's so pretty and peaceful. It really does justice with the story.
This was certainty a different take on the angels and demons story.
Sera has been an angel for centuries but finds heaven so boring, so she takes the job of growing up with a half demon that doesn't know he's a half demon.
Keeping Colin safe turns out to be easy for 25 yrs. Then one day everything changes.
Most of the story only covers 2 days but not much really seems to happen. I mean Colin believes Sera after some crazy stuff happens but then they spend the rest of the time working out their relationship and what it means.
A unexpected twist and skip ahead a week. The story ends with a lot of questions. I mean what happens after? Is there going to be a next book or was that it?
Another problem I really had was the conflicting reasons on how Colin's birth mother died. Sera says one thing and then a few pages later it was another.

I received a copy from the author through Book Review Buzz in exchange for a honest review. Thank you.

Sera and Colin have grown up together for the past 25 years and are best friends. Although Colin is secretly in love with Sera, he is afraid of ruining their friendship by telling her. What he doesn't know is Sera is an Angel sent to Earth to protect him, and he is the son of a nun and a King of Hell.

It all falls apart when Sera finds a note "They know" and suddenly she needs to rush him away and admit their true identities - she is an angel and he is a demon.

I liked the friendship and the history of these two. Once they are on the run tensions rise as Colin realizes Sera isn't being truthful for the first time in their friendship. I loved the surprise ending.

** I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the Author **

First of all, the story is a great idea. Hellion is a new take on angels and demons with their ancient rivalry constantly in the way, which is what drew me into the story immediately. Not to mention the cover is beautiful and the author has a great way with words, but I feel like the plot of this one was a bit rushed, leaving behind gaps. Especially when it came to describing certain events, the time line also feels rushed. Other than that, the book stands solid on it's own. It's a great read that I wish I had picked up sooner.

The characters are fleshed out well, Sera and Colin are very well developed characters with realistic problems, their relationship is one of my favorite things about this novel aside from the fantasy aspect of it all. The side characters are well developed as well, they stand strong on their own and have purposes for the plot, they're not just meager bystanders for sake of pushing conversation along which definitely stood out in the story. The writing was beautiful as well, descriptive and imaginative.

Stanton carves out a new type of romance genre in this book, leaving a burning romance and promise of exciting adventure. The characters are put to the test, dragging the reader along as they face off between Heaven and Hell, it's a breath of fresh air in a stale genre. If this became a series, I would most definitely continue it on. I have never read anything by Rosalie Stanton before, but this makes me curious to start looking into her other works. Hellion is well written, just didn't entirely scratch the itch I had when I first read the synopsis of the book.

**I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.** OMG!! I had never read anything before from Rosalie Stanton and was pretty interested in the concept behind this story. Sera is an angel who is given a long term assignment on Earth. The job: Grow up pretending to be a human all while protecting Colin ( a demon who has been touched by God). The pros are that she gets to have a great life here on Earth and Colin is her best friend. Sera is kind of a trouble maker in Heaven because quite frankly she finds is boring as can be so she jumps at the chance to be down here with the humans. The cons are that she is aware that Colin has been in love with her for his whole life and she is pretty sure she feels the same. The twist: Colin has no clue he is a demon, that Sera is an angel, the his siblings are trying to kill him so that he does't overthrow dear old Dad and become a ruler in one of the circles in Hell. Oh and that after he touches his talisman and unleashes his full power that Sera will be lost to him forever.
Why did I love this book? Let's see....it was a different type of romance than I have read before ( some of it reminded me of the Supernatural TV series, which I love). It was also pretty steamy. Like you could feel the chemistry between these two popping right off the page. There are some background characters but very few and they were well developed too.
I have to agree with some of the other reviews I have seen and say it would be a cool series.

Hellion by Rosalie Stanton

Book is focused on relationship between two friends (long-term friends): Colin and Sera.
It shows how their relation change in a brief moment. Due to some conditions (more in book).

Book is classified as paranormal romance and erotic (not that much).

Plot take place nowadays, so everyone can imagine how their whereabouts look like from some films :)

I recommend this book especially to female, due to very emotional pack inside book. If you like romances and heaven/hell motive this book is for you :)

Reading this history you can't get lost within characters, because there are only 2 of them that happen to be important during well something like 70% of book, so you can concentrate on the most important things - relationship between Colin and Sera.

Description made me think that there would be more action, but I welcomed a thought of book with slow action and a lot of emotions (so rare when I think about paranormal book).

And in the end, there are sex scenes, but it's not like the core of it. So don't look for something like Gray or Cross in it. - I really appreciate that it was written like that:)

So, in conclusion I recommend this book to people who look for emotions, changing relationship. Even if you don't like paranormal things I think you should try, because it's not the most important thing in it.

I will come back to it in some time :) Have a nice adventure :)

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This is a paranormal romance with a different type of twist on angels and demons and religion. Sera and Colin are so well defined that they feel human. The story moves along steady, but also fast and is easy to follow. I really didn’t want to put this book down even for a minute. This was my first book by the author, but definitely not my last! It’s a wonderful read!

This is an adorable book that hits all my particular loves. Charming but flawed male lead? Check. Strong and relatable female lead? Check. Perplexing situation that seems initially hopeless? Check. Impossible to predict plotline? Double-check.

The dialogue is snappy, the tension off-the-hook and the story is unforgettable. Check this gem out - you won't regret it.
